Thanks for the pulsing tip DreamHaze. I'm new to the whole concentrate thing. Just got my med card and have been experimenting with stuff. So far the oil vape cartridges have been my best friends :D but I want to really enjoy some concentrates. My first try was a RooЯ rig for $100, which was fake and broke the first time I heated the nail. 2nd is this Puffco pen, which I have been having problems with.

Do you know if using a metal dabber to apply the crumble will kill the coil? If so, is there a special dabber to apply stuff to these coils without ruining them?

Thanks again for all the help.

You should always use the metal pick to Load ur crumble just make sure you don't press it too hard or else it'll break. But you'd have to put in some serious pressure to be able to break it lol soo just load it gently (:

I personally use a wooden toothpick
I collect a glob of wax with it, and if it sticks to the toothpick, i simply lighly brush it and gather it together at the tip using my finger. I then apply to the coil.

If you're looking for another replaement rig that wont break the bank, look on DHGATE and search up the D0 20 bubbler.
It costs less than 40 delivered to your door with a week or two. Comes with a bowl for flower and nail and dome for concentrates.
I also recommend looking at W9TECH products. They so far have been the most reliable atomizers i have tried... and this from using their old school atomizer that needed an addition piece to be able to attach to a 510 threaded battery. I bet their newer products are even better. I'm eve trying to sell my puffco pro, battery and two atomzers, and silicone case, and charger just to get a new atomizer from them and an eleaf i stick 40w

Wow DH... That toothpick with pulsing the atty really was AWESOME!!! Thank you :D

I looked at that DHGate site and DO 20 bubbler (and a few others they had at Sunshine). I'm curious, and I messaged Sunshine to see what they have to say; do you know if the glass they use for the Pyrex is the borosilicate or the (new process) soda lime glass. My search-fu turned up this article stating the differences, and apparently the fake RooЯ I bought was made with the cheaper soda lime glass and when I put it down on the slightly cooler side of my sink after washing it, it shattered. It seems a really good article on Pyrex and I'll link it, but you can check the type of glass in your DO 20 bubbler by looking at it in the sun through Polarized sunglasses. If you see a few colors it's the cheaper soda lime glass, but if you see a lot of different colors it's the much better borosilicate. I'd like to know what you find if you check it and thanks again for all your help DH.

The answer from Sunshine is: "it's Borosilicate glass"

I'm still curious... if anyone has dealt with this Sunshine before and have a glass piece they can use Polarized sunglasses to look at in the sun and check the color variations, I'd really like to know what you see.

Thanks again x ∞

I had a little problem today. My puffco battery was fully charged, but for some reason, when I went to take a hit, the red light flashed a few times then went off. I double checked to make sure it was fully charged and it was. I unscrewed the battery and noticed a small amount of dirt/gunk on the battery contact. I put a tiny amount of isopropyl alcohol on a Q tip and cleaned off the contact and let it dry. Long story short...functioning as good as new! :science:

EDIT: I HIGHLY recommend doing this every so often as it has returned my Puffco to optimum performance!

Good tip Crohnie.. thank you.

For more inexperienced vapers (like myself) I found this Glass Globe Chamber to be the easiest to load atty coil I have yet seen. The coil is right at the top of the chamber (unlike the one that comes with the Puffco) and putting dabs on it can't be simpler. My local disp had one and it's changed my mind on the Puffco (well, the battery anyway).

hey guys im new to these pens and would like to know how efficient these things are? I see people loading a good portion into it but none really mention how long it lasts them? Obviously depends on the person but looking for some insight. Was looking into using one of those ecig mods with an rda and placing directly on coil for my needs but am lost since there are soo many options nowadays. Looking for the cheapest most efficient and functional device to portably enjoy.

