This is hopefully going to be a quick simple post, we will see.
Here is a quick recipe I tried yesterday that was basically referenced from a recipe on Grass City.
Here is what I did, then I'll explain the effects.
#1) Measured 1 gram ABV (medium brown)
#2) "ground" it up in the bottom of a very small, bake-able dish, "les crouset" was the name, apparently its a high quality kitchen cookware company. I say ground because I made it finer simply by grinding different blunt ends of utensils into it in a circular motion until it was fairly fine.
#3) added 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
#4) covered with tinfoil
#5) baked at 250 for 25 minutes.
#6) strained oil out and put in container for later
I drank the oil (ew) and two hours later felt the effects coming on. I was very happy because my other two attempts at cooking with ABV didn't work, they both involved cooking ABV in milk for a period of time. The problem is, people who make edibles are never patient enough to wait and see the effects, they almost always smoke or vape too soon. Having school the next day after about 2.5 hours from ingestion and with fairly prominent effects, I decided to vape.
Now one of two interesting things happened. I vaped a bowl or two of normal quality weed, nothing too amazing. Sometime after this - several hours - I became very uncomfortably high, and was basically hallucinating, it was very very scary, but i reminded myself to surrender to the flow and ate my way through the bad trip. All in all im glad my recipe worked, the fact that I got off from 1 gram makes me happy and I plan to alter the recipe to make it more palatable and manageable.
The real experiment comes when I eat what was left over of the strained ABV remains, which I put on a cracker with peanut butter. Ill be interested to see if I extracted ALL the goodies into the oil, or whether eating the actual ABV will get me off a second time.
Sorry for the haste of this post - but I wanted to put this on here because it seems like so many people wan't to try cooking but they are inherently skeptical because edibles don't work a lot of the time for many people. This is a recipe that I am fairly certain should work for everyone so long as they follow the instructions, which are painfully simple.
Please report your findings if you try this and if you can think of any alterations I'd love to hear them!
Thanks for reading
