Chicken #420

I and I be Irie Vaping with U and U in Zion, mon!
Alriiiighty then...

After much consideration, I've finally pushed the "take my money" button and have a $40 Vapcap "M" on the way. I've been considering buying one or two of the other convection vapes in the poll, to go with the Vapcap for more "home oriented" and non-mobile use. SBJr for full flavor and lack of batteries, SoloII or Haze Dual V3 for battery powered "on demand" quick convection. E-Nano Log vape for all-around bud sipping home awesomeness. So many choices, so little cash! ;)

Which of these, or others I haven't considered, would you choose? Why?
You can vote for more than one, so vote early... and vote often! :)

Thanks!

I'd get a VapCap Induction Heater from @Pipes. That will make using the M at home Soooo much better.

My fav log is the Woodscents by @Ed's TnT which just so happens to work in conjunction with VapCaps.

If you are after something that's beautiful check out @Dan Morrison's Nomad (not out yet but soon, real soon).

Loads of people are raving about the Tubo Evic, I'm especially curious about its cruise control mode.

Definitely get an induction heater from @Pipes. Best VapCap accessory ever, hands down.

Solo or Solo II is a good choice for battery-powered vape. Although if you ask me, it's a conduction vape, not convection. Don't let that fool you into thinking it's an inferior vape though! Conduction, convection, they're both just different methods of achieving the same thing. And in my opinion, the taste from the Solo is sublime.

If you're looking at log vapes, check out the Woodscents from @Ed's TnT. As @GreenHopper said, it works with VapCaps. I'm sure the e-nano is a good choice as well.

If you're going to go with a log I'd skip the e-nano and go with a more versitile 12v log. Either Underdog (Who's having a huge sale soon) HI, or Ed's Wood-scents. You get way more options with any of these in terms of versatility and accessories. Not that there's anything wrong with the E-nano, its just these other logs have more versatility IMO. As well as more individuality since they're hand-turned.

My other go-to recommendation is the Milaana. Powerful and versatile.

And I'm gonna say Lotus too because it has absolutely incredible vapor quality and taste.

I love the haze, but I do think that the vapcap and haze are quite similar in how they vape a load. Now that I think of it, the haze might be worthwhile for more noisey situations away from home, since it'll give you similar results to your vapcap without needing to be able to hear the click ;) @steama has a good idea with the flower pot, I also recommend the d-nail flower adapter for the same purpose. You might also consider the evo of course! You've got a wonderful portable in the vapcap M, now what you really need is a desktop IMO (and something to use when it is loud as above).

I don't recommend buying a log tbh, since the abovementioned e-nail style vapes will also give you more advanced temp control and an e-nail controller for electric dabs if you so desire this at a later stage :D

I'd say get your "M", and get to know it for at least a month or so. 100 loads ought to be enough to get a solid feel for any vape. Figure out what you do and don't like about it. Will it be enough for you as a portable? How do you like vapor flavor & production? Am sure you'll be figuring some of this out for yourself while discovering some of the wonders of vaping.

It may be you love it so much you'll want another VC - like an OMNI. You may find you want bigger hits and/or something for home you will plug in. You may decide you want heavier vapor on the go.

It's so easy to get excited about vaping or a particular vape, especially here on FC with so many great people, their suggestions and the great info all over. But, think it better for most of us to settle in a little, figure what we do/don't like, then move forward from there. Think we all do it the impulsive (wrong?) way some (know I do!), but is better in long run to find your vaping needs and desires and work from there.

Also, be aware that vaping usually becomes a very personal thing. On threads like this, you'll get many opinions - some that will probably align with yours, and some that don't. And, that you'll often get those opinions sometimes in the face of and contrary to facts.

