Portable vape for lazy person

I'll put one down for MiniVap, seems to fit the description as a glove:
Almost NO cleaning! If I am really concerned about it, maybe three times a month? Otherwise just one.
I use it twice a day.
Its biggest setback depends on how you define portable though...
It is the only hybrid device I know of (both portable and desktop, with different connection) but still the biggest one around. As an advantage, well, its a portable with desktop power!

Cleaning process is a breeze too, just use a few alcohol swabs. Basket needs some brushing, ~3-monthly brush on heating chamber screen, if any. That's it.
Oh, you may need to blow on the bottom screen every few months.

Second would be the Milaana. Just a glass tube to clean. Screen works better when half clogged. Extremely simple, but powerful and easy to use. Offered one to a friend and really loves it too.

IME Solo required cleaning the oven as well, about once a week. Was very low maintenance apart from that, but still a bit of a PITA, to get it perfectly shiny.
If you end up getting this one, just warm oven very gently before cleaning. I found it helped a lot.

I also agree Flowermates/Boundless are a good option too, but don't really own those just tried them, so can't speak in detail about them.

At the end of the day, you may have to give us more detail regarding the amount of power you want in your portable and/or how much money are you willing to spend?
I ordered my answers specifically by how easy they are to clean but that may be a little too restrictive, there's a few differences between all these models besides cleaning, i.e: heating method, etc.

But if you went for a DaVinci, I'm guessing you aim for a mid-range electrical model. So discretion is a factor am I right?

Maybe even a Pax3 would suit your needs? As long as you clean it regularly, it may not require too much cleaning? Say about once/twice a week by most user's reports on the Pax 3 thread, if I'm correct.

As I said we may need more input on your part to be able help you.

Best of luck!

I am new to vaping, so be gentle. My first unit was the Davinci IQ, which I love but the cleaning/maintenance is more than I like. Looking for suggestions on another portable vape this is dramatically easier to clean and maintain? Or is that the holy grail?

Sticky Brick Junior - only the two glass pieces to clean. Just soak them in Iso and and then rinse them with water and you are pretty much good to go. And, yes replace the screen as well.

If your “laziness” is limited to maintenance, then there is nothing new for me to add.
However, if your “laziness” also includes not having to learn a technique of preparing/loading herb nor a special technique on drawing for optimal clouds, medication, etc.. on top of being easy to maintain then...
I think the Fury2 (or potentially upcoming Fierce) is as easy/lazy as a vape can get.

Mighty is least effort and best taste with no effort. Shit my 80 year old mom uses it. Cleaning is the Solo 2. I mean put stem in a storage bag and soak. Heater nothing to clean. Taste is GH but effort. I am looking for a hard hitter without spending $400. Dream is a Volcano for plug it tho. My Mighty gets dirty as hell and battery sucks for the cost.

If you want to go all out lazy mofo then switch from dry herb to concentrate cartridges.

I just started using the Pax Era ( which uses concentrate pods ). I still enjoy vaping herb in my Firefly 1&2 as well as my Pax2, but for a quick hit in the middle of the night (or anytime) it’s the Era! No fuss no mess, just pure satisfaction.

I have an Era too, and sometimes it is the easiest option, but when I have a choice I almost always go with a dry herb option, or even a good concentrate from a non-cartridge type device.

The Era still uses a coil and wick system like the cheaper pens, and that combined with the more artificial seeming taste (at least of what I’ve been able to try) and the somewhat different effect it has make it my backup option rather than my first choice.

It is the most convenient and maintenance-free option I have though!

OP, since you mentioned the IQ, might I suggest the Goboof Alfa which is equal in size and form factor and performance, but doesnt have a slew of detachable parts like the IQ does. It cleans up easily, just take a pipe cleaner wetted with iso and run it through the vapor path, and a Q-tip with iso to quickly swab down the MP, the crevice for the MP, and the oven and youre done. The packing method is similar to the IQ, you have to use fine grind and pack it tight, but cleanup looks faster and easier on the Alfa. And Im willing to bet that the Alfa delivers vapor just as thick and potent and pure as the IQ. The heating pin that goes down the middle of the chamber works wonders. Really the only things youre losing are the precise temp control and the interchangeable battery, but its also ALOT cheaper now, the Alfa is ~$175 cheaper than the IQ as of today. I love mine.

This.
I have both VapVap and Sticky Brick Jr. vaporizers. The SBJr. is definitely the lowest maintenance and easiest to clean vape of all that I have tried. Great milky hits too, it completely kicks the hell out of the VapCaps for thick, volumous vapor production! :)
I cannot recommend it enough... just fantastic.

@shredder how much herb can those capsules hold?
I don't know but just fill 60% pleasantly pressed bud. Don't have extremely accurate scale in very small amounts. I gave up grinding for Lent someday forever. Nice evenly toned results and they heat better than the flower tanks. Always use them now and never go bare oven!

My Solo II is definitely easier to maintain than my Fury 2 or even my vapcaps. The VapCap needs gunk pipe cleaned out of the condenser and the Fury 2 likes the five little pieces of the black mouthpiece disassembled for deep cleaning. My Solo II just gets its stems soaked in a zip lock with some iso every so often and very occasionally an upside down q-tip iso swab of the chamber.
