Looks good.
Works great too.
The extracts add a touch of citric acid (and glycerin to "bind") as a preservative.
Knowing yours is pure juice (perhaps diluted with water is a plus)...
be sure to change it regularly, and not leave it over 24 hours... as it requires refrigeration to combat growth of bacterial colonies.
I decided to go the pure cranberry juice route, diluted with water.
Hey @Vicki, I remember a while back another member warned about using cranberry juice because of added sugars. I looked into the juice you are using and it looks ok, no added sugar.
But anyways when Botanical Choice was having the 5 for $15 sale I ordered 10 bottles and after about 10 months I only used maybe 1 bottle and I have given away a few but I still have 7 bottles of Botanical Choice Cranberry Extract in my fridge. At this rate I will have cranberry extract till the year 2020. If you would like PM me and I will send you a bottle.
Happy Vaping!
when I used pure cranberry juice for tests, I used about 20-25% cranberry juice.
I kept it pale pink.
I would not use more than 30% personally
I've just gotten is the habit of changing the water daily. It cleans so easily when using the extract that it is no sweat. Very hot water is all I usually use unless I have left a piece filled a few days and then it gets a PBW wash.Even without added sugars, the natural fruit sugar of the cranberry juice can ferment, leave a build-up, mold, draw fruit flies, &/or taste funky.
Very hot water rinse daily, and I'd recommend a solid cleaning at least once a week.
I put one drop of Iosol Iodine in mine, which I hope is retarding bacterial growth.
Personal perception has led me to feel that at higher cranberry juice concentrations more THC is interrupted on it's way through the water.. and stays within the water/juice mix.
@Vitolo Is there a specific reason? Taste?
Cybrguy I too store mine in a dark cabinet. I've had no issues with it though I opened my first bottle over a year ago. Yes, the label on the Botanic Choice bottle does state "Store in a dry, cool place." My place is neither particularly dry or cool - room temp and humid west coast. The fridge has the cool part covered, but isn't dry.Hmmmm...
@Vitolo I have 2 bottles of the BC extract. One is unopened and in a dark cabinet. The other is opened on my "smoking table" and just kept at room temperature. There are no warnings on the bottle to keep refrigerated or anything other than "Best if used by date on bottle Store in dry cool place". Do you think I should be keeping the opened bottle in the refrigerator? That might be a pain but I will do it if you think I should. A bottle should last me at least 3 or 4 months, and maybe longer...
Edit: I'm quite certain we talked about this earlier in the thread. I just took a casual look back and didn't find it. The memory fades...

This may be chemically a sound concept, but it is a concept none-the-less!
I arrived at this concept after many trials, and noticing that I consistently became less medicated the redder (more concentrated) my water/juice blend was.
Using Rezblock and Botanincal extracts, I found the same thing, but not quite so pronounced.
It is that combined with the common finding that the more extract (or concentration of juice) is in the vessel, the faster the liquid will allow growth of bacteria when in an unrefrigerated state.
My answer was in response to @Vicki's question about bottled cranberry juice used in a certain concemntration.. and not anything to do with a raw product like the extract (rezblock) which has a shelf life and has (as mentioned a few posts back) added citric acid to retard any spoilage.
Don't drink it, it tastes like a wet, dirty ash tray. You are always going to trap some actives, if you don't its not working. If you are worried about a small loss like that then I wouldn't water filter in the first place.
