Puffco Proxy

Hey hey proxy crew. Desert proxy owner here. I've been toying with buying the Wizard pipe ever since I saw the commercial they did where they grew the beards. Basically for the novelty factor. Dumb? I use mostly at home, no other dab rigs and the only other proxy accessory I have is the travel kit, which is still in the box.

I really wanted that thing when I had a Proxy. It's def not dumb or novelty, it will give you a cooler smoother vape with the extra surface area. I really wish I tried it before I moved on.

Puffco hot knife is another I've been toying with too.

This completely changed the game for me and plenty of others, but a lot of my dabs are quite terpy/syrupy so perhaps wouldn't make as much of a difference for some other consistencies.

Puffco hot knife is another I've been toying with too. Been using the kit as is out of the box so far with no issue. I'm a less than a grain of rice guy.

I had the Wizard, I think it’s mostly a novelty. I guess it adds a little bit of cooling but after a while I just went back to the stock pipe because the difference wasn’t that significant and the stock is just easier to deal with. I like being able to throw it back into the case when done.

Hot knife is essential for me. Especially if you’re dabbing some fresh press rosin, it makes things so much easier to deal with.

The other accessory I find pretty essential is the joystick. Works much better than the stock oculus IMO.

Some nice colours here, under US$40 seems pretty fair but you can probably find them cheaper if you try?

Hi team proxy

Despite having owned it for a while now, I feel like I am still in the honeymoon stage with my proxy; using it more and more frequently recently and dialing in the size of concentrate I like (spoiler, it's still small). I do still need to experiment with some other concentrates & flavours. I've been sticking to an orange live hash rosin but am looking to try something new (any suggestions?)

I am curious about the need for a replacement chamber. Mine is stock, works and looks like new. I do g-tip it clean after each session. I noticed the stock case has a spot dedicated to carrying another chamber. Do you all have more than one chamber? What is the need for a second one? Is it like having a spare tire; the party keeps going if your chamber shits the bed and you have a spare? What is the expected lifespan of a chamber with normal use and cleaning? Looks like a replacement chamber is ~ $90 CAD. Until noticing the spot for a spare in the case, it had not dawned on me to consider picking up a spare and I'm still not sure I should bother prioritizing buying a spare one.

I bought my proxy in November, by mid Feb and only about 3g of dabs I had killed the chamber. It honestly put me off using the proxy due to the cost of upkeep. Back to a coiled banger for the most part for me. I don't know if this is normal or not...

I just got into concentrates over the last year and use a dynavap. I've been contemplating the proxy for a while now. What do you mean by "killed the chamber"?

I have 2 Proxy chambers I've been using for over a year. They're both still going strong. Maybe I've just been extremely lucky. Totally agree that the atomizer replacement cost for Puffco products are too high.

Had mine for ~ 1.5 years now and still like new. I really abused it for the first six months but now 1-2 sessions a week with it. Still holds charge and chamber is clean. Not a popular opinion but I like the proxy much more then my pro with xl chamber

I mean it stopped heating.

Regular cleaning with an ultrasonic. I haven't used the ultrasonic on the new chamber in case that had something to do with it, but I'm just loathed to use it in case it dies again.

It's very reassuring to hear others haven't had similar issues

Still rocking my single silicone lip release proxy from June 2022[dont have any popping out issues, even on 3rd party glass]. only ever clean the atomizer with ISO soaks, sees about 2g a month and going strong.

For me, I have been able to whip out the proxy and dab wherever I please. The Peak just brings attention that the proxy doesn't. Still waiting on a proxy pro with larger battery life :D that is my main gripe with the proxy.

Loving my proxy. Haven't replaced (or come close to needing to replace) my chamber even though I'm not the most attentive cleaner. Goop has been known to sit in there a little while.

Been bingeing with my proxy for a couple of weeks now until an hour ago when I had a stupid clumsy drop of my sneaky pete's water piece (thankfully the proxy wasn't in it):

Works great for anyone a little challenged by straight up concentrate vapor. Fits right in the hand, cools great.
Back to the og glass pipe til I pick up a new one.

Thanks for feedback on extra chambers folks, I'm going to hold of on getting a second one for now. I do find it a bit odd that the Proxy case has a space dedicated to a second chamber but whatevs.

I did stumble on a sale and have a Bub, a droplet and a hot knife on the way. Stoked to try some water filtration ...

There is another new Puffco device that is being released around 7/10 and it's supposed to be the same price or cheaper than the Proxy. Rumour that it could be a Focus V Aeris kinda thing.

Biohacker doesn't know this, but he's been on my Shit List since July for getting my hopes up about this device. But it turns out his only sin was being correct, too early. Because they're going to launch it on the 15th:

I know a number of us have had an eye on their patent for this for a minute! Hopefully they get their 10 year old IG account back! Puffco commercials are a past time for me lol.

Hi,
If you want something really pocketable, I would go with the Pivot. It is what I throw into my pocket when out and about.
When travelling for a weekend, I take the Proxy. I 3D printed a cup that takes 8mm stems. That way I just take the Proxy, the proxy ¨cup¨ and a dynavap (stem + tip & cap). It all packs in a very small bag.

I know people dont like 3D printed stuff for vaping, but the Proxy only gets hot on the top part...
