So you think it is more reasonable for VaporBLUNT to declare their shipments as gifts? That is fraudulent and a great way for them to get into trouble.

I agree the packaging should be more discreet, especially for international shipping, but I for one would have no problem picking that up from Customs. It's never been used and prosecution under the UK's paraphernalia law (even of headshops) are unheard of. It's highly unlikely that there would be any trouble, but of course your paranoia might easily exceed mine.

No, but to declare a price of $50.00 though??

You know, technically, according to TRVB these were FOC swap-outs for defective (or even non defective for those who worry) plastic parts... the $15 charge was for shipping only. If you sent your PonG, you paid nothing...

So I'll ask a question back if you don't mind;

Do you think it's reasonable for VB to put a higher than true price on an international package, of a piece sent FOC as a replacement for a faulty part, and make no effort to help it's international customers avoid paying an additional import/customs charge by marking the package as such??

I don't... it's all down to attention to detail, and I would have thought VB needed all the goodwill from customers at the moment. I don't really believe that they don't care as they already have our :2c: but actively doing something to help out, that takes no effort or cost, wouldn't go amiss)...

I believe that VaporBLUNT has an obligation to all of their customers to comply fully with customs laws, else they risk legal problems. I think you'll find that even though an item is a no-cost replacement for a defective part the law requires a declaration of true value. In fact, I know that Canadian customs laws apply duty to the cost of repairs in some circumstances. The UK might be different.

I agree, and you're probably correct that they may need to declare its full value - but $50??
Regardless of that, they could legitimately mark the package as a gift, as that's essentially what it is... that's the main issue for us foriegners - it's getting stuck at customs and incurring additional costs.

Krizzle

Hi Very high
@pakalolo Yes I would expect them to mark a package that technically is a gift as such. Or failing that fine, mark it as merchandise or whatever they need too but mark it at a correct $10-15 as that's all the piece would of cost. Bearing in mind this piece would of also cost a lot less to post than what I paid. I expect a legitimate/reputable company not to be marking up the value of items to $50. This is not a true value and is wrong pure and simple and appears to have been done to all us international customers. I am not too bothered about picking up a VAPORBLUNT branded package I'm bothered about paying the extra money which could be used to nearly buy one of the new Gongs outright. The fact that the company takes no notice of emails after me requesting twice and getting confirmed twice all packages sent from VB are marked CW tech. Wrong again. Very disappointed with all of this as are many others on this forum. I understand what your saying pakalo I really do, but what's happening here is wrong.

A new forum member here. I will be receiving my first vaporizer today. A PnP. I ordered it prior to reading about the issues addressed here, and contiplated canceling my order. However, I decided that I would give it a go.
I work with fabrication and engineering of metal parts, and will approach my new unit with an eye for engineering, and use the information from others to try and spot weak points and solutions.
My normal desire would be to take it home and give it a run, but I'm intrigued with possible solutions, and have decided to keep the unit unused until I can troubleshoot the known areas of failure and possible solutions. While I'm not crazy about the outlay of funds for a unit that may fail early on, I must say, the problem solving aspect is quite enticing. Will post any thoughts as I attempt to sort.
In the mean time, I will have to rely on the burn...

Dude why not use it unless you plan on returning it? Ive had mine for over a month and use it often without any issues. Take it out and give a whirl!!! Just don't go past 3 and you should be fine.

Oh, I will! But, just want to spend a little time understanding the workings and potential "upgrades". I can't keep my " Dexter's Lab" brain from trying to improve some areas, and have many tools and years of experience in fabrication at my disposal. However, the desire to give it a run around the block is very strong!

Many months ago I complained about the indiscreet return address, and @TherealVaporblunt said he would make sure it changes. I guess that never happened. How hard would it be to register another dba or use an acronym? Just tell ups or whoever the account is with to change it, if usps just change the label in house.

When I received my temporary replacement gong just recently it said VaporBlunt on the package. Most online vape stores use initials for the store or a different name on the package. I'm not quite as paranoid as I used to be. I live in WA state.

I've almost lost this gong a few times and have dropped it thank goodness it hasn't broken yet, it's so wobbly. I like the flavor. It has a tighter draw, which I like too. The original mouthpiece IMO has too easy of a draw.

I wanted to chime in with some feed back on more field test with the PNP. I took it along with me to an indoor show which KRS ONE was performing and thought this was a great chance to us in a public place with little worry of anyone caring if they caught a wiff of the herb. Over all it went really well I was with 3 other friends I took 4 packed bullets in my 6 holder we used it 3 times during the show shared with some fellow KRS fans. Everyone including myself was once again impressed with this unit. I was a little worried that if it got passed around too much someone would slip in there pocket and that would be that so i didn't offer it up too many times but those that did immediately asked how much and where i got it. Its always good to receive positive feed back on this vape from nonvaping heads that reassures me that im not biases to this unit only because i paid for it. Its coming up on 2 months of daily use and no problems. I say daily but sometimes ill got 3 or 4 days where i just use one bullet a day so its not heavy use. Some days when out with friends we use it until it dyes those days i consider that heavy use.

I was wondering if anyone could post some pictures of these gongs they are sending out. I have my home made glass mouth piece but i would like to maybe get the gong to use with the water tool.

Just find a way to add a simple locking mechanism to the PonG and people will line up to buy it. The plastic PonG is so grippy in glass joints that using it with traditional down-entry glass involves ripping the PonG off the Pinnacle when you try to pull it to clear, most of the time, and the bullet falling out and spilling everywhere because it doesn't have a cap. I can't believe they're going through all the design cost and effort to make a glass-lined one and not adding some kind of press-lock clip or something that will actually hold the top securely in place in your pocket, or when lifting it from a piece. Nothing like a pocket full of needlessly-spilled plant material...

Another thing you could do is make a screen cap for the bullet, or a whole new bullet design that has a screen cap. Means you wouldn't even need the bullet holder accessory they make, and that thing's not air tight so there's not a lot of point to it anyway. Plus you could drop such bullets without losing the load, pre-pack them and carry loose in your pocket, etc. There's no point to having a modular loading chamber if it's not fully modular, like the current design.

My TRVB glass came from "CCW Mobil Technolgies" (sic). Can't that also be a return address?

The gong is just a temporary fix in a month or so VB will be coming out, they say with a more permanent gong. I hope it is more sturdy than the plastic or the glass gong. When using a WT nobody likes accidents. I have broken 2 WT over the last 6 months.

I was referring to the "Engineering GonG", which I believe is what you mean? The one that, according to the rendering we've seen, is basically just a regular PonG but with a glass liner?

Folks have posted pics of the gong being sent by VB it has a o ring where it fits into the Pnp. I had sent my plastic pong in some weeks ago, maybe as long as a month, I can't remember. I didn't have any melting.

It costs me less than $4 to ship to VB by USPS. I put it in a large envelope. VB address is on their website. I did use a little padding of bubble wrap. I had emailed and said it was on the way.

Of course im down with BDP, not to sure what BBP is tho?
It was an awesome show I was able to squeeze right up front probably 200 people or less in the venue but it was bumping, felt like I took a step back to the 90's golden age. I'm 24 so its insane to see a huge inspiration of mine who was dropping albums before I was even born playing live in my city at a small venue. He played all the classic and was free styling a lot, and spit a long one into this chicks camera beside us who gave him a flyer to free style about. She must have filmed the whole show for her own pleasure I think cuz its not on youtube yet haha. but krs along with the local opening emcees and djs just rocked it couldn't have been more fun. I found some videos of him from before the show that night in a local coffee shop dropping knowledge on the mic about quantum physics and signing stuff wise I knew about that hidden secret gem haha. but to see the underground still alive and well always fills my soul with hope that for what all of this independent stuff stands for and works so hard to do. I happen to catch Immortal Technique a few months prier to that show. Someone in Pittsburgh is trying to keep the underground alive, and just yesterday I found out the wailers are coming thru with a home town favorite rusted root. Now if only ziggy stephen or damian would do vox for the wailers haha.

