Guilty. And for 'problem cases' and small bubblers I have a plastic funnel and short tube I use to collect the wash water from the upper tray on it's way down and route it though the glass. I has a hook to hang from the cage the arm spins in (under the glasses and stuff on the upper tray).

On the general subject of fouling (the other side of 'keeping it clean') IMO the key is the cure of your herb. If it goes in dry, everything stays clean. Excess moisture in the load condenses before the good stuff evaporates, that moisture is what makes stuff gooey. The stuff that's 'half oil/half water' that ISO won't cure. We learned this on MFLB where you can't get 'under the screen' to clean since it's welded in. Some guys have put a staggering amount of top shelf bud through theirs 'well cured'. Others have trashed their unit with a gram or two 'really dank' weed.
Currently I've been using the F2 with their new 'dosing capsules'. SS baskets with caps you drop in the oven preloaded. The fouling, what little of it there is, stays in the capsules. Guys report many dozens of sessions with basically no fouling in the unit at all. I have, I think, about 35, maybe 40 (I lost track of how many times I've refilled the five I'm using. The one in there, waiting, is either 36 or 41 since I cleaned it, and it's still very clean in the oven. The MP got a ride through the dishwasher maybe 10 back? Some condensate collecting there, easy to wash when it gets to be an issue.
Some other vapes can be 'hanger queens' due to rapid/tough fouling.
SMF is right. Stick to glass parts you can wash. Keep it dry going in, and life gets real easy. Only stuff you can brush or easily wash away to deal with. Then again, he's so often right........

Vapcap all the way... Made by Dynavap in the USA, it's tiny, super efficient with your bud, so you'll save lots of money on material. It's modular so you can customize the look and function. It handles dry bud, hash and concentrates like rosin and shatter with ease. Best of all, it's super easy to clean....If you have 30 seconds to spare...just pass a Q-Tip through the warm condenser every few weeks and then either vape the reclaim or discard it.

The Vapcap is virtually indestructible. Maintenance is replacing an oring or two....eventually. I've had my Vapcaps for around three years now and I've never had to replace an oring yet, but maybe some day.

I would add another vote for the Vapcap. I have other vapes, and some of them I love, but if I could only have one it would be the Dynavap M, '18 model. But of course I love vapcaps so much that I have a small collection. And I paid for all of them with the $ I've saved on flower.

Any Dynavap Vapcap, dramatically easier to clean than any other Vaporizer that I know of. And it's great.
The "M" 2018 for example is amazing. Look up @Pipes induction heaters if you want an electric heater (the PSMini is top notch).
Is there any Vaporizer easier to clean by the way? Probably not?
Does it have to be a herb vape? You could buy or fill your own disposable cartridges (ie CCELL). No need to clean anything. Not sure if something like an HVT Sai could be easy to maintain.
I am a lazy fucker and my only vape is my dynavap M, as well as a modbox and a few empty disposable carts. After combusting a few times with the M, cleaning it with a 99% iso qtip greatly helped. I had to pop out the screen and clean it by rubbing it against an iso-wet napkin, and cleaned out the inside of the tip. protip: make sure that all the iso is gone before packing it. submerging first would've probably made it easier
I've had difficult times with the M, but they were mostly because of poor material, a dirty clogged tip, and improper technique

If you don't want to use butane, I'd suggest the Fury 2. It is simple to use and, unless you use the glass stems, easy to clean. And I just put the glass stems in a small jar of iso that I keep for cleaning glass and that's about all. I just got the dosing capsules and haven't tried them yet. The fury 2 itself comes with a built in stem that isn't glass so you can skip the glass cleaning altogether.

I'm with SMF above. Solo/Air/ArGo let you put the dirty parts in the dishwasher.......fit's the 'lazy person' goal I think. I found my DV much more fiddly. The (all glass) stem/bowl on Solo comes out squeaky clean after a ride in the silverware tray or over one of the pegs on the bottom shelf while I switch to another stem.
If you don't have a dishwasher handy, a 'travel tube', some hot tap water, and a pinch of PBW does a fine job as well, but you have to do more work......

