What makes no sense? I am friends with people from nearly every race. I have a large group of black friends. Their not african americans, they are AMERICANS, and they will tell you that to your face. I don't go around claiming to be European-American, None of my arabic friends go around around claiming to be middle Eastern-American.

Look, I'm not on either side here but if Sharpton was white and doing this for white people he would be a pariah and probably locked up by now. He is nothing more than a drama whore and does nothing to further the cause he claims to support.

However, claiming that black culture grooms criminals is like saying asian culture breeds suicidal maniacs who can't drive. Poverty is what grooms criminals, and it is due to the lopsided society we live in that majority of the impoverished people are black, not because they are criminal because that's the way a black family works. Looking at it any other way is just adding to the issue really.
