In my opinion..... no. I would spend the money on a temp control mod first.

It has a couple settings (3 I think) instead of just 3.7v and 7.4v. But if you're happy with those I don't see a reason to switch besides size, the 8 is a solid vape.
Not to mention the coolness factor and the ability to use the 8 as a weapon.
My 8 only comes out on special occasions kind of like fine china. Hmmm. Maybe today is a special occasion. Have to have a visit with Bender, 8 and The Core this evening.

No kidding, the 8 is solid. Like heavy duty flashlight solid, you can get a good swing with it.
Seeing the post about it was making me want to bust out my 8 too, it's been a while. At home I've been doing bangers and nails and portable I use my omicron.
Indeed, I keep one of my 8's attached to the core @ 7.2v with my hercules (sr71) and nibbler

Had the trinity for a couple of weeks and am still really liking it.
@THC SCIENTIFIC does it work with the omicron v4? Product page said omicron v5 so I've been running it on my evic mini in tc mode so far.
I haven't needed to clean it so I'll have to see how that goes, but I'm expecting it to be easy. Perfect thing to take to a hockey game, no one looks twice at it. Tc mode has worked well so far and best of all no leaks yet. I'm looking forward to trying out more stuff with it too, so far I've only used hash oil I thinned out a little with terps.

Glad you are enjoying it and yes it will work with the omicrons v4 and 5 just keep it at 13 watts max and you should be ok.

I know it's a very, very small amount, but it's driving me crazy to leave that last tiny bit in there.
I was just going to try leaving it upside down over something glass in the sun.
Also I *think* I had a leak into the airpath. I heard a slurping noise which in the past has never been an indication of a leak (I check every time), this time though I unscrewed it to look down the middle airpath and *think* I saw oil plugging the hole. I did some cool down hits to try and unplug it and make sure it didn't just fall out the bottom and I couldn't find any evidence of the leak after that. Airpath looked totally dry and smooth and all of the outside air inlet holes were clean and dry. Vape was also totally dry and clean. So either I imagined it or sucked it back in? Again I'm using solventless hash oil with about 2 drops of the blue river terps, so not the ideal liquid. I'm going to get some more stuff this weekend to refill it, I'll let you know if I'm *sure* that happens again.
Overall though still very happy with it, great for longer events with crowds and security when you don't want to mess with stuff.

Are you using hash rosin? What do you mean by not the ideal liquid?

I'm using .5g of solvent free hash oil I bought with about 2 drops of the blue river terps. My understanding was it was for use with rosin with 4-5 drops of the terps added. So just not what they recommend is what I meant. Also mine was probably a bit too thick. I'm going to start using 3 drops instead of 2 I think.
Did you load it with "The Clarity" like your reply a few posts up?

Yes, I've been going through what's in the picture. I think hash oil is a resin and not a rosin? I get concentrate types mixed up a lot so it would not surprise me to learn I'm wrong.
The Clarity is distillate (like THClear, a spin off of The Clear) here's what has me curious though, Judging by the flavors on the label it is not raw distillate, so it already has reintroduced terpenes. For that reason, I would think it should wick in the Trinity cart as is, with no additional terpenes needed?
Rosin is the result of squishing flower, kief, or hash with heat and pressure. Like bubblehash and dry sift, rosin is a solventless process. Solvent-free means the solvents used to make it were purged, as they should be. It's more of a marketing word like when brands claim something is natural instead of organic. I know it can get confusing as it seems like there is practically a new form or consistency of extract every other month being revealed!

I'll +1 this as good information that matches my empirical experience (I am far from an extraction expert though). The distillate I get also comes with reintroduced terps but I usually buy the kinds that are supposed to use actual cannabis terps as opposed to fruit terps, etc. I was actually under the impression there was no way to make distillate without loosing the terps in the process which is why they always have to be reintroduced or else you get raw, flavorless distillate (which I've also tried).
Coming back to the Trinity. I'm similarly perplexed. All I have used so far in the Trinity tank is distillate and it worked perfectly. I haven't tried raw distillate though so the stuff I had will self level at room temp albeit slowly. It gets thin and runny fast when the Trinity tank heats up. After a hit if I turn the Trinity tank upside down the distillate quickly flows with gravity. The raw distillates I have tried is really really thick and I don't think would work in the Trinity tank. However, I have not tested this. Frankly the Trinity tanks are expensive and so is distillate so I don't want to experiment here.
@StormyPinkness Is this distillate, "The Clarity", you are getting really thicker than what I describe above? Did you try it without adding more terps first?

I would say it sounds around the same. I can't see it moving, but it will mostly level out if I move it. I usually store them at a bit of an angle so it runs to one side, I think it's easier to get it all that way. Not all of it moves though, often some will stick to the walls or lid until I put it in the sun for a bit.
I tried using my flexy skillet tool to load some but it just ended up clogging the top and never actually going down into the tube. I could of done that and then tried heating but that just seemed like it would be slow and messy. I also tried putting it in the applicator but couldn't get it through the tip. I mixed in 1-2 drops of terps and was able to get it through the applicator after that.
I actually didn't realize they were using fruit terps, I knew someone was going on there. The grape ape is waaaay too grape flavored. The banana strawberry is ok, but the tangie is actually pretty subtle and good. Hoping to get some other stuff to try this weekend, last time this was the only stuff that looked usable for the trinity.

@StormyPinkness See if you can get the distillate that comes already in a syringe. Then you can simply use a hair dryer to get it flowing and inject it right into the Trinity to fill.
Also try using the hair dryer on those little glass jars and then try to fill your own syringe/applicator.
Just use the low setting on the hair dryer so you don't cook the terps.

Ah heating it before I try the applicator is a good idea, I'm going to try that next time. I was looking for runny stuff or rosin, unfortunately last time I went anything not solid was all pre-filled carts except for the hash oil.

Hate seeing other companies make progress and this we just hear things are going on behind the scenes would love to see I LOVE my Hercules and would love another great product from you guys.

I’m sorry I disagree with other companies making progress. If correct research is done you would see that progress was done years ago and by other companies.
