thanks man but thats not the problem. the problem is the ring on the basket giving more height to the stem so the stem won't insert fully. its just 1mm added to the height but thats enough so that the stem does not connect fully to the inner female glass insert of the splinter itself and it sits loose... tried to push it a bit more inside but i am worried to break the glass. maybe there is a trick i am missing?

Yeah as others said, variance in the baskets and the glass, so you can try different variety from different sources, better with rimless inside the stem though ideally if you can
