I'm just gonna bookmark this thread in case I see anything I can help with. 3D printing isn't always the answer, but I'll sure as hell see if I can find one!
I have been seriously thinking about buying a Vapcap. I'm curious to know if my car's cigarette lighter would provide enough heat to click the cap. Also what about the electronic cigarette lighters? Has anyone tried one of those?

I tried the car cigarette lighter. It can make it click, but in my opinion it's more work than it's worth. The torch lighter is just waaay more convenient.
My experience was that I had to push the cigarette lighter in to it's heating port and make it get hotter than it normally would. I had to hold it in there like 30 seconds. Then I put it on the end of the cap and heated it up...that wasn't quite enough, so I did it again. Held the cigarrette lighter in it's port against it's will in order to heat it up more, so to speak (as it would normally pop out after a few seconds). Mind you, this process is not too fun, the cigarette lighter starts to get uncomfortable hot to handle. After two of these, It made the Vapcap click. If you want to keep going, you have to put it back in and hold down the hot cigarette lighter again, etc. But you are only able to heat the end of the cap, so the heat isn't as well distributed. It does work in a pinch, however.

What about a custom cap/heater that has a cable running to a car 12v plug.. thingy? 
You could plug it in, and hold down a button not unlike a car lighter- almost mflb style, but with the power of your car battery

Sapor or Sapor clone is my preferred rda, the VapCap works well with it and it works even better for vaping underdog stems.

Cool idea for a thread.
Alternative means of heating the VapCap have always been part of the plan, just not a priority as getting product produced seemed more important. I have some preliminary designs on the drawing boards and some of the parts ready to build a 12v cigarette lighter adapter to automatically heat the VapCap.
I'm curious to what the level of interest here would be.

Built in butane lighter like the hammer or iolite without removeable glass, and shorter heat up time than the hammer.
Something like these
I'm sure something like a vapman conduction or some carbon stone like a vaporgenie could be achieved off that form factor. Like a butane grasshopper!