Although I've enjoyed my PUFFCO, I have to say, their customer service leaves something to be desired. To begin with, I've had several emails to support that went unanswered. Recently, my cartridge gave out. I ordered a new one on December 22. Today is Jan 14, and I STILL don't have my cartridge. UPS couldn't deliver it because PUFFCO addressed the package improperly. The package was listed by UPS as "delivered" on Jan. 5th. My neighbor was here and said UPS took the package back because the address didn't include an apt. #. Now Puffco says that was the address I entered when I ordered. I know this is incorrect, because if I didn't enter the billing and shipping address correctly, the payment would not have gone through with my debit card.

I've just about had it with this company. It's a good product, but with customer service like that, I think I'll move on to a different pen.

depends on what you call efficient. its easy to use and gives decent rip but its an oil hog and use more then id like to justify using it. I mainly use ceramic ones with quartz rod and ti wire that look like a nail inside the globes for my portable use. they are only like $5 then an adjustable power battery is cheap (get from dhgate because most batteries are rebranded any ways) like the ego twist. Works awesome and at $10 for the setup its hard to beat...

Well, I finally got the situation resolved with PUFFCO. For some reason, the package was incorrectly addressed which caused a delay in delivery. This cause the package to be delivered while I was out of town. According to all available evidence, the package was stolen while I was out of town. I ordered a new coil and PUFFCO was gracious enough to send me a free coil with my order. :D

I don't know who screwed up my address, but I'm happy with the resolution.

I just don't think it will work, I know it might
Yes it is. I'm actually going to get a pre loaded 510 wax cartridge from my local dispensary to try in it.
How did this work out for you ? Any issues ? I was looking at doing the same thing and the Puffco is pretty cheap ATM.

I got my new Puffco in the mail in Friday in time for the big snow storm the northeast us will get. I spent the entire weekend playing with it. Overall I am very pleased with it. The look is very slick and innocent. It looks like a very nice vape pen that one would use e-juice with. I haven't used it public yet, but have no doubt it would be fine. I played with all 3 heat settings and found the green setting was the one for me. I typically held the button down for 4sec, let go and pressed it again for a double hit. A few of those gets me feeling pretty twisted. It seems pretty efficient. The only thing that annoyed me was that it can clog. It took me awhile to get the coil clean yesterday, but once I did I was back in action.

Overall I am very pleased and would recommend this pen.

The clogging improves with smaller loads I find. In fact it gives better hits as its load dwindles than it does when "full."

Can someone give me a straight answer how this compares to the Galaxy by Krazypens?

Also does anyone know anything about the upcoming Puffco 2?

Thanks for the info

I grew tired of the puffco atty and all the fucking clogging and ordered a GALAXY atty from kandypens and it arrived today. It kicks the puffco's ass big time. It's quartz instead of ceramic. Two rods total and it's a little deeper. It has a very very nice draw and gives a much more balanced hit since it uses double the rods. The taste is much much improved over the puffco. It does go through wax faster than the puffco, but that's because it's really a more efficient atty.

To sum it up I should have ordered a GALAXY instead of the puffco. They are running a promo right now where if you send them your puffco cleaned they will send you a free galaxy. I didn't feel like being without a pen and I also didn't want to assume I would be happy, so I just bought the atty and used my puffco bat and tip. I had ordered the style that best matched the puffco color but they sent the wrong one. So I will have to email them and see how their customer service is. I have not heard good things. I will update this post when I find out.

Best atty out right now IMO.

if they would rather take a used puffco than a new galaxy, then obviously the galaxy isnt better (at least in their eyes). I dont own either so i wouldnt really know- just sharing a little logic.

No I just think it's a marketing strategy trying to convert customers. Having owned both I'm very certain the galaxy is better.

Why did you reply?

I bought a Puffco Pro awhile back and used it with tiny little bits of oil. It worked fine for that but then I loaded a big glob in it while hanging with a friend and now I notice that it doesn't really hit very well. It sometimes doesn't even give you a hit. I am going to keep trying with it, but it's starting to seem like a pain. Open to suggestions and I will be going over this thread to get some tips.

If you load too much it can cause issues, mainly oil leaking down where the battery and arty make contact. Only load about 0.1-0.2g at a time. Make sure the connection between the battery and atty isn't clogged with oil and it should start working normally again.
