Got my vinyl wrap from DX last week. Wrapped up my cobalt pax in black carbon fibre (faux)
and off to the races. The Pax does not get so hot as to warrant any concern for me, at least so far.
will post pics later today....

its been mentioned before, shipping from DX will take awhile (at least 6 weeks ), but still not bad for a $4 sheet of vinyl wrap.
Can we see pix of your pax? ;)

So I did a test before trying out my luby from Pax. I would not suggest leaving your Pax uncleaned for more then 2 weeks EVER. (Moderate to heavy users apply)

I did a thorough cleaning this weekend and I'm still having problems with built in resin by the spring area surfacing after a few uses. It got to the point where the MP was coming out like a snail, and the blowing into the MP trick WOULD NOT WORK!!!

I might have to go in for another cleaning because even with the luby I can see new resin forming on the vapor tube. So just a heads up thinking Plooms luby will solve your lazy problems. Not true. The motto still goes 'A clean Pax is a happy Pax.'

Hi,
Good morning.
I just picked up my brand new PAX from the Post Office and after removing the mouth piece to apply
lubicant I noticed they come with some applied to them from factory, I tried to put it down all the way down to charge the battery but it won't stay down. After close inspection I assumed there was a missing O ring on one of the grooves but the pictures in vaporpedia don't show such thing.
So my question is this: is the metal stem in the vaporpedia pictures the way they are supposed to look, or are they missing someting else. The new one looks exacly like the one I received.
Does anybody think I received a complete but faulty mouth piece and that is the reason it wont stay down?
Thank you for your help.

We're here to fuck shit up.
Push the mouthpiece down until you hear one click. Pushing it all the way down causes it to pop back up. Gentle with the closing of the mouthpiece.

So to people using some high quality herbs, how long does your pax continue to function as normal before you notice any abnormalities that let you know its time to clean?

If i could get away with cleaning it once or even twice a week it wouldn't be a problem for me at all.

Dont mess with not cleaning your Pax. I just did a 2 week non cleaning test and my Pax is tore up right now, even after a cleaning. Once a week is fine, twice a week if you have time is even better though. Avoid real moist herb though because youll be caked up real quick.

The most I did was use it more than normal to do some battery testing, 6 full batteries and it didnt need cleaning, still worked fine. Im not sure how many packs that would equal, probably about 30-35 (about 5 or 6 packs a full charge)

I clean mine 1 time a week and it barely needs it then. I use it for 4-5 sessions everyday. Never had a single problem with mine.

VaPeD&CoNfUsEd,
I started out cleaning after every session, then went every 2-3 sessions, and now am at about every 5-6 sessions, which seems to be working just fine so far with the lube.

Mestizo, make sure you're pushing down on the same side of the mouthpiece as the metal stem. It seats and unseats much more securely that way than if you're pushing on the middle or on the opposite side of the stem.

So brand new Pax's require the lube to the mouthpiece? I was under the impression this was something in the older style mouth pieces? I just got my Pax last week and I didn't see any lubricant in the package. Only cleaning supplies, the Pax, and a manual. Do I need to lube it up too when I clean?

You need to request some, and only if you're running into problems. Some people dont run into them.

Mr.Krinkle,
The "new" mouthpiece did improve upon the problem that was rampant with the old mouthpiece, but it didn't fix the problem. In my experience, you can get by without the lube as long as you keep your Pax nice and clean, but the lube still helps. I went almost three months without using it at all, but I did experience the temp-light issue a couple times. I found it easy to resolve, though. My decision to ask for and use the lube really just boiled down to convenience.

So i just got and tried out my new pax for the first time, and after having read and watched so many reviews i thought it was going to be worse than it actually is.

Let me reiterate, my pax is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

I had no problems hitting the pax slow, quickly, mini puffs, and got very large vapor clouds with no real effort, i do not see how others failed to get good vapor production.

The pax heated up just as quickly as expected, was much easier to use than smoking out of any medium.

I also had heard that the pax oven was large and could be inefficient, in my experience for the amount of material i put in, the amount of vapor i get out is incredible, and much more efficient than any smoking method i have tried.

In my situation i can see the efficiency of my material usage going way up.

I'll see if my experience continues the way it has been, because so far the pax is perfect.

Yeah you can't press down too hard or it will just pop back up.

I have had this for a week now and I truly enjoy it. It's a high end piece of equipment so obviously if it gets dirty with all that nasty resin, it's not going to work very well. I try to clean it after 2-3 uses.

Also I contacted Plume and they sent me a new mouth piece with two packets of the lube. When I compare the new MP with the one from the box they look identical.

Don't do like I did today and forget you have lube on the mouthpiece tube and stick it in your mouth to blow on it, like you used to. Otherwise, you will get a mouthful of bitter lube.

Ploom is shipping all new pax's lubricated and two packs of lube in every box, I guess is a new company policy that's what Lorenzo told me in an email.

hahah yea it truely is terrible. Its what I imagine that bitter apple crap to taste like that you put on your furniture for dogs. Thats why I was worried about too much in the tube after frequent use with out cleaning. someone will vape that lube at some point accidently haha
-Side note on pax 3 update! So after some confusion I got the tracking number for my pax, it had a bunch of goodies in with it on the invoice :) Replacement lid, extra mouthpiece, extra cleaning kit, and hopefully a bunch more stickers/magnets hahah- and I hope I get a shirt. I think I'd rather have the shirt then all the extra parts  wasnt on the invoice tho:\.

Congrats man...May I ask, is this your first vape? How do you think it will serve as your only one, if so? How much material are you using when you fill the oven, how many draws? thanks. I have to make my final solution very soon and I'm still between the Pax and Solo...

You know, if there is one thing I can say about the Pax, is that it is awesome, and it is reliable. I haven't had any issues with it (other than the Temp Light due to cleaning). But as far as reliability, this is by far, one of the best in my opinion.

Ok, if i may...are you a heavy, moderate, light toker? how much material do you use daily with the Pax now? Is this more conservative than before the Pax? I know these questions have been answered before, but the more people confirm/deny the better I feel about having the whole story. My first vape will be my main driver for a while...
