Also just found out the elev8r flavor disc for extracts works pretty good with the ceroma as well. The heating element will sit right on top of the flavor disc and the extract should be put in the very middle of it disc, so that it will be in the middle of the heating element and not touching it. The first hit is usually ok but weaker bc of the whole thing heating up, but this method works pretty good. Not the most massive hits but thats fine for me with extracts.

I hear you, I would like to try the short bowl but it doesn't look all that short in the pictures, does anyone know the height above the screen? Looks very similar to the Elev8 bowl that I already have.

Shipping costs have held me back. I hope he finds a cheaper alternative but I assume he already did his research.

@cvs8floz Qaromashop mentioned on his discord that the distance between opening and screen is about 31mm, pretty much identical to the elev8r bowl - but with a handle.

Anyway ordered myself the Taroma V2 and a bunch of short bowls, will fill it up with 4mm gem cut cz (already in use in my ceroma) and try to find the lowest temp that still gives me the results I'm looking for :science:

I just measured the tall bowl and it comes in at 40mm, I wish they had gone to 20-25mm with the short bowl, 31mm is still too tall for good results and most of us already have the Elev8 bowl. Still struggling to find a good setup for the Qaroma which looked so promising at first being all glass, I learned my lesson not to buy a beta product on impulse again!

Definitely feel this. Like others the release of the 2.0 so close to the original as a whole new purchase is tough to swallow. Has anyone found coils that work that do not involve the long and expensive shipping? My ch coils do not fit my taroma.

I am in the same boat, I found one on DHGate that looked promising and I actually received it in about 3 weeks but it is also too big. It would cost about $US200 to order their coil, PID and short bowl which isn't short, just doesn't make sense.

It is tough. I try to support as many of the start ups here as I can. This one was really cool but the pragmatics of maintaining a proprietary ecosystem around a unit like this are hard without returns and reliable shipping. The risk and expense of getting parts, the customs delays, and the rigidity around no returns makes it harder to keep throwing money at this unit when there are so many other similar style vapes like the Flowerpot/Herborizer/Atlas that are almost identical in performance, and have accessible and consistent parts and shipping at a reasonable price.

Qaromashop throws in free stuff for the shipping cost though, pretty much everyone above 600 RM ends up with atleast a b-grade ceroma head and a few handles/coasters extra.
so I was never turned off, I actually only ordered everything besides one of the heads because I knew coil/pid/balls/stand would add up to like 800 on its own and a b-grade ceroma with a few scratches would work the same as any a-grade anyway.

Yeah man. Ngl, the 2.0 already being released definitely makes me a little annoyed. Kinda wish I went with the Anvil instead, considering any fine tuning to the first release is even going to be free. Imo these short bowls should have been included at sale, so the early purchasers really should have gotten them at a discount or something. Same with the 2.0.

I'd consider making another order with short bowls, the 2.0, screens, more rubies, and probably other stuff if it was discounted out of respect for us buying that early. But I can't make another 300$ order just to get base accessories that honestly should have came with it. At that point I'm like 750-800$ deep on this thing, and it's not worth THAT much

I am also confused by the new XL bowl they now list online for RM230, this seems different from the new short bowl:

These are XL versions of our adapter bowls. To be used only with Qaroma XL & Taroma XL
Available in 29mm female and 18mm male standard laboratory glass size only. Price is for 1pc. No warranties or returns

What are Qaroma XL & Taroma XL, they are not listed on website. Are they larger versions of the current Qaroma and Taroma that require yet another bowl? This is a bit crazy if you ask me.

yes new XL heads are coming the bowls are just listed now because they came to him first. the new heads use a 30mm coil which is also currently listed because he has them in stock. there is much more info on the Qaromashop discord and the maker is on there daily with updates.

I think the excess shipping charges from buying 5-10 mods at a time from Sourcemore/Vapesourcing/HealthCabin made me immune to high shipping costs because I ordered both 14mm and 18mm titanium bowls (I bought to use with other vapes) + TNT shipping for like $150 and my brain was just like "that's cool, nbd" lol 😑. International shipping is what it is from certain countries.

Still, I haven't bought a Qaroma kit yet because of how quickly he's revisioning them right now, plus the XL is a few weeks away. If I'm going to do one big ass order that has a potential risk of customs fees or whatever, then I'd rather have it be for the XLs then the current lineup. But even then XL 2.0 could be here by July at this rate, so I might just keep on keepin on and see what happens.

Exactly, I’m doin the same I’ll wait to see how the Heady Atlas iterates over the next few months too(couldn’t resist the halo tho)

Pretty sure I was referring to not just you but everyone else as well bud. I'm sure most of the people on this forum have the funds for the hobby. Doesn't always mean it's worth it. Especially since that's subjective.