Kind of a scary thing to ask, really. LOTS of opinions since there are so many trade offs. And two models of Solo and Air, making for five models in all, and then there's colors.......
For a 'check it out' kinda guy I'd suggest the original Solo. Solo II has longer battery life, fancier display, and a slightly smaller package.......and a much higher price. Guys are buying OG Solos for around $100 these days, much better than $200+. Airs are smaller, have replaceable batteries but if you need smaller I'd suggest going to ArGo which is very compact but has less stem/accessories options.
OG Solo (Solo I) has most of the features available, certainly all you need and will give 8 or 10 'sessions' (12 minutes each) per charge typically, plenty for most guys? They are tanks, there are like 40,000 posts on 1600 pages with basically no failures? Very tough and dependable:

IMO you can't go very far wrong with Solo, it will make first class vapor (if you keep stems clean) as long as you feed it weed and keep it charged. Lots of us have many vapes, very very few give/sell their Solos. I suggest you go back a couple dozen pages there and do a bit of reading? Stems for Solos and Airs interchange, ArGo has a thinner and longer 'bowl' section to fit the more compact unit.
I suggest you seriously consider extra stem options (which you can do after using it a bit), especially things like PIU's one with the built in bubbler:

It does a very nice job for it's tiny size (making the vapor moister so it is easier on your throat......worth considering as you'll no doubt use it a lot) and features water traps so the tablespoon or so of water it uses cannot leak out! When I put it in the dishwasher I cheat a bit and put a plastic funnel on it (connected with a bit of tubing) to catch more wash water which flushes through handily.
PIU is an excellent source with free shipping to the US included, although you might save a few dollars elsewhere (read the thread for the latest?). Randy (owner) is aces, a strong supporter of these Forums, offers 'best in the industry' Customer Support and IMO is a great guy to do business with.

Be sure to experiment with cure (dryness, dryer keeps everything cleaner), heat settings (start at step 4) and grind (Randy includes a nice grinder), although unlike most any other vape you can simply put an intact nugglet in the stem, put the stem in and get good results.
BTW Solo/Air/ArGo is near legendary for taste (kept clean), few approach it, many fans claim none better.
So now you know how I feel about it. I've got lots of company in that, not that there aren't a lot of excellent vapes out there. But Solo I would be my advice thus far.

Lil' Bud by Vapwood is quite maintenance free . Occasional screen cleaning of course , as most vapes . The vapcap's are low maintenance, tbut for a lazy person , the Lil'Bud is definitely easier to use to me then my vapcap and butane torch were... vapcap might be maintenance free but filling your torch every other day might not be for a lazy person, unless you go with an induction heater , which will still require battery charging ...

My vote is for the fury 2 with capsules. Much less maintaince than my other the other vapes, dynavaps included. A mighty with capsules is close tho, and maybe better, but much more expensive. The fury 2 has less fiddling with more consistant hits than a vapcap. Plus presice temperature control. Getting consistant results with a vapcap takes some practice. No real practice needed with vapes that let you set a temperature.

Never checked but I'd guess they hold something around .1 - .15 gram. They seem like slightly more than 1/2 of my mighty capsules at .2, and they hold a little more than a full vap cap load, at what? .5 - .7?

Another vote for the Vapcap but I think it's only fair to mention that when you combust a load (which you probably will as you learn the heating technique) it will taste foul and stink! Luckily, it's dead easy to take apart and soak in ISO, dish soap, whatever. This is also a good reason to have at least 2 Vapcaps. Lots of people have Induction Heaters manufactured by a third party. Also, it's nice to clean them now and again - you can get a surprising amount of resin reclaim from the condensers.
Hmmm. I guess it's not completely cleaning free but that's part of the fun - you can swap around different parts - Lego for Stoners, that's what we call it.
