A little off of the current thread topic, but has anyone used the full metal jacket to vape pressed kief? I just made some using the hot iron method and was curious to see if anyone else has tried it. I've seen people use oils and some gummier-types of hash and such, but not pressed kief.
Would I be better off just sandwiching some flakes of it into the bullet with herbs?

I don't know about pressed, but I use loose kief between flowers (sandwich style) in the regular bullet all the time. I tried loose kief in the FMJ once and it did not draw well and just made a sludge in the bottom of it, so I've never tried it again and don't use the FMJ at all.

I was wondering about that as well . . . what the leftovers from the vaped "hash" would be. Maybe I'm better off not even using the FMJ. I guess I'll have to experiment a little bit tonight and let you guys know how it worked out.
I'm pretty excited . . . it smells amazing! Very fruity with a bit of sourness. It was made using kief from Sour Diesel, Sour Kush (headband), Tangerine Dream, and Blue Dream. The tangerine-ish smell is very prominent, and makes my mouth water.

Kief needs more convection to vape well, conduction heat turns it to sludge whereas convection in the bullet converts it to a drier powder IME. I think the FMJ would work better with liquidy concentrates rather than hard kief (I've never tried wax so don't know about that). I find the kief makes the bullet last a lot longer and the clouds can be denser. I have also lately been emptying my PnP ABV into my Infinity bowl and getting another 1 or 2 hits out of it. You might want to try that in your EQ too.
You may also want to consider adding a screen to the top of the bullet to keep your MP screen cleaner better filter the kief. I use a trimmed Vapir NO2 screen. A lot of people here add additional screen on top.
Use it right and the PnP can blow you away, it is powerful despite its size.

I tried a load of kief in the FMJ and like @Mister G stated it turned into a hashy sludge, I scraped it out and broke it up a bit and put it back in the FMJ, still small wispy clouds on high temps but awesome flavor through the WT.
Does your FMJ have one groove or two? Looking on Vapefiends website it shows the FMJ having two grooves so wondering if this is an improved airflow design?
What puts me off using the FMJ and the high temps is the previous issues mentioned in the thread or am I being too paranoid?
I use a screen on top of each bullet but have now removed the screen from my PonG, its always used with the WT so no way ill get bits in my mouth, granted the WT may get dirtier faster. Anyone else remove there screens or am I doing something wrong with this?

I tried using a Solo ring on my pinnacle with the adjust-a-bowl glass but alas too big! I am anxiously awaiting the Gong solution from @Engineering and hoping this will eliminate any future plastic heat issues

I'd much rather he felt he was able to post here because what he says is perfectly easy to understand.
-5 hour time difference. so 9Pm GMT = 4Pm EST. Even taking into account BST one of those times she should of been available.
Also I left messages both times, so I should of been phoned back. I'm not bothered about it or anything; I'm sure I'll receive my PonG in good time just relaying my experience.

Just pulled the plug and purchased with the hydrotube. I'm a long time Solo user/fanboy (along with the PVHES - Planet Vape High Efficiency Stems) but wanted something a bit more portable and without a glass stem. My Pax doesn't blow me away. Went with the Pinnacle Pro (bought directly from the VaporBlunt site) while waiting for this one (check out the clouds on YouTube). If this thing works for $99 bucks, I'll do cartwheels in the street.

Is your unit plugged into the charger? Try turning your unit off then back on. If it's not plugged into the charger plug it in. It maybe a faulty unit if you continue to have problems.Does anyone know what I can do about heating errors?

You may need to contact the company that you bought it from. My first Pnp did that. VB sent me a new one right away, it took a total of 2 weeks turnaround time. It really is a bummer. Good luck with that.

So, given that I am selling my PNP with custom GonG to a friend the day after tomorrow, I think here's a good place to give my final thoughts on the product. Basically, I am a heavier more constant user of flowers/oils than this product can accommodate. I came from 25-30 joints of combustion a day for 5 years, this didn't give me the readily accessible and constant clouds that I need from a vape to keep me from reverting to old ways. Please keep this in mind when reading my review, you may be a much more moderate user!
Here's a brief summary of my experience with my unit:
Pros:
- As discreet looking as a vape gets IME
- Main unit has great design (lightweight, I imagine it would resist drops/bumps well)
- The preset heat settings largely hit the mark, would have been nice to have a lower temperature setting but all in all can't complain here!
- Flower bullet design is incredible, great way to load the unit
- TRVB did well bringing a couple of solutions to the PonG issue
- Flowers and oils vape equally well in this unit, provided oils are loaded properly
Cons:
- Cannot deliver huge, constant milk/big hits with glass
- Plastic mouthpiece tips melt into plastic mouthpiece base (which hasn't melted in my use, just the tip [/Archer])
- PonGs have all melted on me, PC and PES alike, 3 of them
- Plastic gives a bearable, but unmistakable unpleasant taste to the vapor, the GonG I made really changed this in a big way and I'm sure replacements will too
- PonG heats up much more than GonG did. I could use setting 5 dry direct from the GonG but 3 through the PonG was harsh and hot! Ouch!
- Unit has a relatively fast warm-up time to other battery units, but for my usage case, simply took too long to be ready on the go
- Unit is very smelly when heating up. Definitely not discrete in practice for this reason!
- Concentrate bullet was useless with my preferred QWISO oil, too much draw resistance, hardly any vapors, took ages!
- Accessories were very expensive when compared with the other vapes I have owned.
All in all, I think the PNP would be ideal for a more moderate herb user than I, who prefers to pace themselves and doesn't want huge lung busting hits. It is great for herbs and oils alike, but not using the FMJ bullet. Stick to the flower bullet and mix your oils well with herb, dicing the two finely together and laying a bed of herb at the bottom of the bullet filling the mesh screen. Get a GonG, do not use the plastic. I know there are people have not had the problem with their plastic, but melting has simply happened too often to risk in my view. There is a free GonG upgrade from TRVB. Use it!
Not much else I think I can add here. This would be a capable vape for many usage cases, just not mine unfortunately!

Sorry to hear about this dude. Curious to see the damage any chance you can upload a picture? Had my pro same length of time as yourself but only used the mouth piece a couple of times and only settings 1-2. Rarely use setting 3 but always with the pong and WT.

damn, that sucks.. you're using the mouthpiece right? I figured out by chance that the little tip piece you can extend the mouthpiece with is made of PC, the crap they made the first mouthpieces and pongs from (i have 1 of each.. really gotta get on that..) which is prone to melting
However, I can use my friends thick-walled PES mouthpiece up to level 3 with no problem (gave him my wooden mouthpiece for the PonG)

