Portable Vapes Similar to Arizer Q Extreme?

I quit smoking weed about a little over a year ago when I got an Arizer Q Extreme for Christmas. I know it's not the best model on the market or anything, but I love it. That being said, I'm ready to get my first portable vape and I don't really know where to start. I'm not sure if I want pods or a pen. But I definitely want it to be on the healthier side (no combustion) and be comparable in performance to the Arizer Q Extreme. Any advice on where I can start?


(NOTE: I know this isn't the best place to post this question, but I don't have the ability to post in the correct section yet.)

First off, welcome. Are you thinking of a portable as in wireless? Or something you can toss in your pocket? If you're thinking of wireless so you can walk around your house are you interested only in battery power or are you interested in a torch powered vape?

Thanks for a quick response! I was actually thinking portable as in something I can bring with me to shows and events, so pocket-sized would be ideal. I haven't given a lot of thought to battery power - I just want it to be a model with decent performance that will actually vaporize and not burn.

Battery pocketable: I use a FireWood 5 but many say it's not user friedly enough for someone new. So maybe Mighty or Crafty? But I'm not a fan of them as I LOVE convection vapes and I don't like the plastic. So Arizer solo is a good recommendation.

Battery wireless: RBT Milaana 2 or Splinter V1 or V2 if you already have a mod.

Actually if you get an inexpensive mod and a splinter you will have one of my favorite set ups. I also got the XL8R Jr mouthpiece. I tell ya if I'm going to a show I'll have some ground herb in a keychain container and the splinter in my pocket. You can hit it, pop it in your pocket, and hit it again a while later. On demand hits is a beautiful thing!

I'm not sure I'm savvy enough to go down a mod route just yet. The Solo is sounding like my best option. Thanks for the detailed reply. Maybe when I learn it a bit more, I'll be able to take your advice with the mod!

the solo hasn’t been my main driver for 2 years but it still gets regular use. Virtually no maintenance for this thing just clean your stems. Or, you could grab a solo 2 as there appears to be some improvements for $100 more.

An Arizer Solo is really not that pocketable, if sticking with Arizer he should look at the ArGo for a concert or other venu where being able to plan the vape is important

I'm unfamiliar with the ArGo... have you used it before? If so, how would you say it does performance-wise? Would I be sacrificing a lot of power for the extra portability?

There is always a sacrifice as you move away from the cord, but the ArGo is currently my go to out and about vape for when I need to be able to palm the vape. I own the DaVinci IQ and the Grasshopper which both also may fill that role, but for varying reasons the ArGo is seeing more use.

Save the crappy belt holster and the shoddy bayonet type retractable stem cover, the ArGo is easy to use easy to change batteries, easy to load, easy to clean, and the extended stems and other cooling stems available allow you to dial the temp up. The included stems are a bit short for my taste, but they do work. I do prefer the elongated stems available from various dealers like 420EDC or Sneaky Pete.

I'm with @arb on this one. The deal at Arizer is worth a look. Buy any vape, and get a free Air. Many of the vapes are also $20 off. I bought a Solo, and love both my Solo and Air. Absolutely my best vape purchase since the EQ. The deal works with the Argo as well. For concerts I'd just take a cheap vape pen so it could be tossed or lost with no heartbreak. There are other worthy vapes, but to get two wonderful vapes for as little as $124.99 is a amazing to me. I just love Arizer. They have convinced me.

+1 for the original Solo. Have two of them and one of them is 5 years old and still performs like a champ.

If you really want something small for out and about the Healthy Rips Fury 2 is a great option. It heats twice fast as the Solo and the price is right. Battery life will get you through a day/night but the battery life of the Solo is about double.

Healthy Rips has phenomenal customer support. Arizer's customer support isn't very good based on my experience.

Hard to beat that "Buy any vape and get a free air" deal from Arizer though.

I was wondering what I'd post for my 1000th message. This is it.

I ordered an OG Solo last summer when they were having a sale, and I got it for $101. It's the best money I've ever spent on a vape. Until I used Arizer's Buy One Get an Air Free sale to get another Solo I and an Arizer Air for $124.99.

I use my Air for out and about. It's perfect, performs as well as the Solo with a much smaller foot print.

If you love convection vaping, and it seems like you do with the Arizer desktop, you can't do much better than the portable Arizer products. Great bang for the buck.

BTW, my new Solo is still sitting in an unopened box. Hint hint....:cool::wave::)

I bought a Extreme Q basically just so I can get high in my non smoking apartment. I loved it so much I had to get a portable so I can pretty much quit smoking entirely.

I had my heart set on a air2 because I kept reading the solo2 wasn't portable enough, But ultimately I grabbed the solo2 because heating time and battery life were just so much more attractive than being only slightly more portable. I feel like I made the right choice... I had no idea how tiny the solo2 was, it's easily comparable in size to the air and I can't imagine any scenario where I would feel comfortable vaping out of a air but a solo would attract attention. If I use a short air stem in my solo2 it's just as stealthy if not more because I'm not waiting as long for heatup :)

Now I use the solo2 more than the extreme Q as I can use alot less herb and I still get monster hits. My new favorite way to get high is a little crumble or kief sandwiched in my herb and hit through high heat and a bong :)


So I agree, any portable arizer should impress if you dig the extreme Q in my opinion
