Thanks man! Yeah, I was a fool and didn't weigh out my concentrate, it was around .75g or so and yeah, I overloaded the cart. It is clogged, I've tried clearing it with a pin and paperclip but it just reclogs, due to overloading. Are the EO carts expected to be disposable or do you re-use them?

@zor , they are meant to be disposable after 1 Gram. But I usually get to run at least 2 Grams thru. Once clogged, after UN-clogging, gotta cool it down good or yeah it'll clog right back up, plus you definitely got Too much in there. What you can do is this, turn it upside down over a suitable container & gently heat up the cartridge & let your concentrate flow out into said container to reclaim & try again. This is easily doable, as I've done it Many a time! With Great results! As long as u heat gently, you won't Burn your Oil & will preserve flavor. Hope I helped. Peace:rockon:

@ragnorokk or anyone else, are you guys using the 3.7v or the 7.4v AC donut in your HVD?

Anyone tried the 7.4v AC donut in an (older) HVD with the (2) 14250s?

You know, to respond to my previous question, I realize now that the 7.4v donut coils weren't even available when you wrote that ragnorokk. So turn I guess my follow up question is which donut coil will come with the AC kit, the 3.7 or the 7.4? And is there any chance of the 7.4v coil working with the older Omi HVD and the 2 14250s?

I received my order of a Kanger 2 tank and mixed up some THC ejuice last night (details in another thread). Used it on my Omicron v2For anyone else interested in this here is my experience so far:

The kanger 2 that w9 sells on their site holds ~2mL of ejuice, I made 3 and loaded it up very easily. No leaking, very straightforward loading. I operated it with the same short button presses as I would with the KISS cart and didn't get much of anything, so then I held it down and took a long slow draw, great success! I did manage to get some burnt tasting vapor when I heated the ejuice without drawing for a few seconds, but that was easily avoided once I figured out a better draw speed.

There is no weedy flavor, just that of the ejuice, the vapor production is very minimal, and I can take a few hits before effects settle in, and so this has become exactly what I wanted for stealth at shows and outings. I can't wait to use it this weekend!

I also am waiting to hear more about the 7.4v donut (I plan to buy it, I'm just waiting on a service issue; until its resolved, I'm waiting to finalize my order). I've been using the 3.7v, as that is standard in the AC box set. I have a love/hate relationship with the donut. It works great as a nail if you take out the wick. With the wick in, I get poor results. I'm told its supposed to be more for flavor that way, but without a 7.4v to compare it to, I can only say it makes tasty clouds without the wick and use of the wick seems to result in poor vapor production and lots of splatter, even using the core.

As for 2 little batteries, I find that it's too much power for a single coil, but perfect for the dual coil -- wish we both knew more about the 7.4v donut, but I haven't seen a single report about them on FC yet. I would anticipate it working on your older HVD top, but without one here to try, it's speculative.

Gary pointed out that use of the wick from the donut ON THE COIL BASED AC SKILLETS will give you a substantial boost in load capacity; if you do use it that way (might as well try, I thought it worked great on the dual, but was underwhelmed by performance on the single coil), just remember to also load between the coil and the wick, not just on top -- it will burn your oil that is on the coil before the oil at the top of the donut wick will melt, if under-saturated down there.

My Omicron arrived yesterday and I'm lovin it so far! Everything is much smoother and tastier than with my Source Orb. I'm still new to vaping concentrates but I'm very happy with this purchase! Here's a couple of pics.


Oh and a quick question. Is the Omicron 601 ego threaded or 601 mod threaded?

@Muletrane 601 mod. That red ano sure looks swanky. I stick with black and silver, but I always appreciate color ano from a distance.

Do you just make standard oil from flower and then this is ok to use on this device?
How well does rosin work?

Is this ok to fill and carry around for the day in a pocket or handbag for example, what is the likely hood of it leaking?

I don't own a vape pen yet but need something for convenience in the garden or out on walks etc.

Just grabbed a second Omicron. Wanted an HVD head for running at 7.4v and the sale today is great!

What batteries do you guys recommend for 7.4v and where did you get them? Didn't seem to be any available on the W9 tech.

Is the HVD-V2 capable of powering the dual coil Kiss AC carts at 3.7v? Just tried my new black Omicron and it didn't really produce vapor the oil just heated a bit and slid off the coil.

Still trying to find someplace to buy 14250 batteries so I can run the new Omicron at 7.4v. Sadly that damn mtnelectronics.com Paypal checkout just errors out for me.

As soon as I reup on supplies, I'll try it on the HVD w/ batteries. My previous trial of the 7.4v was w/ HVD on the Core.

I recently got a black Omicron HVD-V2.

It won't fire the new Ti dual coil carts on the Kiss Globe. I just get red blinky lights. It works fine with the original version (deeper cup) and also with the single coils in Ni and Ti.

@THC SCIENTIFIC Is this a known limitation with the Omicron?