Hello everyone. Been reading this entire thread and I must say you guys and gals are very knowledgeable!! Just registered today. I've had my PNP about a month now and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! Before that, I was a moderate combuster for over 1/2 my life. I would smoke a bowl in the a.m. before work, a few puffs off the one hitter at lunch, then a bowl or two at night. Weekends of course more more more!!! Now that I have my PNP I find I get crushed by one bullet. I smoke when I first get up (5:30) so when I leave for wrk around 7:30 I'm leveled out. It is such a great tool. I would love for the warm up time to be shorter and the time it stays on to be longer, but oh well, not a deal breaker. I got the device and most of my access. from theyoyokid1...best prices and fast, free shipping. I can't believe how fast it shipped to MA. I do have my medical marijuana license, as I live in MA. We are currently waiting on the dispensaries to open this summer!! My company just got bought out and when I failed the drug test I was sure I would lose my sales job of 9 years. The fact that I came forward to the new HR lady and told her I had my license and had all sorts of documentation....my job was SAVED!!! Talk about heart in your throat moment!! I had a lawyer and would have sued for wrongful termination, as I have a perfect work record, but it could have gone either way. I currently have a caregiver that grows his own crops of many different strains. All of them are very powerful and help my pain and anxiety. He told me he can get me good deals on equipment and some cuttings so I can start to grow my own stuff too. That would be amazing!!! He is very knowledgeable on growing,, THC, CBD, etc. For my bullets, I only use herb, no oils. I pack it and then tap it with my fingers and then add more so it's level with the top of the bullet. I am going to try sandwiching some of my lovely kief in between like I read here. I only use setting 1, so I haven't experienced any of the melting issues (yet) that others have written about here. I get good vapor on that setting and have no issues to report. I do anxiously await the glass Pong and will probably get a few when they come out to the public I did find my mp would get quite sticky after a few uses, so now I've done what others suggest and add a 3/8 screen on top of the bullet. I go through one a day typically. This keeps the screen in the pong from getting too corroded. I clean after each use, using the brushes that came with the device to keep the screen clean. I also like the Vapir No2 brushes, as they are a little softer for cleaning the inside, which only has a few particles in it on occasion. I have used alcohol wipes on the mouthpiece and then rinse with hot water. No issues as of yet. I tried to smoke a bowl for the hell of it the other day, and it tasted really funny. Not at all like my wonderful stuff, more like a dirt taste. Has anyone else had this experience since they started vaping? If so, why does that happen? Am I spoiled now and can't smoke a bowl or joint ever again?

The incineration/combustion of plant matter definitely adds the taste of smoke (soot/ash).
For me, smoking a spliff tastes horrible.
I was in love with it for over 20 years.
Up until a year ago, I was still taking a few draws off of spliffs about once a month when I was out with friends.
During one of my last spliff sessions, I've noticed, even with just a couple drags, my heart rate almost doubled vs nothing when I'm vaping.
Since, I had my PN OG, I just pull this out during the sessions (along with other vapors)... and the smokers and vapors just stare and look at each other and think "you guys are f'd up".
I'm happy to say that more and more people around me have converted to vaping.
Following on in the tradition of personal mods in this forum, here is my take on the PNP GonG, while we are waiting for VaporBlunt to release the new glass MP's/GonG's.
I ordered the ADJUST-A-BOWL E-NANO GONG
I had a problem finding a cone washer like @BarnBoy . I tried a few DIY stores with no luck, so I went to a local trade plumbing wholesaler and he came up with the cone washer you see below. It is in fact a rubber seal for HEP2O fittings. The o-ring was from a pack of assorted small o-rings.
I modified my original PonG by hacksawing off the tapered end, and then using a half-round needle file, filed out the centre until the inner part of the PonG was removed. It takes a little longer to do it this way, but you don't need a dremel, and you are less likely to damage the retaining lugs inside (as others have done accidentally).
I have since moved the adjustable mesh screen in the GonG right down to the bottom, so it is touching the top of the bullet. No more bullet rattle! I have always topped my bullets with a small cotton ball to reduce the chance of the contents sticking to the GonG/PonG/MP screen.
Observations....as @BarnBoy pointed out, the draw is a little harder. I think it seals better than the original PonG, and/or the original PonG leaks a little. The vapour is much smoother and cooler. The glass doesn't heat up as much as the PES which is good, and the modified PonG seems cooler than before.
I am really happy with this setup at the moment. It's pretty stable, but not sure if I would use it with the WT if I was passing it around.
@mack7one I had the same problem with the MP tip. I got replacement ones, in a pack of 4. They seem noticeably different from the original tips. For a start they are white/opaque, and they are made of a different material. They feel slightly waxy, I'm not sure what material they are made out of, maybe they are designed for higher temperatures.
@Sativape I instantly converted a combusting friend when I took my PNP around to his. At first he said he wasn't getting a hit, but it crept up on him (plus he wasn't getting the baccy hit). One bullet is enough for him for the night, and he normally calls me a lightweight!
