Quick charging 18650

I'm looking for a battery charger that uses USB-C input and will charge two 18650 cells at 2+ amps/ea.

I bought an Xtar VC2SL and it only charge at .5amp which takes over 24hrs to charge two cells.

Any suggestions? I think i searched around pretty good before posting.

love mine, will buy another, cheap too
I think it's 2.+ amps single, 1a double. p.s. it finishes off a .5a but still only takes an hour or 2 depending on depletion., good price on the Molicel batts too

That charger will charge TWO batteries at 1-Amp/each.

That's what the box said but i really think it's only doing .5. Is faster charging in the TM2 than in this charger.

Is USBc the restriction? Would a week plug do better? That would be way less portable though

that one is micro usb (unless the one I found is older), the one I posted above is usbc which allows more power I believe

The Xtar charger needs more than 2 amps input (USB-C) to charge 1 cell @2A or 2 cells @1A
Perhaps your wall charger is not up to providing 5V @2.1A or your USB-C cable is defective/damaged.
If so, time to upgrade.

Cheers

As @Izan mentioned in the post above, you need a high power USB adapter, what is the AMP OUTPUT on the one you are using? I don’t own that particular charger, though I’ve recommended it to others as Amazon had it bundled with a high output USB charger at the time. I would also ASSUME, you should be able to see the actual charge rate when charging, no? Try a 2.1 amp iPad USB charger if you have one. CHEAP USB cables can also LIMIT the charger current as well, but many overlook just how important a QUALITY USB cable can be!

The TM2, which I do own, can allow close to a 2 AMP charge inside the body, though it can get a bit warm (in my OG TM, the unit got too hot). For safety sake, I charge on an external charger, as the open air charger bays keeps the batteries cooler.

I recommend everyone buy an inexpensive USB POWER METER, (see link below). Then you will know exactly how many amps are being delivered, as well as measuring how many mAh’s the battery is capable of holding.

I own the VC2SL and I believe it charges my P28As at 1A per battery.

How long does it take to charge cells that are both at around 30%?
Unfortunately I typically don't pay attention any longer. I just plug them in a come back whenever. I will try to get an idea next time, if I remember.

I charged two P28As in my VC2SL that were at "purple" level in my TM2, so maybe at 30% ish or so...? It took between 60 and 75 minutes to charge fully. 1A per cell. I'm not exactly sure because I forgot to check for awhile. Sorry, closest I could get. Hope this helps.

Oh, and I believe my USB adapter is 3A BTW.

I agree with the others that are saying the wall charger itself can be the problem.

For example, I have this charger:
https://www.subtel.co.uk/CELLONIC-U...-LifePo4-Batteries-with-4-Chargin-924665.html
And it charges single at 2A and two at 1A each, but only with one of my wall chargers. With the other ones I also get 0.5A. So check yours, might be that you only need to buy a new wall adapter

My new Liitokala S8 charger measures the internal resistance of the batteries and charges accordingly
If the resistance is below 50mohms it charges at 1Amp, 50 - 100 it charges at .7, and batteries over 100mohms get charged a .5Amp by default
I wonder if yours is the same, and you need to override what the charger has detected and selected if you want to force it to go quicker

For faster 18650 charging with a USB-C input, consider the Nitecore UCN2 Pro or Xtar SC2. Both support 2A per cell charging. Double-check compatibility with your specific 18650 cells and safety precautions when charging at higher currents. Money plays an important role in our daily lives, and money transfers are considerably easier now than they were a few years ago. Previously, coins and banknotes were used, followed by cards, and now electronic services such as PayPal. I enjoy playing games, and sometimes transferring money to the casino app is difficult, so I read a review on this https://casinosanalyzer.ca/online-casinos/paypal website. It varies from other payment options, and we will study this. Online Casino for Real Money In Canada, utilizing PayPal to pay for games is a simple option. Thanks for the advice, $20.54 is a good deal. Now, I can easily check my USB charger. I appreciate you for helping me out.
