Resale on tinymights

Is there any particular reason that the price of a used tinymight is similar to a brand new one? Does it take a long time to get a new one? Does the warranty cover the device no matter who owns it? Just been looking at them on the used market and then realized it wasn't that much more to order one brand new.

I think people ask for a higher price than they will accept just to set expectations on haggling.

TM does cover warranty repairs for resold devices but they typically want the original order number.

I would not buy a TM used now unless I knew the seller. The counterfeits are really convincing in photos. It's a shame because I think the used marketplace in our vape community is great.

I was just assuming there was this incredible wait-list and then went to the website and you can just order one. I guess if people want to save the 20 bucks on shipping and buy them used.

The reason I went digging is because one popped up here for 210 and sold in minutes and all the others I see listed are always 250 to 300 with very few additional pieces. I'm a little cheap but at that point I'll buy a brand new one.

On the plus side, your new one will have a higher resale value. The TMs sent today have serial numbers and other anti-counterfeiting measures.

I don't intend to ever sell mine but you never know.

I'm a bit torn between ordering one or being patient and waiting and hoping for a firewood 8. I have a long while before I come up on the toad list.
I have a FW7, and I plan to buy an 8. I still use my TM most days. Both are great and there is no wrong answer.😃

What makes you grab the TM most days?...instead of the FW7?

Curious, how do the bowl sizes compare?

Honestly, I agree and would pay more for one with a serial number. At some point, it might get harder to sell them without the serial number.

edit: pls delete, I back to back posted...and reported myself, apologies.

I don't really stick with the same device all day typically. Many days I have a few in the rotation throughout. For me the TM and the FW have different jobs. Also they both extract different flavors on the same strains. And the effects seem different to me. Typically I will hit the TM on a jayhook and take the FW on dog walks. But the FW7 is also fantastic on a jayhook, which is how I spent my Friday night. Both are great for you just want to load and go, without thinking. When I want the ritual I use other devices. Either device would be good for a normal person, I just like switching it up.

The bowl size on the TM is adjustable from basically a few flakes to like half a gram, I think? And depending on your WPA you could adjust that. The FW7 has a bowl size of like .15 or .2 grams? I don't remember. I find it works best to lightly pack a medium fine grind in the FW up to just under the holes. For the TM, I load about .1 gram.

With the FW7, despite being a hybrid, I find I can sip as I go through a walk. The TM is too efficient. Even with temp stepping, and the same amount of flower, everything is extracted in 2-3 hits.

I actually tend to use both my TM and my FW7 everyday, during the day, still at home all the time, so just with WPA and dry glass pieces or through water pieces... They are the perfect complimentary pair, the FW8 will be very similar to the 7 I think though... It is like glass stem pure convection on demand and ceramic chamber pure conduction on demand, both extremely versatile and effective devices with top-notch vapor quality!

TM bowl size is more adjustable depending on your screens and stems, FW is more fixed with the ceramic chamber, but you can load anywhere from a decent amount to very little (works best if you don't load more than 3/4 full, but it works very well with tiny amounts if you want, just means fewer hits) Both have a full temperature range and very pure materials used plus the same replaceable batteries...

I have been "blown-away" by my TM, the new FW will be my next purchase!

I have seen almost a dozen pre-owned units listed 4-Sale in the past few months, and all were asking close-to or more-than the MSRP of $250. I think $230 was the lowest with $300 being the average asking price.

I believe the S&H I paid from Finland was around $20 so with a few extras that's about what they cost. It appears they hold their value, at least for now.

Canadian duties and taxes are $67.83 even with the new classification ( Sporting Goods?) as a hand warmer.:rofl:
