That's a lot of water! Granted mine is much smaller but I only fill up to the bottom of the diff holes.

The water level was actually lower, but I find that the water stays above the disk unless I kinda shake it back down, a bit like a honeycomb. If you look at the down stem the water level is actually lower there and more of a indication of where i filled it at the start.

I have tried lower levels and it feels a little airy...
