Portable battery powered vape for outside use

I'm like seeing this dude sitting in a circle of Fury vapes reaching out and grabbing at random one of the ten... only problem , want be able to leave circle Ever LOL

Fun idea, only I think you're working too hard.......think 'lazy Susan'. Like that big round table at Chinese restaurants? You could sit in one place while the ring of F2s comes to you. Each with a different strain? New 'diners' could put their loaded F2 in a open spot on the turntable and sit down and enjoy. Like a 'pot luck' church social.......only with our favorite herb?

Maybe even motorize the table? Have it pause say 30 seconds then rotate one station to the right.

Then add an automatic dump of the capsule when it's exhausted, followed by loading the next (loaded) capsule from the magazine......like a Gatling gun, only quieter.

Finally an idea with some real potential........

On topic for a minute (stay calm, it will pass), if the outside use includes carrying it in your pocket, a big plus for F2 over ArGo is it's far more 'pocket friendly'. It also is much faster to solid vapor. The glass stem is (unfortunately) a serious insulator, slowing the flow of heat when we need it most. Likewise it retains heat in the load longer, with F2 you can take a quick 'dry hit' or two and rapidly cool the capsule and load down (and not have stored heat in the glass return). Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Solo/Ari/ArGo and think them superior until you try to move them and change from sessions to 'grab a quick hit or two and get on with it' mode. The major downside is battery capacity. Not a big deal if you plan ahead, otherwise a 'power bank' is handy to have handy. It recharges very fast.

@audiodelic I thought seriously about the Crafty (the Mighty is a bit too bulky for me) and the Ghost, but I think it's a lot of money for a device that I'll use a couple of times a week outside. I agree with that I should avoid buyers remorse and should invest in something durable.

@little maggie and @P.A.M. I really like vapes that are made from wood (Dreamwood vapes, vapman, etc.) and give me on-demand vapor. Vapes like the Nomad and Lil Bud are on my wishlist (certainly after seeing those videos!). If an European store would offer them and would handle the warranty issues, the choice would have been easy for me!

@PPN A good working Fog seems to suit my needs very well indeed. I'm a bit concerned about the build quality of the vape. Going to test it in a shop in Amsterdam to see if it's something for me.

@OF Thank you for your input, the Argo is now off my list!

The F2 is now number one, the Fog needs some "investigation work". The only thing I'm going to delve into is the Dreamwood Glow with a 510 boxmod. Don't know if it's pocketable enough, but it surely gives on-demand vapor.

@Dutch-Mic , Mike of Vapwood as shown here on FC that warranty, not only does he fix but goes the extra mile to serve his clients . (I think he even once fixed or replaced a button or unit on a second hand unit for free or minimal charge due to a early production button failure.. the LB now as a heavy duty button that's been tested by many for the last 6-9months with no trouble it seems ? @Bravesst, any returns for repairs lately or did you fire your repairman ?
He does ship internationally, not sure if worries due your country in particular or just don't order overseas frequently and worry ?

Don't get me wrong , the fury and the likes are probably fun vapes too , that's what fun (or not) about vaporizing , so many styles and kinds to choose from lolll. but if one prefers to stay away from plastics and stuff or if the LB is on your wish list , I wouldn't let warranty be the only show stopper sorta thing because warranty is practical irrelevant or needed with the LB. Mike word can be trusted .

Just want to add that there shouldn’t be warranty issues with the Nomad either - not just because @Dan Morrison does quality work and stands behind it, but because there’s not much that can go wrong with it!

I know shipping it back to Canada for repair would be annoying, but there is very little that I would expect anyone to break, and you should be able to do any service it’s likely to need yourself. Cleaning the contact behind the button is the main thing I think, and that shouldn’t need to be done more than a few times a year (hopefully less often).

There are no electronics to worry about, just a very durable magnetic button connecting a circuit made of thick metal from the battery to a removable heater (there are 2 different heaters available so far). In that way it’s a very simple device, but it’s very carefully designed and built.

I don’t even have mine yet and I can already recommend it pretty strongly to anyone interested in unregulated convection vaporizers based on the design and reports from experienced users who already have theirs. I don’t expect any problems that you couldn’t take care of pretty easily at home.

The only reason *not* to buy right now is that there’s a waiting list, so unless someone who just got theirs in the latest batch doesn’t get along with it you’d have to get on the list and wait for it. Personally I’d probably buy a F2 or Li’l Bud now and get on Dan’s list for later.

Not to take anything away from the LB, but being cheaper and more different the F2 might be the better interim option if you go in that direction, unless you want 2 unregulated vaporizers to compare or you just prefer the LB.

About shipping to my country from the US, the reasons why I'm a bit reluctant are twofold: the import tax can be quite high and I'm not fond of the shipping costs when I need to send a product back. But after your posts I took a look at the Lil Bud thread, read the good reviews and must admit that it looks really great. Questions about the Lil Bud:

- The Netherlands has often a humid climate. Could that affect the woodwork when I walk with it outside?

- The MFLB needs bone dry herb. Is that also the case with the LB, or can I also stuff the more sticky herbs in it?

@VaporWare The Nomad is also beautiful, what a craftmanship! On-demand vaping is more my style, so the LB/Nomad would be a perfect fit. F2 is more pocketable, has the capsule option and a small bowl. The LB/Nomad is on-demand, made of wood and aesthetically more pleasing....
I love the hunt for a new vaporizer

To answer your question about damp weather , I think under normal damp conditions using common sense such as keeping it in your dry pockets or in a soft case or bag (ebay as vape cases for under $5) it would protect it enough ? If you get home and it is feeling damp , I'd simply take a few ghost tokes to warm it up. I don't know .. others might shim in , I'd say use common sense and should be fine .

I live in north eastern Ontario (400km North of Toronto ) so I get a mix of dry/damp/rain/snow/slush and everything in between. My LB as seen it all. I've opened my LB's insides and never seen anything wrong . The woods are hard & dry.

As for sticky , not fully dry herb , no problems at all. Mike preaches on a dry load for optimal results, lol to which I always tell him to let us load how we want , LOL .. truth is though, you can basically load how you want with the LB. I've vaped barely harvested not yet dried uncured herb with the Lil' Bud. As with any other vaporizers it adds a few draws to your session but if your herb isn't fully dried , the LB will dry and vaporize it for you .

I don't know how Mike marks his oversea packages but I know some small businesses try to describe things in a way that it shouldn't add costs for the customer

Contact @Bravesst , some LB Classic Blends at $150 right now . I'd get one if I could .

The nomad is as close to a perfect vape (given my interests) as I've found. But you might want to get something like a f2 now and get on the nomad list for the future. I don't know how long the wait is now - probably shorter than my wait- but still quite a while. You can save up more money for the nomad while waiting.

I was thinking about a little, portable vape like the Fury 2. @P.A.M. suggested the Lil Bud, which made me realise that I also didn't own a battery powered convection vaporizer. After lots of thinking work I decided to go for the Dreamwood Glow, a relatively small convection vaporizer for a box mod.
