Rogue 2 vs Lobo question.

I always use my S3 upside-down to eliminate any chances of flower falling into the oven but the risk is kind of overblown. If you really want to use it right side up many people just place a screen on top of the flower to be safe. Honestly, I used to just tamp the bowl gently and never had any problems back when I didn't invert it.
I am about 50/50 with using the Solo upside down as I have a glass piece that I can use with it right side up. I agree that the risk of flower falling into the oven is overblown. I do give it a gentle tamp as you say. A piece falls loose every 15-20 times. Usually that is at the end of the bowl (stem?) when things are quite dry and shrunken and I don't notice until I remove the stem and look. Rarely does something come out early on and that does taste more noticeable. It is definitely not a reason to avoid the Solo.

When stuff does fall out into the oven what is the cleanup like? Hopefully a brush and maybe a little iso on a qtip? I hated cleaning my pax it was such a chore.

99% of the time just turn it upside down and give it a small shake, or just blow it out. Otherwise a brush or very worst case a little iso on a qtip. The Solo is very easy to keep clean.

Arizer has said never to use any liquid on the oven as it can damage it. As mentioned, if anything does fall in there it'll be bone dry and should just blow away. You could use a plastic tool or toothpick to remove anything stubborn but honestly it usually stays really clean.

Another trick I used to use when using the Solo upright was to tamp the bowl slightly and hold the stem upside down briefly to see if it holds. Then I'd take my first hit with the Solo inverted (gerbil style lol) and once the weed is hot and sticky, it won't move again and you can use it upright without worry. A tamp alone will work almost all the time. It's not a thing.

Yes exactly if I were to heat up my Dynavap M7 and then proceeded to grab the heated end, it would be my own damn fault. No reason to blame Dynavap for user error.
I'm not assigning blame on anything; I don't agree with your sentiments on accidents giving people what they deserve. I hear it's a great product.

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
The other device that hasn't been mentioned because it is outside the cost range you mentioned, is the Tafee Bowle 2. I have to say, this device kicks vaporizer ass and happens to offer the coolest portable dry-stem vapor that I know of. It is also sooo easy to use and clean. While my experience with it is relatively short, it has risen to top of my reach test and will probably share that spot with my TM2 for some time to come.

It is a weird looking thing, and I never use the cup. Plus, it uses the term "portable" rather loosely, but its functionality is unmatched in its playing field. Took me a while to warm up to it from an aesthetics standpoint.

If it helps with one's health, sometimes the cost can be justified.

I've seen it and how quickly it produces vapor; I wasn't fond of the overall carrying a bowl around with me. I'll check youtube for it without the bowl.

If I decide to go with a lesser cost one I've been really eyeing the Rogue 2. The higher cost ones in my view were the Hex and Solo 3. I thought the Venty was said to have a lot of issues ,mostly battery related, and really hard to clean? How does the Venty compare to the Solo 3?

Whatever I get I'd like to get cool vapor that taste decent like in my volcano classic, my lungs just can't take the heat anymore and the headaches from coughing. I'm getting up there in age ..guess these things happen. My V3P makes me cough a lot if I inhale long enough to get a good hit and I generally run about 370F.

While I'd like it to be quick to heat I'd say the V3P heats up in about 20sec and that good enough for me.

This stuck out to me where you say that the heat is what's irritating and set off a lot of lights and alarms in my head. THAT is a solved problem on the V3P, six ways from Sunday. I know, because I also run mine at 370-375 for huge rips (or tiny sips) and am extremely sensitive to hot and harsh vapor. More than ruining the experience, it makes my voice all wonky the next day which I hate.

If you didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new vape, or have to get used to a new vape, consider upgrading the mouthpiece on yours. If you have the stock plastic one, you can get either the POTV top (which comes with dimpled glass that does okay), or the WPA adapters to use with a jhook/glass, etc.

I'll plug myself and say that one of my product lines is accessories for the V3P specifically, that cool the vapor near completely. I do this because the V3P is my favorite electric portable, and it's a labor of love to make this stuff for it. :)

I'm using a WPA as the mouth piece since it was better than the stem it comes with. Additionally, I hate the draw resistance and the amount of time it takes to get vapor. I do use dosage caps since I wanted a easy clean up. I wonder how dirty the V3P gets without them and how easy it is to clean. My pax made me like this...that thing sucks so much to clean.

I would have posted this in the vaporizer sub which focus on individual devices but I'm not allowed to post there yet for some reason.

Summery: Looking for a battery operated vaporizer with good airflow and quick heat up for around <$200 ish. Portability isn't a issue as I only consume in my home but I'd like a battery operated one so I can take it outside and store it easily in a draw when not using it.

I bought a XMAX V3 Pro last year and have a love hate relationship with it. I love it heats up fast since I'm more of a one/two hit kind of user. I do enjoy a session on the weekends every now and then but generally I prefer a hit or two and continue this throughout the day to maintain. While the V3 pro heats up quick for this the air flow is god awful. Perhaps it's because I'm older but I struggle with the resistance and long deep lung pulls it takes. Since I dip in and out throughout the day I need something that is good for this type of consuming ,wouldn't mind it being good for sessions to, that has good airflow and produces vapor quicker than the V3 because I just can't take the super long deep lung pulls.

To this end I've been eyeing the Rogue 2, Lobo and Solo3. The Solo 3 seems to fit the bill but I have concerns. It seems like some have issues with the flower falling out of the stem and into the oven where it burns in the oven and makes a mess to clean. Additionally, the stem has that built in glass screen which people say is very restrictive but they might make other stems? The final thought on the Solo is they now have a Version 2 of the solo 3 where they have fixed the operating system to provide a better experience. I was going to get one but POTV wants over a hundred more than the V1 (on sale) for generally nothing more than a software update and usb-c interface. It seems absurd. I might have wait on this.

The Lobo and Rogue 2 seem fairly close. The Lobo seems to have better airflow and the Rogue 2 heats up quicker. I was wondering if anybody here has used both and perhaps even has a XMAX V3 can chime in? Is the Rogue 2 as bad as the XMAX? The Lobo seems to have a larger bowl which is nice. The Rogue 2 a bigger battery but built in.

I own a Volcano classic since 08 that is still gong strong. I love it, it hits fairly hard and great taste. I'm tired of having it laying around on my desk and the bags and I generally don't do sessions as much. I bought a pax several years ago and find it hot, harsh and it stinks so bad. My XMAX doesn't have any residial odor after being turned off where the pax would stink up the room. Anybody that has owned one knows.

I'm curious to what you guys might recommend and thought I'd join and ask.

Thanks, for the input!
I received my rogue 2 on Friday. I've been through dozens and dozens of vapes, herb and oil. Roommate has had a lobo since it dropped. The removable battery and slightly slimmer make the lobo more on the go pocket friendly, however I've needed to swap batteries less and less as I float between various devices. I owned a fury original and I can say the rogue 2 is a huge step up performance wise. It doesn't get as hot as my v3 pro, or the lobo. Heat up time is never something I worry too much about, im rarely in a rush for an on demand hit if I'm gonna hit some herb. I feel like the lobo carries a "bickel tickle" similar to the s&b portables, and was what kept me from replacing my v3 pro with the lobo. Both devices are similar to the xmax in not stinking up a room- that's kind of a signature of conduction vapes.
