Discontinued Pinnacle Pro

I have been using my Pro at levels 4 and 5 daily and the only visible imperfection that exists is the mold line on the back running perfectly straight top to bottom. It doesn't grow or shrink during a session. Spontaneous cracks sound like manufacturing defects, but I imagine it would be hard to prove.

I have a noob question for you guys..what is the difference between the pinnacle pro and the pinnacle pro DLX..i am hoping it is the fact that the pro DLX comes with a water tool. please help. gotvape.net has a 25% off code that is good on pinnacle pro..brings it down to 170bucks.

Your assumption is correct. DLX includes the water tool, which IMO is necessary to use the Pro at temps 3 and up.

If you're using a hydratube that fits natively to the Cloud, you'll need an 18mm to 14mm adapter. The 14mm end needs to be female (to accept the PonG) & the 18mm end male (to insert into the hydratube).
You can easily grab an adapter from ALT or ioffer.

@Pinnacle Pro, although my PNP cracked I haven't seen enough complaints to think it's a manufacturing defect. I did carry it rolled up in a towel once in my backpack, other than that it stays locked in my office, so who knows? I'm now inclined to believe the outer sleeve can crack rather easily so I'll probably just glue it if I can find something safe (I just emailed vaporblunt to see if they have any recommendations based on the photos I'd sent).

i am curious...is there anyone that has used both the ascent and pinnacle. They both have their pros and cons..they both are quality...i am going to buy both..just wanted someones personal viewpoint on them both. I am a vapor fanatic and collector.

I have both. Ascent is the wife's, the PN Pro is mine. I truly love the Ascent and would honestly have a hard time choosing between them. But the wife thought the vapor was too warm from the PN (didn't have the water too yet), and she loved the taste of the Ascent and the sipping technique with small loads works well for her.

The PN is easier to load for me, and I'm constantly on-the-go, so the PN is the best portable out of the two. They both work extremely well, but I'm happy with mine being the PN because of my frequent travel and the water tool is awesome. The taste on the Ascent is amazing though.

The only downsides I've found to the PNP are poor taste & efficency compared to my desktop vapes, which generally rules out home use for me. I havent followed the Ascent thread recently but if they fixed their issues they are too late to the party for me. Vaporblunt presence & love for FC members made me want to be a customer. I'm hoping the next Pinnacle portable will have a glass vapor path even if temp cant go as high as the PNP. Until then I'm more than satisfied with my PNP.

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
Hmmmmmmmmm menz it show ya how we all have diff tastes. I hated the ascent I tried. I grab for the solo first most of the time and the reg pn or whatever else is around second if I don't grab the vip2 with my wax. BTW @Mister G I do often do different vapes one after another since you asked menz and thought you were being funny well in my case hehe I do it:lol:.

fwiw, this is by far my favorite portable for vaping hemp/cotton ball filters from use in other vapes. that shit can pack quite a punch, too, and allows me to carry a right cross to the face in my pocket.

@ stickstones,

Can you please provide some insight as to the way you find best for using cotton in the PNP?

Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

I'm imagining just a thin layer of cotton at the top of the loaded bullet and even placing a small metal mesh screen on top of the cotton so I don't gum up and allow cotton to stick to the MP or Pong screen. Maybe overkill... but for some reason, steps that can make my experience better becomes more of a ritual than a task.

Hey folks, it's been awhile, and this video is long overdue. My apologies to @TherealVaporblunt for taking so long. It's just a short video, giving a demo of the kind of vapor I am getting at level 4 and using a DLX water tube. This is still my favourite portable, and the water tube is very well built and alot of fun to use. Due to it's larger size, you really have to be at level 4 or 5 to pack a good punch through the DLX sized tubes. If you are not a fan of large volume, then the mini tube is probably a better bet.

@Luv2Vape -- play with your grind and pack (sounds like fun, right?), as I didn't find the PN to be less efficient than my other units. I actually find it to be rather efficient.

@Tweek -- nice production...beautiful video!

@Sativape -- I use hemp/cotton as a filter in my desktop vapes and they collect oil. When they get to the right consistency I pull the filter out and vape it. I can vape these filters in just about any vape, but they work best in the PNP, imo. It packs a serious punch that I can't get from just herb and when out and about I don't technically have any weed on me. All I have is what looks like a big e-cig with some oil-soaked cotton in it. It's a great combo.

on another note, the battery in this unit is proving to be better than my others at holding a charge when not in use. After five days in the drawer my Ascent was drained, but the PNP still had a full charge.

for those of you trying to compare and decide between the PNP, Ascent and Solo, here's what I think. I'm not a conduction vape fan because I don't like to sip my vape, I prefer convection vapes that allow me to get a full suck hit...it's just easier and requires very little technique and is easier for sharing with newbies. That being said, I reach for the Solo when stealth is not an issue...it's simply a badass little vape. I prefer it to the Ascent and its conduction heating. When stealth is an issue, I reach for the PNP first, even over my mflb with its conduction heating. If I had to whittle my collection down to just two portables, it would be the Solo and the PNP.

that being said, there is a portion of the vape market that has sensitive throats when it comes to hot vapor. I fall into this category a little bit. in this area, the Ascent is very nice. I can turn it up all the way and not get irritated, but that has more to do with its not having very good heat retention. the PNP is a little hotter/harsher, especially at the higher temps that I'm not sure the Ascent is reaching, but I prefer the hit style more. also, if it is too harsh for you, you can always add a little silicone tubing to lengthen the vapor path to cool the vapor a little bit more and not look any less stealth than the Ascent with its extended mouthpiece.

all three of these vapes have their pros and cons, but the PNP is undeniably the most stealth of them all.

Thank you for the information regarding the cotton use and the comparisons to the other portables.

This is very useful.

I had another session with my PNP yesterday. After sitting idle for a few days, I turned it on, and was pleased to see the full charge indicated.

Pre-heating (to level 2) then loading the bullet helped as did the puffing mouthfuls technique MileHighLife recommended.

Sativape, I tried to add a cotton filter in order to smoothen the hit (and to keep the mp cleaner). I just added a thin layer of cotton on top of my bullet (but not too full - up to the flange). Unfortunately, this made a mess of the mp and PONG screen as bits of sticky, weedy cotton stuck to it. I don't think a cotton filter will work with the PNP unless there's yet another screen (NO2) on top or the filter is compressed down (hindering the effectiveness of the filter). I think adding a filter and screen might just be too fiddly, too many bits for my tastes. Has anyone had success with a cotton filter in their PNP? I may opt for tubing extension instead.

I also tried my PNWT (level 2 and 3) and really enjoyed that. Quite effective for such a small volume.

Again, this little vape got me very nicely medicated.

@stickstones Do you use the FMJ with the soaked cotton ball or the regular bullet? I don't really use a filter but this makes me want to.. The FMJ with actual liquid inside doesn't really work too well for me, its kind of wispy and I always have to worry about not tipping it ect.. So I haven't used it at all except one time to test it. But it would be great to just dab oil onto a piece of cotton and toss it in worry free..

Regarding the PNP holding a great charge..I left my PNP in the car during work in some pretty cold weather and the battery wasnt affected like my Pax would be.. so that is a plus.
