Please help me..... splinter, rx200s

Alright so I saw sneaky petes video regarding the splinter and I was intrigued by the 510 device.

I have tons of mods laying around so i started looking into the splinter.

Once I saw that it comes from my home, the Adirondacks, I had to have it.

I loaded myevic onto it and the version is different then the one I found in the sneaky pete video with "cruise" mode.

Ive spent the last 2 hours reading threads on here and despite my proficiency with coil building and mod experience in temp control I just cant get this right.

Right now I am in TCR 140, coils is locked at its native .253, temp set to 360, watts are at 35 and now at 47

1) i cant get any vapor off this thing, and I am hesitant to go wading into the settings and possible blow the coil. A main selling point for the splinter was the clouds.

2) I really liked the thought of the cruise mode, where the coil would remain heated for a time like on my Arizer. however the setting is missing form the current version of myevic.

3) im seeing three different types of firmware now as I browse the forum posts. I just want a cruise mode, with a locked temp that I can adjust.

please help me, im at my wits end with this thing.

I like the TCR at about 125 for my Splinters
If using sur_myevic I recommend enabling the sweet PID in vaping>algo

Set to 360F ish and have a draw or 3 and increase or decrease the temp to get an idea of how far off your settings are.
To adjust from there you can increase and decrease the locked resistance to increase or decrease the coil temp (go up and down in .001 or .002 ohm steps) and/or you can adjust the TCR to increase or decrease the coil temp too.

You need to take slow and long draws, moving a lot of air... unlike with conduction vapes you seem to be comparing this one to.

And go by the vapor you get, not the temperature displayed on screen. If you get wispy hits at a given setting, then bump the temperature up 10°C and retry. It's best to do your tests in plain TC mode though, not in cruise mode. Get it right first then you'll do cruises.

There's no coil inside your Splinter, it's a beefy mesh based heater. Good luck!

The temps are pretty arbitrary.
Not getting vapor, go higher.
And higher.
And higher.
Until you get clouds.

You can adjust from there.
