Thank you, @cloudsosmoke for the link and tribute, and the reminder that the fight continues, and we must continue to be heard. Thank you @macbill, for the reminder of the anniversary of this tragic event.

Here's a few random thoughts...

Kansas City Misery sucks ass...but it's still better than any place in fucking Kansas! (props to Lawrence, a college town, for having a couple nice hideaway spots)

&

There's no shortage of shitty tattoos in the Midwest! :lol:Here's a thought, if your gonna cover your whole body in ink, you might wanna seek out an artist who can do it right instead of the lowest price! DOIH!

&

A lot of (younger ?) people around here eat up hot dawg water distillate w/ non-cannabis derived terpenes like it's the 2nd coming! "$60 for one g of distillate ? No deals on a bulk purchase ? Sure, I'll take 5 grams"!

Born in Lawrence, one of my first memories is of attending KU Jayhawks basketball games and this beautiful college student who had the seat in front of mine. Dating myself a bit with this it: she had a massive Afro that she would colour red, blue & yellow for big opponents and was so sweet to me that of course I gave her my four-year old heart. But yeah, Kansas and Missouri mostly suck ass. At least you were in a city, coulda been down south in the Ozarks - now that’s scary Deliverance country.

Evil Jayhawker! :p  Your a long way from KS now.
Sounds like you moved before legal drinking age ? If so you woulda loved the Outhouse (the music club, not the BYOB strip barn out in the cornfield ) & the Bottleneck! (I saw that long hair w/ that kewl 710 coils tee) The Love Garden was also one of the coolest, hippiest :spliff: record stores around.

The Ozarks are really beautiful if you know where to go, but don't compare to the ruggedness & beauty of the Arkansas Ozarks IMO.

Yeah @Morty I did my teens in Texas, which was drinking age back then! I have been back once to Lawrence and experienced the good vibes & truly happening music scene.

Gotta agree with ya on the Ozarks and Arkansas too. A part of my wife’s were hillbillies in what became Mark Twain National Forest, anyway she still had a great aunt in Mo and we loved to stay and play in Arkansas on our way to visit. We always took our dogs and later, kids and had lots of fun. I think that drive is one of the best US road trips simply because of the beauty outside your window. Hadn’t thought about that in ages, I’d love to make it back one of our stateside visits.

Okay, here’s my random thought and really more of a news bulletin from our little village, where lately we’ve been under attack from cute but despicable otters. There’s a lovely little river just south of us and the little buggers are sneaking into the village in the dead of night and are systematically going from garden to garden and raiding the fish from those that have garden ponds, streams and water displays. This shockingly brazen behaviour has been observed and documented but beyond that, seemingly nothing can be done. These are truly troubling times and I fear they’ll go on to teach the swans, geese and ducks. Where does the madness end?!

9 days since my 'beloved/everything' passed away, I'm still in a state of flux...

my higher self; acknowledges that they have gone on the 'continuation' to the next stage, so to speak,;)
meanwhile, my lower self, is absolutely gutted...

My random thought today is; 'cherish your loved ones, (I really mean that)', because when they've gone, they're gone... And although you may be left with a lifetime of memories, (if you're anything like me) you'd trade them, all for 10 more minutes with them...:\

Pure Peace :leaf:
