Hi There,

Iv been browsing this forum for a few days now, i reached the conclusion that i might need some help lol.
Its my first vape, iv tried a volcano once but other than that im fresh to vaping.
FYI I live in London, England

So im a smoker/toker looking for health and efficiency benefits, drawn towards a whip style with the ability to connect to a bong.
I may want bags as an option but not bag only.
I do use hash and oil as well as herb if thats a consideration.
It will mostly be used as a home personal vape, 1-3 people. For 1 person do you use smaller amounts or just turn the vape off and hit it again later?
Price isnt a concern but somewhere under or around $300 with add ons.
Digital display not necessary but a good temperature variability and decent max temp(240C).

So iv ruled out the volcano (bag only), ViVape (max tmep 190C), VapeXhale (price/availability), plenty (no bong), HerbalAire (prefer extreme q)
I think currently my 2 main contenders are the Extreme Q and the LSV. Extreme Q for bag/party functionality,
LSV for a pro hand held whip vape. Are there any other vapes that i should consider?

The other consideration is getting replacement parts. LSV parts aren't that available in the UK, extreme q parts are in everywhere.
Not a big deal really but

I may be ordering from the US initially, currently the deals i am looking at are

LSV with Water Pipe Adapter-from manufacturer
with:
Replacement Heater Cover, Transfer Wand, Water Pipe Adapter
Full set of replacement screens and a set of ceramic flavor discs
Shipping to UK
384.32 USD (242 GBP)

Extreme Q 4 - from vapeworld
with:
Water Pipe Adapter, Cyclone Tuff Bowl, Spare elbow and whip, spare screens
Shipping to UK
Without External Portable Battery Pack
348 USD (219 GBP)
With External Portable Battery Pack
433 USD (273 GBP)

FYI the shipping from the US is $50-60 but still works out much cheaper

So how do you vape small (1 person) amounts, should i consider other vapes, any better deals out there iv missed?

Any and all input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
LF

Both of those two are good vapes, each with their fan base. I've yet to try the EQ, but my personal inclination is towards the 7th floor range. It was the heavy vapor of the SSV that hit the spot and allowed me to give up smoking altogether. My past vaping experiences had been fine, but not enough of a 'bite' to kick my smoking habit.

One thing I will advise to remember is that you're very likely to incur import VAT charges on any vape that you buy from the USA- this means 20% VAT, plus a handling fee of either £8ish for royal mail if it's a small packet, or £13.50 for parcel force if it's a parcel. This often makes the deals that you see from america not actually all that cheap after all and you are often better buying within Europe. One way around it is if you can get the sender to falsely declare the value on the parcel, but that's fraud and officially illegal lol, so some senders won't do it. Shipments under £15 don't get taxed, or under £35 if they are marked as a 'gift'.
HMRC Revenue and Customs

There are good deals to be had in Europe, just not quite as good as in the USA. I find Vaposhop often has pretty competitive pricing here in the EU. Worth looking around though.

Your max temp requirement of 240 C is too high unless you need a vape that reaches combustion point. The E doesn't go that high, despite what you may see on the display. The viVape (not that I'd recommend it) will certainly go higher than 190 C/374 F. Pretty certain there's not a vape on the market with a max temp that low. The LSV isn't a "hand held whip vape". It's a wand vape that needs glass.

If you going to consider a US reseller you should check here for FC member discounts- http://www.fuckcombustion.com/threads/retailer-discussion-discounts.1802/ . You should also check everyonedoesit.com and Vaposhop.

Thanks very much, i hadn't appreciated that VAT needs to be payed. That would have been a nasty surprise

I just wanted to have a vape that can get hot enough for all the active compounds if i want them.
Im sure that any of the vaporizers im really looking at will be fine. Sorry yes wand vape, but i meant that it can be used on its own or with glass

Im starting to lean towards the LSV, saw this post by iloveboobs with the aquavape and i think thats awesome. Then at some point i can get some proper glassware. Can anyone tell me me the kind of tubing that iloveboobs is using there. Is that just regular tubing used for whips and waterpipes?

I recommend the extreme q, it is around 300 bucks(official site).
I load in the same amount whether I am alone or with friends, with more people I just refill it a couple times.

I think im starting to come round to the extreme q. Mostly as im trying to find some of the LSV accessories and cant really find much in europe. I was thinking about buying the LSV and an aquavape (getting a spacecase for the first time as well) here in the uk then get a load of replacements/extras sent over from the US.

If i go for the extreme q then i can get it all from the uk/eu within a few days with a load of replacement parts and i can still get the grinder and aquavape

Im also thinking the extreme q is a bit more robust and less likely to have issues, if my LSV were to break id have no backup vape!

I have the viVape and would highly recommend it. Now, keep in mind I'm a relatively new vaporist, and the viVape is my first "desktop" vape. But I've used it heavily and daily for over two months with zero issues. I'd say the EQ is a fair comparison, but having used it, I think the viVape delivers a superior experience, though the EQ isn't shabby at all.

With the viVape, I use the whip only, with a 14mm glass adapter at the other end (courtesy of ALT), which I put into my glass bong with some water/ice. I have the temp set at 338F (and yes, it goes above 400F, though I'd never use it that high), and my clouds are enormous. Plus, the taste is pure all the way through.

I don't like having to stir the bowl after each hit, but I like fresh flavor for each hit and I guess that's the case with other similar vapes (though, it appears the VXC will solve that problem for me :brow:). Small price to pay for the great experience. And while the touch screen is nice and works just fine, it's not the best feature and I think perhaps overplayed by Vaporfection.

Many experienced folks on this forum don't seem too keen on the viVape, and they're quite knowledgeable so I took their comments seriously. But my personal experience with the vape and the company has been very good. I broke my small Aqua Vape and they sent me a new one without asking me to return the other one. I rarely use it, preferring my bong, but it's nice to have.

I'm adding a log vape (the HI) and the VXC to my collection once it's my turn to place my order. I think once I have those, I'll be sitting pretty (and awfully vaked :ko:).

Whichever you choose, happy vaping!

I'd stick a vote in for the EQ. As a first vape it's good as it gives you versatility, ease of use and good spares availability. I'm sure you would be satisfied with the LSV as well but think the EQ's versatility pips it to the post as a first vape imo.

+1 for the EQ. Its not the end-all be-all, but it sure works well in various modes. I dont hesitate to recommend it enough. With the elbow pack method, it works very well especially with vaporbonging.

I should say that after much research for me it came down to the viVape or the EQ. So IMO you'll be happy either way.
