Why are Roger Goodell and Colin Powell telling me what freedom is. Donovan McNabb too.. this is crazy.

What station is the Super Bowl being broadcast on? That should answer your question.

That is a fairly long document full of references to the King that are just not going to register with most of the glassy eyed and slack jawed. Maybe they will Disney it up like the Constitution was before Congress....

Don't worry they dumbed it down and did a little synopsis after where they said freedom a lot.

football....therefore....military. :/ imagine if music concerts started with all that, or any other major event. when other countries indoctrinate military like that we typically view it as being despotic in nature...hmmm

anyhow, was a fun game to watch.

They've been doing this since 9/11. Why would this offend an American citizen? Sometimes its good to be reminded of where you came from and how you got here.

true, every time i hear about wars, terrorism, weapons and international peace treaties that are regularly ignored i am reminded of where i came from. [/sarcasm] i can have an opinion on an issue without being offended first off, however i know some cant listen to my opinion without being offended...reason i usually dont say much about this sort of thing.

football in particular has become a bit of a soap box for either commercialism or some agenda driven issue...always has had that to some degree but lately seems to have been accelerated. glad i got a "pause" and "view live tv" button, but with the increase i admit i lose interest more and more. most of the commercials are beyond what i want my kids seeing for example.

Naw Lo. It was a great game. I really thought the Steelers had a chance to come back. Unlike a lot of SuperBowls, this one was not a blow-out. Taken as a whole over the years, in most instances, the playoff games are better.

At least the socialist won! "The Packers are the only non-profit, community-owned franchise in American professional sports major leagues" from wikipedia

1. No they haven't. 2. Sometimes yes, before the super bowl no, and if you saw the Fox presentation you would object to how it was butchered as I assume since you want to be reminded where you came from and how you got there you would want all of the amendments read and a description of how they came to be.

id also like to be reminded about the native americans and where they went. but its a football game and its long enough as is with all the time outs and reviews.

They stated clearly before the game, that yes, they have been doing this before the Super Bowl since 9/11. ....and yes, it would be good to hear the actual Constitution.. amendments... bills currently before Congress... etc. etc. actually read over the air, the way they are written, and not just the slanted second hand interpretation of our congressmen and the media talking heads. Before a football game may not be the best time, but education is good. We need to stop taking other peoples words as fact with regard to what is actually in these documents, whichever side of the aisle you choose to identify yourself with.

i saw it as straight up propaganda. i've seen every super bowl but 2 since 1979 and never before did i feel like i was being propagandized to that extent. welcome to 2011 folks. that faux patriotic bullshit pissed me off for the rest of the day.

at this point the founding documents are being paraded in front of us in the manner an indian warrior parades around with a soldier's scalp. to taunt us with what could have been.

Yeah, I get the same feeling from this as I do when I come across people that wear their religion on their sleeves. George W. Bush did that as does Fox News.

Nothing wrong with being religious or patriotic. Just don't throw it up in my face.
