Decisions, decisions! One comparison I can't seem to find is between the pax (or pax 2) and the vapium summit.
I would truly appreciate any input! These are a few of my thoughts so far -

Pax 1 - great design, 10 year warranty, price has gone down....no USB charging port though
Pax 2 - also looks like a great design, has USB charging but costly and hasn't been around long enough for reviews on longevity
Summit - 8 temperature settings, USB charging, small\discreet but not as sleek as the pax, I like the rugged look...like a swiss army knife meets a cape!

I've only used the original pax and I love the design but it gets REALLY hot..wish it had more temp options, plus it doesn't hold a charge for more than maybe an hour if that. I already own a Solo and love it! I'm looking for something even smaller to supplement.

Lwien - I really enjoy your honesty!!

I have the Summit, Pax, and Pax 2. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Overall the Pax is definitely more rugged than the Summit imo. The summit has an open usb charging port because the plastic cover will never stay put. The unit is also plastic compared to SS.

The summit is not a bad vape at $150, but if you are going to spend $200, you are much better off with the Pax (10yr warranty, bigger bowl, easier to pack) or the Alfa (bit more enjoyable to use, shorter warranty, less cleaning) Both the Pax and the Alfa taste better, and work better w/o stirring. (I prefer the Alfa a bit more than the Pax1, but the Pax1 warranty really nice)

Thanks for the speedy reply! How do you feel the Alfa compares to the Pax2?

I have not used the Alfa since before I left for Colorado since I have been testing the new vapes.

Until I get to use them side by side I don't want to compare them too much. But so far I feel like the Alfa is a bit better than the Pax1, but I prefer the Pax2 over the Alfa. I like how even the avb is from the Alfa, but i dont like packing/unpacking it, its a lot more cumbersome.

Thanks!! I may just pre-order the pax 2 since it is an improvement over the original plus has USB charging. The Alfa looks great too and it's made in Ireland! Does the Alfa get as warm\hot as the Pax or about the same? I've been reading great things about the Ascent...I like the glass component but it looks kind of cumbersome compared to these smaller units. Someone mentioned an Elevape too...I have to check that out but the PAX2 & Alfa are challenging enough to decide between.

I really enjoy reading your reviews and getting your input Buzz and Chain, and the community here
Is terrific! Can't thank you enough!! I welcome any input and if there are more suggestions, please let me know. Stealth is a priority, low smell, temp selection, temps that don't get so hot that they burn the product, warranty and of course price but you get what you pay for so I have flexibility there. :)

catjammin99,

Smell is mostly about keeping the vape clean and not exhaling a lot of vapor, and temp selection means burning the product would be your own fault. ;)

I keep my vapes clean lol...I just tend to vape at lower temps and some devices don't offer a range starting low enough. I use the solo at 4 or 5 typically.

Now I've been reading about the Grasshopper so there's another consideration! :hmm:
