Should I buy a pen?

I was in my LHS yesterday and the guy was trying to sell me a pen. I'm not sure what brand it was but it came in a nice case, had attachments for flowers and regular dabbing. Best thing was they had prefilled carts that had oil in them. They make the oil and sell the carts for $60 per gram.

I tried the cart and the oil while there and it was amazing. He said it works better than a Pax for flowers, too. The whole system is $200 (which I think is high) but he will throw in 2 carts and some oil. Then I can buy the prefilled cartridges form him (he's a caregiver). It was the first time I've tried a pen and was very impressed.

Since I'd be getting 2 plus grams of oil, it sounds like I should do it. Opinions?

If the LHS and guy is someone you feel comfortable buying his/their recommendation, and since you tried it yourself and it satisfied (the whole point really), then its only up to you if your willing to lay out the cash on something you like IMO.

Perhaps find out more detail on the manu name and do some youtubing/google to check out its longevity/issues before biting the bullet ? :shrug:

Yea, I thought the same thing, but he did take it apart and show me the flower attachment. I wish I still had the High Times from a couple months ago that showed all the pens. The dude swore up and down that it outperforms the PAx. he said he owns 2 Paxs and never uses them anymore. I would not be buying it for flowers anyway, really.

What I liked about it was the pre-filled carts that I can buy from him and just drop them in the pen and go. We also stuck it right into a male joint on a few tubes and milked the crap out of them. By the time I left I was baked!

Maybe I'll call them this afternoon.

OK, I called. The guy said that they make these custom, but the main parts and battery are from Micro G. So, I searched for info and found a few so-so reviews of the Micro G pens. They also sell for $100, but I guess with the modifications and extra parts it might be worth it. I don't know, I'm on the fence. I mean the oil hits were nothing short of amazing, but if it has problems down the road then it's not worth the hassle.

What do you guys think?

Id stick with something tried and true while filling your own carts. That way you know you have quality equipment as well as meds every time. For $200 you can have quite then pen setup.

Also how can HT rate this custom cart over the Pax when the LHS makes them "custom"? 10 bucks says this is just an atmos rx herb chamber which may or may not be modified further by them.

Also LMAO at the HT reviews of vapes and pens. IIRC the last time they did a test thr Atmos and G Pen ended up in the top 3. LOOOOOL.

Basically youre better off getting a Pax or better yet a Solo for flowers and something like the Vape Bros Dabbler or the UP Tech Omicron for concentrates.

In my experience, most pens have an unpleasant rubbery/plasticy taste that ruins the flavor of the oil. Convenient, yes, but I'd take a dome and nail over a pen any day of the week :2c:. And I'd be cautious about a pen that "Does flowers better than a Pax".

Alright then. This is what I thought. And I already have a Pax and a Solo :)
It seems like they sell these so you keep coming back for the carts. This place is kind of sketchy, I mean just selling carts to patients who are not YOUR patients is illegal here. Legally I'd have to sign him up as my caregiver, like the dispensaries. I'm not a huge stickler for MJ laws, but I don't want to keep going back there for overpriced oil. He was a great salesman, though, hehe. Here try THIS :)

It is a big plus. I kind of wish there was a transparent KISS cart.

Get a PNWT. Fits perfectly on the KISS cart.

I wouldnt call this a pen... more like a dildo or electric tooth brush ;)


Seriously though the Dr Dabber or (I prefer) the Vaper Bros Dabbler are good choices.
