Doesn't Thomas Ehle put his name on everything they make?
I would suspect it's made by some laboratory outfitter, namely Schott,
since they call the glass Schott-Duran, and that's duran glass made by
Schott.
However it's great, but will be looking forward to the thick ass glass by ehle.
I ordered now a diffusor chillum 18.8 made by ehle for the Water Tool deBlub GTF V2, 12,5cm in length should be perfect.
I wonder why the ehle tower's chillum inner diameter is only 14.5?
Thinking about it, I suppose the small diameter doesn't really make sense, at least for dabbing!
Of course i'am aware of, that it shall prevent from losses by lesser surface area.
but that's not the equation... you should consider a ratio of glass and vapor density... for condensating vapor. and since the volume adds up in the 3. dimension, but surface area only in 2 dimensions... it should make sense to use the (bigger) 18.8mm. so there should in theory be less losses in the stem. and lesser internal resistance ain't a bad thing?
The
g-spot dabbing pipe also uses a very thick chillum, I guess that's why.
