Tek Rate my qwiso to ejuice process

After looking at a ton of recipes and youtube videos, I think I've come across a recipe/method I like. Can I get some comments to let me know if I'm on the right path?

1. Freeze 4g of bud and 99% ISO overnight
2. Pour ISO over bud until it's covered. Swirl around gently for 30 seconds, pour out into cup straining out plant material
3. Pour that into another cup through a unbleached coffee filter. Then winterize overnight and filter again.
4. Pour that into pyrex dish. Set on heating plate, low setting, until it all evaporates
5. Once it evaporates, use razor blade to scrape it up. Should get about 1g of concentrate
6. Put concentrate into something like a thick bottomed shot glass along with about 1ML of Holy Terp Pure mix.
7. Put it in a pot of water on low heat (right below boiling point of the water) for about 5 minutes, stiring it off an on so it mixes together
8. Using blunt tip needle, suck up mixture and put it into a cart.

Random questions:
1. Do I need to decarb the bud first?
2. I'm expecting to only get about 1 cart of juice from this recipe. Does that sound about right? I wasn't going to buy any storage containers if that's all I'm getting.
3. What's everyone's favorite cartridge at the moment? I have no experience with vape pens and what not so have no clue on what to get.
4. I'm a very light smoker and 4g of bud would last me several months normal vaping. Will the ejuice stay stable for a long time?
5. Is the Holy Terps Pure mix the best to get? Does it have any flavor to it?
6. Is the 1ML Holy Terps about the right amount? Looking to get about 3-5 puffs per session. Starting material is good quality bud

I would skip directly past QWISO and go straight to rosin. Squish some flowers with a hair straightener, add a few drops of terpenes, and fill your cart. You don't need to decarb as it will still activate the THC during the vaporization process. Holy Terp suggests .5mL for stable concentrates, I would start at .3mL and go from there. Also Holy Terp suggests under 120 degrees, just under boiling will be almost 100 degrees over that so you don't need too much heat for mixing.

Rosin would be quicker and easier. Is the yield the same compared to qwiso? Is there one hair straightener that is the best for this method? Any good links or videos I could check out?

Stay away from HolyTerp or other industrial bulk terpenes. Yes you can liquify/ thin down your extract but the taste is horrible and the feeling on the lung is even worth. This stuff is dangerous. They just have fake reviews on their site - my one star review never went online. It's a total rip off. Stay away from those company's selling overpriced poison to innocent customers.

I’ve been experimenting with a few methods to achieve a vape cart with a decent potency with mixed results. Bought a rosin press and have been squishing buds (gorilla glue and lemon haze) and mixing heated rosin with straight terps for some and a wax liquidiser for others. Using .5ml ccell carts made up of .3g of rosin with the balance either terps or terp infused liquidiser. No matter what combination I try I cannot get the potency to where it needs to be. High is mild and short lived. When I increase rosin % in the cart it take higher temp to vape and full cart gets burned off in no time with only mild high to show for it.
Was advised to try with shatter as base ingredient through the QWISO method and was heading out today to buy 99.9% ISO. Was hoping this would solve my problems but maybe not. Any ideas why my rosin based carts aren’t up to scratch?

Are you decarbing the rosin or only heating it enough to mix in terpenes?
If it's not decarbed yet you might try that, most pens use oils where the THC is already activated. I know I said otherwise in the post you quoted, but I've learned quite a bit more about oil pens in the last 2 years!

I'd also suggest pressing kief or hash if you can instead of flower. Great hash rosin is the key to the best rosin carts I've seen. You might try ethanol or isopropyl if you have access. Ultimately making great pens with simple home tek is still a challenge.

Pressing flower and winterizing it would remove some of the full spectrum components, but it should vape better in a pen. It might still need decarbing and/or terpenes added though.

Have you managed to make a decent quality vape oil from rosin? I’ve been working on a trial/error basis but it’s starting to get expensive. As I said I’m considering trying to make a quick wash shatter and then to dilute that slightly with some terps so inject in a cart.Any process advice would be much appreciated

Another option is to use a pen designed for wax. Then you don't have to thin out your rosin.

You mean a [coil] pen like the Terp Pen from Boundless? Or, are there cartridges that will actually take rosin without diluting? Someone needs to invent a cart for straight rosin.

I don't know the terp pen. But probably. I was thinking of the divine tribes and the saionara. But most pen vapes (and mod powered vapes) that don't use cartridges should work with rosin.

not sure if this is still relevant, but I have found QWISO to make nice vape carts, I use 25 grams of broken up buds, and do QWISO wash of frozen material for 10 secs then filter ( I have a little machine that does it all automatically ) I only do one wash for the first run, and I get about 4 grams of great golden oil, mix in a 4% terpene mix after a decarb ( also done in my little machine, 125c for 30mins) the reason for the decarb before loading into the carts is I had noticed if I don't decarb then I believe a small chemical reaction occurs in side the cart when you start to vape, when the THCa breaks down to THC, and this release Co2 I have been told, and my carts where starting to clog up. After I started to decarb the oil, this stopped happening and I also noticed that the oil was a little thinner and would run better.
