Hi,

Ive been combusting for 25 years or so. Lately I've been using a spoon bubbler, but the glass has just broken on the inside. I use it anyway. I've been hacking up a lot of black soot lately so I was thinking of trying vaping .... again.

I tried once before about ten years ago. I got a volcano with all the accessories, even an aluminum box. I never did like it so it got next to no use, just packed up and put away. I still have it somewhere, but it's a long way off. I never liked it because honestly, it was ALOT of hassle, and it didn't get me high.

I also now have a bunch of kids all of a sudden so I need to keep everything very discreet.

Is vaping even for me? Given that all this smoking seems to be taking a toll on my lungs, I have started to look into portable vapes. After a lot of reading I am considering a pax 2, firefly, or crafty. The crafty is too much money though. Maybe this is less of a consideration. But are these even gonna get me high? If it's anything like the volcano I know it's going to suck. I need something that provides huge hits.

Not sure what to do at this point. Guess im looking for helpful suggestions. thanks.

I wanted to add that I need something discreet, on-the-go, relatively small, etc. Vape or otherwise. Need something kinder to me that actually works.

Im not sure how or where people get these wax and oils I read about. how do you get that stuff? doesn't make sense.

I need something very efficient that doesn't waste anything. for instance, after 10 hours of research and unanswered company emails, im not sure if the pax2 will even shut the hell off?? I need to keep it in my pocket, not motionless on a desk somewhere for all to see.

and it didn't get me high.
Welcome to the site!

Little tip for you, if you want to fuck combustion 100%, you need to give it up for several weeks and vape exclusively. If you purchase a vaporizer - even the most expensive vape on the market capable of producing the densest vapor on the planet, you will never get medicated if you continue to combust at the same time.

Your body needs several weeks to 'detox' from combustion before you adjust to vaporizing. I don't know what vape to recommend for you, but my biggest suggestion is to dedicate yourself to using that vaporizer exclisively to medicate for several days/weeks before tasting combustion again.

This site contains plenty of information on how to make the best use of any respectable vaporizer, but it takes a commitment from yourself before you can ever make the switch.

ok great advice thanks. I didn't realize I had to detox. makes sense. I can do that, if I have a real good portable vape to fall back on that can be taken anywhere. I beleive ill go this route!

What is important to me is dense vapor, portability, efficiency (pack what I want to smoke and no more), quality, and decent battery life. Would be nice if it was easy to clean, and replaceable batteries that are non proprietary. Smell is less of a factor. 97% of the time Im smoking alone, the rest with one other person. The crafty would really be pushing the budget parameters at this time, not sure I can pull off a purchase that large right now.

I also have no idea how or where someone would get wax/oils? Do they work? Never seen anything like that before. Not sure if I need to build a science lab to create shit like that or wtf?

Any recommendations? Thanks a lot.

Dude, I know the exact feeling your feeling. When I first bought my DBV (great vaporizer to introduce you to vaping, cheap also) I felt as if my medicine was lacking that oomph. I often would vape a bowl, then combust a bowl.
It wasn't until I finally decided to say, Fuck Combustion, when my eyes opened.
It only took one week abstaining from combusting for me to feel this by the way. And I was combusting at least 4 times throughout the day.
But when you finally get to feel the full effect of vapor, it is mind blowing and you will never go back to combusting. Trust me man. I used to think vapes were a waste of money.... Boy was I wrong.

Oh I suggest a DBV, or, an lsv if you still have glass around that you still want to use.

The crafty seems to be a very good investment, but it has it's share of problems considering it was just released at the end of last year.

Here are all the vapes you should look Into.

Enano
DBV
Lsv if you like using glass
Lotus
Mighty, it's a major upgrade from the crafty IMO when it comes to portability. The only thing the crafty has going for itself is the smaller size. Other then that the mighty is a much much better investment.

Well now is a great time to buy considering the time of year #420SALESSSSS I'm relatively new(ok really new) to vaping so can't really be much help suggesting what to get. I know the Solo is well regarded but for portability I would think the Air makes more sense. I would maybe check out the different sites the most people here use to see the different deals going on and read/skim through the forums of products that catch your eye.

Plugins generally deliver vapor that is more dense than battery or lighter powered portables. If youre not averse to using a lighter, the Vapor Genie does a nice job, but it might not be as discreet as you want. Waxes and oils are concentrated versions of cannabis and availability depends on where you live. I'd suggest digging up your Volcano and selling it if you don't want it. They hold their value and selling it might finance your next purchase.

Definitely look into the Arizer Solo. It's a great little vape, and these days you can get them for under $150. Tasty vapor, small size, portable, efficient, big clouds if you want them... I have one and honestly I don't think I'll ever grow tired of it.

If you don't mind lighter-powered vapes, I agree that the VaporGenie does the job nicely and efficiently. And it's super cheap at $55. I also have one of these, it was the vape that started it all for me.

Check out the Vapman as well, it uses a torch lighter and can be had for as little as $85. Super portable and efficient as well. And there's plenty of people who will testify that the Vapman "hits like a mofo" (to use the words of a fellow FC'er ;))

These are just a few to look into, there's many more out there that you might find more suitable to your particular situation. Good luck!

My best advice would be to sell your volcano since your not using it, and get a mighty. The mighty is a portable, but has enough power to use as a daily driver. It is expensive, but quality ussually is, and the volcano sale should cover most of the mighty's cost.

If your still combusting, a mighty would save you money over time. I literally cut my consumption in half with the same level of medication. It will also be better for your lungs, and your kids won't be smelling burning weed anymore on you.

Other portables would work as well, but the mighty is the only one I would consider to be a daily driver. And let's face it, if you don't like your vape, you won't use it. Nothing wrong with a drawer full of vapes I guess, but you want something that will be ready when you are.

Dude, your singing my song. Been dying every morning and had to make a change. Sitting here with the mighty that arrive yesterday and having trouble typing. I think it works...

My advice, pack it like hell so you get some draw restriction and run it hot to start.

Cool! Wait til you try it with water. I have water adapters from @Ratchett matched with a cheap water piece from dhgate (fc-187). This takes fun times up another full notch, lol.

Check out the Aizer Solo or the Air. They are both made by the same company. The Solo has been in the
marketplace since 2011 and they just gave it an upgrade a little over a year ago.

The Air came out in November of 2014. Even though it's new to the market there has been very few faulty units, which is rare. Both units are easy to use and hook up to water tools if you desire. They both can be used while charging. The Air has replaceable rechargeable batteries that are good to have on the go.

I would suggest Puffitup, they have great customer service. Randy the owner will price match too.Ive have good cs with Planetvape too. They are both FC sponsors. You can find them at the bottom of this page.

Buying a vaporizer takes a lot of thought and research. Some portables don't hold up to heavy use. Since you are used to blazing, maybe buy one vape where you use a butane lighter and another vape than runs on a battery.

It always good to have more than one vaporizer so you don't go back to combustion once you kick the habit.

You've come to the right place if your serious about being combustion free. On FC there are a lot of helpful folks that will keep you on track if you run into any difficulties.

This will be an investment in your health as well as your wallet. You won't use as much herb.

By the way, welcome to Fuckcombustion.
