ok let's be more specific about exactly what we are measuring. I measured at the cutout by taking a wooden chopstick, putting it in the housing and precisely marking it, and then measuring from the marks to the end of the chopstick with a caliper. I'm seeing 11.8mm from the bottom of the housing to the edge of the coil cutout, and 16.4mm from the bottom to the edge of the "cup". it's 14.0mm measuring from the step up to the edge of the cup. outer diameter of my coil is 26.4mm and coil depth is 16.3mm
Thank you. I can confirm these numbers on my unit. Can you confirm that the cutout is ~10.5mm wide and ~5mm deep and that the raised bed is located adjacent to the left side of the cutout.

My post was deleted and I owe the staffs an apology. I was only expanding on what @Shadooz previously said, and responding to a post at the same time. I don't always agree with @Shadooz but in this case, kudos to him for figuring it out. I wouldn't be able to connect the dots if not for him. Feel free to PM me if necessary

I've got a Qaroma coil with an adapter for Auber CH PIN configuration coming my way. Happy to swap you one for a CH coil. No biggie either way for me. Let's get you sorted.
Thank you for the kind offer but I need to hold on to my CH equipment because I use it every day. I bought the Q on impulse because I love glass, I will stumble upon a coil that works eventually or just sell it. I hate conflict and the tone this conversation has taken, this is supposed to be fun and informative but I am sure not having fun.

Just ordered a b grade ceroma. I didn't really look into it much, but shouldn't the flowerpot coil fit for these as well?
ceroma does not have the step in the bottom like the qaroma and taroma so any 20mm 5 wrap coil will work regardless of the coil wrap direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise) the taroma and qaroma require clockwise wrap coil only.

Hey guys... Haven't been here in a while due to family issues, but just wanted to pop in and say how I've been liking/disliking my Taroma.

I've had it for a little bit now, and he sent a Ceroma with it as well like most people. Initially it was a little hard to get vapor with the big bowls, and I'd have to go all the way up to like 750F for easy vapor. I raised the screens in the stock bowls to above the little "mark" halfway, and it worked 100x better immediately. Because of that, I ended up buying the Grav octo bowl and use that now. I use it on 650ish, and it roasts it pretty damn near black. It absolutely CRANKS for anyone still wondering. This thing packs a massive punch for almost no effort.

Pros
- Huge power. Milks my bongs harder and faster than anything I've owned

- Consistent. This was the main reason I got the Taroma (was going to get a FP for this reason), because I just wanted consistency. My Tinymight is inconsistent at times, my Alpha can be hit or miss, but the Taroma so far since I moved the bowl has been non stop clouds.

- MUCH safer than I expected. I never bothered with a FP over the years because I have kids, but it's really safe. Based on pictures of the FP stand, I actually like the Taroma stand much better. The slots for the handle are physically too small for the head to get out of it, so you'd have to pick it up and actually lift it out of the stand for it to come out. Makes any mistakes much less likely.

- Super high quality materials. They just feel really "well" made. The Ceroma I have has a few dings and the coil fits a little loose, but it's free -- No complaints here. It also works really well.

- Has enough power to be hit back to back to back to back. My wife and I take turns hitting, and of course I give her the first fresh hits, but there's still nice fat hits left for me each time.

- Price was really fair, especially if you don't include the shipping.

- Customer service response time was very fast. Idk why I always jump on the new release band wagon, but I've fucked myself many times on that, especially with the Tiny Might. Thankfully this one was perfect, and even when I had questions the maker responded fast and respectful.

- Looks beautiful. The electronic controller is solid and well made, the heads are solid, everything is solid and high quality. The Taroma changes colors due to the anodizing from just being used. Looks awesome honestly.

Cons
- The handles are definitely too long, and the way they "fit" on isn't the best imo. This isn't a huge issue, but I would have liked a sturdier handle.

- Blasts through weed. This is an obvious and not really a con, but it's just so powerful that efficiency really isn't the selling point.

- The bowls should be much closer to the heating element. Again this is such a small issue that you can solve on your own, but I really love the quality from the Qaroma shop so I would have preferred one of their bowls instead of going elsewhere or sitting a screen up top.

That's all the cons I could really scrape up to be honest. My wife and I are loving the Taroma. I won't say anyone else's complaints aren't valid, just wanted to post my personal experience if it were to help anyone else. Feel free to ask me some questions and I'll try to answer them for yall. Happy New Years.