I finally received my Vaporblunt replacement glass mouthpiece yesterday after requesting one on the 11th March. I had to repeatedly email them to get some action, they immediately took my money, but then no response. It was a little frustrating with the lack of communication, they answered approx 50% of my emails. It does seem a little hit and miss :bang:

The GonG turned up well packaged with Vaporblunt/Vaporiser Accessory/$50 value all over it! Somehow I never got any additional charges by customs :).

Anyway, I used the GonG for the first time last night. Here are my first impressions...

(My daily driver is the adjust-a-bowl GonG with the @BarnBoy nipple mod, so comparisons will be made with this.)

It's very short, nice and stealthly!
With the o-ring fitted in the groove it fits very well into the PNP. I'm very pleased with the fit, and my PNP has the cracking issues. Plenty of spare o-rings are supplied.
No screen, with a small restriction at the bottom.
Even though the length of the glass airway is shorter, the vapour is still nice and cool and better tasting (compared to the PonG). I think the restriction helps with this.
I always use a thin layer of organic cotton as a filter on top of the bullet, so I never bothered putting a screen in the GonG. It worked very well, no debris sucked up into the GonG.
I added the @BarnBoy nipple mod for added security. It fits well, and looks good. The silicone nipple reaches the bottom of the tapered end of the GonG. It looks like it was made for it!

Now I am having a problem choosing between which GonG to use! It's also nice to have a backup.

Thanks @TherealVaporblunt for this interim solution, it works very well, and it is a big improvement over the PES mouthpieces ;).

BBP stands for Barn Boy Productions!

I wish that I was there at the show.

Post the link to the chick's KRS freestyle vid if you ever end up getting your hands on it.

I caught a show with KRS, Jeru, Beatnuts, DJ Honda back in the day.

The underground is thriving... thankfully.

Glad to hear you're supporting the real.

I caught Immortal Technique and JMT live too.

I recently went to a Pete Rock and CL, and a Ras Charmer show where I brought my Pinnacle Pro to.

At the Pete Rock show, we held down one end of the bar, and the bartender let me plug my charger into the power bar so we were ripping the PNP all night.

I know there is a show coming up at a venue that isn't that herb friendly, so I'm definitely going to implement @BarnBoy 's suggestion and drop some e-juice to mask the smell.

The best thing about the PNP is because of the slender profile, people automatically assume that it is an e-cig!!!

I apologize for trying to rehash something. I thought there was a suggestion to use a 3/4 stainless screen as a spacer but I'm not even sure it was this thread now...

If it was this thread, does it go below the bullet or in the bullet? My Massdrop PnP should arrive this week and I'm starting to try to prep. Still haven't actually seen a PnP, so I can't visualize this all that well.

Mr Mellish,

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Help/advice requested:

Tried a search for this problem, but phrasing is key and I guess I didn't have the key.

Just got my Pro on Friday and it worked fine yesterday until the evening. I unplugged it (showed all blue bars indicating charge). But when I turned it on all I got was like a christmas tree display of blue lights for about 10 seconds and then it shut down.

If I leave it plugged in it works fine. I tried starting the cycle at stage two (green) while it was plugged in. When it got up to temp I unplugged it and the blue lights immediately started flashing. And a few seconds later it shut down. Plugged it in and it showed fully charged, but ran through the blue lights a couple of times before stopping on full blue.

Thoughts?

So last nite i used my pnp with just the pong and everything was great. After jus one cycle i was emptying my bullet when i saw a piece of plastic broken off in the bullet. So even using this straight up the pong cracks. The plastic cant take the heat of this unit they need a better solution i love my pnp but this is crazy.
