i dont use mine that often. But when I do, I normally just throw the PD in it 10 minutes or so before I want too use it. see no need too let it sit in the koozie 24/7... just when I want too use it
That is a real good idea, I left mine on for a few hours and it the wood became very hot and very dry (almost to the point of splintering). It scared me real bad, so before putting the koozie on just buzz butter it a bit so it doesn't dry out.DevoTheStrange said:i dont use mine that often. It's funny eveytime someone posted a pic of the PD/Bong combo I always thought it kinda looked like a wooden VRIP hitting a bong. Then when I got my set up, I really thought that.NoSmoke said:...I was amazed at the difference and how I was able to milk my Vrip Pro Water Tool like it were the Heat Wand, it was awesome!
Right, that's my feeling exactly. Fine the way it is - I hardly mess with the silicone tubing as well.DevoTheStrange said:yeah I dont use mine as often as I used too. The only difference I notice is one too maybe two more extra hits. But the unit does get too hot too hold outside of the koozie for my tastes. I think in the long run a koozie might cause too much stress on the wood.
i pretty much just use my PD as is. i've messed around with all the various ways too heat up the PD... and IMO... the PD is just fine the way it is. heating it up makes the hits much more harsh than I prefer.
I got other vapes for running my herb hotter than the PD....
I dont have silicone tubing, only the vinyl stuff... makes it taste funny. This is what I came up with.. simple, works great...NoSmoke said:I think I may of stumbled accross something pretty cool Don't know if its been mentioned here before but I took a piece of silicone tubing and added that to the end of the stem before PD Bonging, it still fit perfect into my 14mm Gong and allowed way better airflow for the milkiest PD hits I've ever gotten, I was amazed at the difference and how I was able to milk my Vrip Pro Water Tool like it were the Heat Wand, it was awesome!
It's not harsh at all.. I just dont have a single chamber big enough to satisfy my needs, that's all. Idc about any lost vapors either.Hennessy1414 said:2 chambers? are you kidding? Is it really that harsh?
try this, take out the diffuser, fill the water to just below the GONG joint and only let the tree perc bubble.
enjoy
I tend to turn the tube between hits but I have never noticed the PD browning one side of the bowl more than the other. I mean, really, we are talking about a pinch of dust. I suppose if you were really having an issue you could tap it out and reload the same batch between hits to help cook more evenly but I don't think it is necessary, at least not with regular brick weed. Maybe with the high grade stuff it might do you some benefit. I only tend to turn the tube when I do it straight. If I load the tube in my EHLE then I don't turn it.masejl12 said:Just out of curiosity, for those who use the pd with gong attachments, do you use a different technique like rotating the bowl/stem? I've noticed that my pd will brown one side of the bowl more than the other.
just did this and remembered your post. Made me smile after I stopped saying OwowOw hot.Qbit said:PS One tip:
When lying on back or slouching without top on while vaping stem, do not withdraw PD from mouth before first ensuring that stem has not adhered to lip, as this will cause stem to disengage from PD, and hot bit of stem to land on bare naked flesh, resulting in short-term minor pain and medium term skin-markings.
Consider, however, the possibilities for body art.
Flushed down the toilet I hope?Chubba said:All my AVB is binned
i would change it, iso is dirt cheap, and also it cleans better when its fresh. plus you cant forget the tastey hashoil that you will get when you evap it off.Happycamper said:I was wondering, how dark do people let the iso juice (from cleanng the stems and grinder etc) get before evaporating it off? Mine is quite brown, should it be dark brown?
