Elon Musk sounds and looks exactly how I sounded and looked (facial expression) when I was on the ketamine. I know he is a mute point now in this but still how can someone like this have been allowed to do so much???
Like I had all these crazy no sense ideas and wanted to act them out back when I was on ketamine and am almost certain that all Musk's nonsense is because of the ketamine.
Now dont get me wrong I have a good bit of respect for him for a lot of what he is involved in but all this recent stuff has put me right off the guy.
He says the ketamine is to treat depression but this is just because it makes you feel fucking great like cocaine does but much more chilled and you do not act all like a champ. It makes you feel wonderful and that is why he likes taking it.
The guys delusional and that is what ketamine makes you feel like all dreamy and not real.
Why do you have respect for him? What has he ever done to deserve that?
He bought his way into PayPal and Tesla.
He asked Twitter engineers to email him their best code and is too stupid to know about Github.
He dismantled the federal government and--obviously--came no where near his goals for cuts.
He facilitated the transfer of information from both the White House and Pentagon to Russia via Starlink.
He cancelled contracts in order to have federal contract money redirected to SpaceX as blatant corruption.
He was hands-off for designing Tesla models besides the Cybertruck which has regular recalls and is such a piece of shit that there is no resale market.
He abandoned his child and claims that she is dead because she's trans even though he's had way more gender-affirming care than she has.
He thinks Jews rule the banks and is a proponent of the Great Replacement, a known white supremacist conspiracy theory.
He killed thousands already thanks to USAID cuts and will have the blood of millions on his hands soon enough.
He called the Thai rescue guy a pedophile because that guy dared to say that Elon's idiotic submarine idea wouldn't have worked.
He wants to father thousands of children because he believes he is genetically superior.
He cozies favor with neo-Nazi parties and monarchists and fascists of all stripes.
Elon Musk is and always has been an unrepentant piece of shit. He's a neo-fascist con artist and a damn good salesman who is treated like the second coming by idiotic tech bros that are destroying our country. He was born so rich that his Apartheid daddy couldn't close the safe cuz there was too much money in it, and somehow convinced people that he is self-made. He's a solid argument for the most destructive human being alive right now and his direct actions will cause more human death and suffering than the vast majority of the greatest evils in history. And he would kill you in a heartbeat if he thought it would make him a single dollar.
Also
@Grass Yes thanks for banning the transphobe. I really would like some of these idiotic fascist fucks to say things to my face. Keyboard warriors, I'm in Philly. We can have a chat in my neighborhood. The war is starting soon, and you are waaaay too confident that you are the only ones with guns and grit, so come say it to my face and see how that goes.
This was pretty much off topic for the tariff thread so I'll answer here :
I am a farm worker. Organic extensive practice. All the farmers I know work like crazy. No exception. Even the most innovative and extensive. And all the extensive organic farms in my area only feed a very small portion of the population.
Do you actually know how much work it is to kill, cut and dress a steer ? To smoke it ? Do you know all the process involved in cheese making and how time consuming it is ?
Meat and fish, as well as cheese, are part of a sustainable agriculture in a lot of places that are not hot enough (yet) to grow things during winter. (I'm living in the mountains and livestock farming also allows to make use of the steep and rocky lands that you cannot use to grow vegetables).
I mean... producing cheese exclusively locally and extensively would ask for quite a few people waking at dawn for milking, working in the lab to actually make the cheese during the day and others people to milk at night. And yes if you want a cow to produce enough milk in order to produce cheese, you have to take his calf and turn it into meat otherwise he'll drink it all. (And you'll need his stomach to curdle the milk anyway). Extra work to kill, cut and dress the calf... you'll need to cook some part of it as well if you want to preserve most of it. Etc...
Sure if you're living in pre-Colombian America you'll grow the three sisters and you could probably flood your land to water everything easily. And I think pre Colombian America was really a thriving land. A lot more thriving than Europe was at the same time. But mankind is all over the planet earth and not all places are equally cultivable.
This is incredible!! I'll admit I'm severely biased because I pretty exclusively research local practices here in Philadelphia, and we've got alluvian soil coming out our ears and a ridiculous climate for growing.
Meat is something that will probably have to be reserved for special occasions. I am not currently familiar with any decent means of harvesting large quantities of meat without either 1. creating massive amounts of carbon or 2. destroying local fauna populations. I am looking into growing some beans to get some additional protein, but you are right in that meat production at scale like we've been doing is probably not sustainable in large parts of the world.
I think the real thing to remember here is that we as humans are going to have to do lots of hard work to adapt as we exit this long-stable climate period, and things like meats and cheeses that we've been eating for millennia may work their way out of our diets and be replaced by things that work sustainably. Diets will probably start adjusting back to more localized ones: as an example, I don't anticipate the US Northeast to have nearly as many options for tropical fruits like mangoes and bananas in the next several decades because it isn't efficient for us to grow them here or to transport them from where they're grown. Indigenous food staples will make a comeback in some places, and lots of new staples will be developed as we transition to locally-grown produce for the majority of the produce consumed in a given place. The alternative--keeping the global agriculture and shipping industries going as they are--isn't really much of a possibility since we will likely see massive monocrop agriculture die-offs in many parts of the world, and entire countries will otherwise starve.
You're also completely right in that many parts of the world aren't nearly as fertile as pre-Columbian America. Europe in particular is facing a pretty dire agricultural outlook in most climate projections, and I don't have an answer to that. I know the answer is not continuing on as-is, but I am not there, and you very much don't need me to solve your problems with my limited information and nonexistent stake. The climate crisis is going to be a reckoning unlike anything our species has faced, and there is a very real chance that there will be famines in Europe. Hopefully Ukraine stays a part of Europe culturally so they can continue trading food regionally--if Putin gets it, the famine in Europe will likely be far worse.
Thank you for sharing some of the techniques you use and for doing the amazing work now that is needed to transition the planet to a more sustainable future!!
