Restore E-nail Coil Shape After Stretching?

I was wondering if it's possible to restore the shape of an e-nail coil after it's been stretched out for using with the Elev8r for example.
I have lots of tools if something works. Can I just whack it with a steel hammer on a hard flat surface or something?

Your best bet is heat and compression; if you have a bench vice and a torch you could warm it, compress it and let it cool in the vice. It likely won’t’ ever get as tight as it’s original wind but it should improve. Any time you put heat and compression through metal it will alter and potentially weaken it, so typical YMMV and your stuff your decisions type disclaimers apply.

I haven't tested this but always thought you could probably return a coil to somewhere near it's original shape with a strap wrench (or 2) around the outside, and a length of 16 or 20mm rod, pipe or dowel for the inside of the coil