I dont know what was the drama with the wholesale denial due to low stocks, but it looks like they have no problem selling to a UK vendor,lol..
Anyway not here to stir the drama, but if anyone is interested.

I would speculate that demand in the UK is significantly lower than in the US for these devices and due to our odd plug system and 240v PID's can be funny, which would lead to them partnering with a UK company to provide the electronic parts, only a guess mind but if you look at the rec vapes page they are definitely not using Q controllers

My Qaroma arrived after I ordered it just before Christmas, I believe I ended up with the last one from that batch and also got a Ceroma and few additional freebies, which super nice of them.

I used my old CH coil (still in use) and it fitted fine into the Qaroma body with only a slight adjustment to where it starts to bend to form the coil. It’s snug in there but not tight.

I use my Flowerpot around 575 but had to bump up to 725-750 only because of the tall bowl, I hope the shorter bowls will be available soon, for me that will make a big difference in the use of this vape; 3mm rubies, nice open airflow, great flavour, in my view it's a great desktop which will only get better with the shorter bowls.

Just use a screen to place the load closer to the heater. Makes a big difference. Cloud city at 630 *F on my CH coil/PID
I really struggled to get a screen to stay in position but will keep trying with what I got here, can't seem to get anything to fit in and stay level. What screen are you using

I'm using a 3/4 inch steel mesh screen with mine, I had to bend it and fold into a slight concave shape so it would sit in the bowl, but it does sit a bit above the honeycomb, unfortunately it does also move around during stirring unfortunately often... If you go with a larger size, you may be able to bend it fully around so it is flat with a wall, like a reverse dome but flat, so then you can put it in securely and have your bowl be higher up?

Thanks for the info, really appreciate that, I'll see what else I have here that could work but I think I'll order up those short bowls when they become available, I think the Qaroma will really shine for me on lower temps but closer to the heat mass, gotta say I really do like this vape, I dig the porcelain cup that comes with it too......and I completely forgot about the free Ceroma till just now typing this haha it's great to be able to try that out soon too, perhaps tomorrow with a more objective head on.

Yeah you could also try the elev8r bowl now if you want, I think the one with the glass honeycomb screen makes the bowl too high in fact, but the other one that just has the steel mesh screen should work well for you although the edges don't get extracted as well with the shape so it requires stirring... Cloud Connoisseur is also going to have a new chalice bowl soon though I don't think it will have the bowl closer than the Qaroma bowls? There is a thread in the glass section, for these style of injector bowls, if you want to look up more of them! Toasty-Top has too

What bowls have you guys found yourselves preferring? The stock bowls were way too deep for me, so I originally was pushing the screen in up to til it was just above the midway mark. The screen was very easy to push out, so loading and deloading it would move sometimes. Ended up getting a Grav octobowl, and while nice, im not a big fan of it. I find myself going back to the Qaroma bowls with the higher screen.

How is the elev8r bowl?

Someone also recommended that, although you can't leave the head seated so you have to hold it.

I wish I could be more helpful with the screen. After 12+ years of buying vapes I have so many screens and I could never guess where they all came from. I use a particularly stiff steel screen that takes some effort to push into place and holds pretty firm even with stirring. I install using a chopstick coming up from the bottom for support and my finger pushing down from the top. I go for a concave bowl shape, which is much easier to achieve than flat and focuses the load toward the center. This would be much trickier using a bowl with a glass screen. I am currently just using a random 18mm —> 14mm reducer for the bowl

I would appreciate the opportunity to buy more of these tougher screens that stay put in an 18mm joint. I’ll look around, probably place a few orders and report any results of my search

Feel like I’m winnin’ when I’m losin’ again
I think someone on the 420VZ discord was seeing success using mighty glass reducers as spacers to place under a screen. This helped elevate the load closer to the injector. I’ve got a Grav Octobowl coming to see if I can get some lower temp up close to work.

Anyone tried an herborizer bowl ?

Its three notch are the only ones that keep my two mesh (one coarse and one really tight for kief and well placed resistance). I can brush them and they don't move at each reload..

I prefer length for true convection (less roast, way more even Maillard..)
But herborizer go deep in its bowl, fear the smaller injector length of the ceroma will have to put it at higher temps..

I can't afford compulsive VAS, i have to wait feedbacks..