Don't take me wrong - many great suggestions above!! But, a couple for instances - no offense to those who posted at all! @steama (whose posts I always follow and pay close attention to) suggests VCs and adding a flower pot. Also selling off most of his other stuff and tempting me and others to no end!! (Thanks, steama!) I've been really tempted by flower pot because it looks awesome and that it does concentrates very well. You can even double load flowers and concentrates in same hit! I've looked at it a bunch of times and think I've determined while this is a great vape, it may not be best for me. There's a good bit of equipment purchase and set up, and think I'm better off sticking with some things I already have instead. However, if I was in a legal state, or had other solid access to trates, I'd be all over this one. If my vape area wasn't already so cluttered (or I wanted to get rid of, or put everything else away), I'd probably still be getting one.

Someone else above said DC vapes are more versatile than the nano, so better. In some ways they are. For instance there are many more types of stems available, and being DC native they're easy to power in a car. I've got a HI and a WS (which is most versatile IMO because of VC use with it), but my nano is still my fav of all because of the unmatched power and flavor of vapor - in part because stainless steel cup inside ensures you get absolutely no wood flavor in your vapor. Something I haven't been able to accomplish with the other two. And, plenty of versatility for me, even with only a few stem/GonG options. All 3 are great vapes I enjoy, and often really dig the slight wood flavor wafting in with the vapor. You may like it one way, or the other.

Anyway, back to my point.... Most prudent is to figure out what you definitely like, might like, definitely don't like, etc. The M should help with a lot of that. It's a great vape, and IMO the BEST entry level vape out now (cost, simplicity, portability and more!)! Once you get it, vape often and come on here and poke around while under the influence for more info on these vapes and many others than you'll know what to do with. But, as hard as it is, keep your powder dry (and your wallet growing) so you can have a better idea of what you want and key on things that you'll enjoy in a vape. And, don't forget they all usually go on sale at some point!

And, once you get all that figured out (or maybe before), be ready to do the same pondering about glass pieces, butane jet lighters, grinders, and the nearly inevitable VCAS (VapCap Acquisition Syndrome) that so many of us are afflicted with!

Great post and very on point.

Vaping is such a personal experience.

I'm VASing for a the FlowerPot too  but I'm holding out until I've got a glass solution it will work well with. Also I need to define a vape station/desk for it all to work on. :D

The vaponic would be a good additon - once u figure out the heating for the M, the vaponic ain't that much different but offers much more versatilly in temperature and especially the taste is so much better and longer lasting.
All glas vapour path, mostly convection and only 35$ incl WW shipping on ebay - so no reason not to have one (plus the stealthy marker casing also fits for a vapcap)

A titanium DynaVap I find requires less heating time than my M, which is quicker and easier on my lighters and lighter fluid supply (Not that it's expensive). I think over it's lifespan compared with an M, any of the titanium DynaVaps will balance out.

Sadly many of my awesome current vapes go unused because of the ease of using the DynaVaps, and I still need to get an induction rig!
FireFly II - Great vape, but it requires stirring which is messy. Cleaning is easy an flavor for the first few hits is great.
Grasshopper - Easy to load and replenish, if not overpacked no stirring required. Only down side is it does put out a lot of heat and it should really be used with a water tool.
Herbalizer - This works really well at home and is used at home almost as much as my DynaVaps. Fairly easy to clean and load, quick heating, biggest downside is price.
DaVinci IQ - Great conduction vape to pass around with friends, not bad to load or stir, love being able to swap batteries. Only con like the Pax is it can be stinky
Da Budha - Closest thing I have to a log vape. Awesome indestructible, reliable vape, water tool recommended at higher temps for full extraction. This was my first vape in 2010, so having a hard time letting it go. It's a good reserve/backup vape to keep around in case Herbie decides to protest

@flotntoke has solid advice there. I would love to hear back from you and your experience with the m.
I know each vape I have owned changes my desires and expectations toward other Vapes.
For instance there was a time when I recommended the apx because it was cheap and it didn't burn your material. I would never recommend that now after using the m.

Get an Underdog, a solo II and maybe a water pipe and banger for concentrates (or the7th floor elev8r)

It's a killer setup!!
