Pinnacle pro or DaVinci Ascent?

Hello, this is my first post here; I've had a MFLB for the past year or so and have loved it, but the small batteries have always been a major draw back for me, and having to explain how to use it to my skeptical friends gets irritating. To make a long story short I am in the market for a new portable, price isn't an issue to me right now; I have done quite a bit of research and narrowed my choices down to the Pinnacle pro or the DaVinci ascent. I would mainly be using the vape for flowers, and stealth is of moderate concern but won't make or break my decision; the main thing I am concerned with is durability as I will be bringing this skiing and hiking often. Does anyone out there own/has used both of these and have a recommendation on which is better? Sorry if this has been answered already, I searched for a while and couldn't find anything that answered this.

I haven't owned an ascent but I have used one. And I currently own the pinnacle pro (with water tool). And here's what I've found out in my experience with them

1. Taste - ascent has a slightly better taste than pinnacle pro but this is due to all glass vapor path. But you can now send your plastic mouthpiece into vaporblunt and the water tool pong (if you get the attachment) for glass ones.

2. They both are fairly discrete and fit in your pocket quite well.

3. Ease of use- another close one, pinnacle pro only has one button operation, find your favorite temp setting and use it. Ascent, you have more options where to set it. Other words it's more high tech.

4. Type of heat- from my use of it, the ascent has more conduction heat which has more chance of combustion while the PnP is more convection heat.

Having a pinnacle pro obviously ill say it's better. I mean who wants to admit someone else's is better. There are those problems of the PnP cracking and breaking, but me personally have had no problems with it and I personally found that level 2 does the best work for me. And from the many times I've used the PnP and ascent I really do think I like the pinnacle more. In my opinion it's easier and gets me to the levels I wanna be better than the ascent. The water tool is must get for home use. Really improves flavor for it. Most likely you'll like both, but I just like to reiterate the fact I'm absolutely in love with my PnP. No problems and I've ordered the glass adapter and mouthpiece. My favorite portable I've ever used.

Hope this helps:tup:

Why not an Inhalater Xp or the new inh 005 (coming soon)? This is a more stealthy unit, easy to clean, easy to load, good battery, efficient, taste is not the better but if you stay beyond 6 it's pretty nice!

I never try the PNP but it don't appeal me at all (bad design, too much plastic), I considered to get the Ascent before it cames out, but it seems that there is too much bad units and a little bit difficult to load (with glass beads...), not really stealth, breakable part but when it works it seems to taste good!

Jump on the Inhalater! (I have any interest I just like this device!)

I just checked out the inhalater and think I may end up going with that, for what I want it looks perfect; only problem is I can't seem to find anywhere other than ebay that has them right now.

For all those of you suggesting the solo, I have looked into it but it just seems far to bulky to be practically carried with me on a daily basis.

Between these two, I would, reluctantly, go Ascent.

A little bulkier than ideal for a portable, but it can be a really nice vape to use, when it's working. I've had to send mine back three times (I'm on my fourth), and many have had to send it back at least once or twice. I'd say it's still a bit of a gamble.

Good battery life, quick heat-up, decent durability, looks nice, and you don't actually need those glass flowers. I get great results without them and find them a pain in the ass to use, although they do work. I just pat my material down really well and that's all it takes for me, so long as you inhale slowly and gently, just sip at it.

I don't know if I've become more sensitive to silicone, but this fourth Ascent I have now just doesn't do it for me like it used to, flavor-wise. Either I'm more sensitive, or the taste of the Firefly is just that much better, which is weird because I used to think the Ascent had better flavor.

I've only used the PnP once, and I did not care for the look, feel, or taste. My apologies to any PnP fans.

I'd suggest the Firefly to you, but if you find the Solo too bulky, you'll find the FF too bulky too, I bet.

I'd look into the Lotus (or Hammer?) as well and see if a flame-based port might be right for you.

Or maybe the Pax?

In case anyone was wondering, I ended up going with the pax; not really what I wanted to begin with since I was thinking of something that could handle concentrates as well. But the idea of skiing with a plastic vape or something with glass parts made me a little nervous and decided to leave the concentrates for home use.

If I had a choice between the Ascent or the Pinnacle Pro? I'd go with the Solo. Sorry the Solo is tried and true. I have all three units. I'm a little nervous about the new model Solo because there has been some faulty units lately. Arizer has upgraded the Solo and there are some bugs to work out.
