Plenty of stand alone vapes, first mod advice needed

Hi Everyone,
I bought a couple of these to learn more about mods while I’m also trying DIY a MFLB on the go power adaptor. Since my DIY skills are less than exceptional, I wanted to ask the FC community what 510 based dry herb vaping items would be compatible with this mod:

https://www.vaporesso.com/vape-kits/target-mini-2

I know little to nothing about mod based atomizers and wattage needs, temp controlled aspects, etc. Just trying to get an accurate response on say a Divine Tribe Gen1 or 2, Stempod, Impcognito, Splinter, etc compatibly before I wade in over my head. Also does this have the oomph to run the MistVape made Vapcap heater? Thanks ahead of time. I await your wisdom filled responses...

You can try mods you already own in wattage with any Splinter (my 510 experience is all with Splinters and I have every variant) but no: the mods that get recommended here most often are the ones that are compatible with sur_myevic or Arctic Fox firmware. The one I tell everyone to start with is the Wismec RX Gen3 Dual. It's affordable, available and a good size and fit for the various 510 heaters. Given the configuration and settings variability it helps to have the exact mod many others have used with good success.

I forgot all about those other 510 offerings out there. But very true, a good mod will take on a log just as well. I was looking at Vapresso's Gen as an interesting option. Access to cells, which you have to supply apparently, and a nice selection of options. Just a little to big for LB use, but for serious cooking vape, 2x 18650 is a good amount of charge in a very decent package. I'd buy one on a deal just to take it apart and make use of its bowels.

Did you vape anything through the Target Mini yet?

...crap, they were down to $9.99 on eightvape. Got 2 coming :haw:

$9.99? Will this Target Mini 2 work with the Splinter Z?
The built-in battery is smaller than a single cell mod like the P80. It also doesn't run the firmware folks here use to get their Splinter settings right. There's an unlimited number of cheap mods out there and really you'd have to try them all to see how they compare to the proven ones.

This is specifically for small form factor as it will be hanging out the side of a Launch Box. But yea, $9.99 with the atomizer. That's down from $16.99.
