Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

Wow $42 for a second v2? You've outdone yourself!

Also, I though the new extended battery cap served the purpose of the spacers, did something change to require them again?

Interesting perspective makes the upgrade seem better (I think an upgrade is needed because of the sub standard performance of the current V2 with even the 1.5 Ohm carts, higher power stuff like is being talked about will be all the worse). Looked at that way for $42 you get upgraded and a backup head with reduced abilities along with some neat stuff like shorter tube, 7.4 Volt batteries and capability, water proofing and so on......

I think you get two spacers so you can charge the shorter batteries?

there are boosting regulators out there homie....

Sure there are, but not in there, right?

yea, it kinda swiss armies the thing out so it is a shortie and a powerhouse. for the same price point as a base persei (130 + 70 = 200) w/o FC discount. makes sense. 40% off discount is fucking amazing tho. i think that helps for those who upgraded and might have hit the 200 dolla mark combining those numbers. either way, looks like it's money
edit- seriously, no pun intended, lol

THC said it best:

This will essentially get you a second unit without the charger, Price is $69 but for FC users you will get a 40% discount for 1 week only.

I want to see a picture of the shorty tube!

Check out the size of the batteries:

Same width as our red ones, just a lot shorter!

Been lurking for a couple of months and this thread has steered me right for all things Omicron!

Trying to figure out my next purchase. I have the V1 and picked up the V2 for a buddy, I do like the V1 a little better when hitting the 1.5 carts compared to my buddies V2. One of my batteries died on the V1 so per the trouble ticket I sent in all I have to do is send it back for a replacement but I am really considering trading it all in for the V2 and getting all the new upgrades to go with it. However I do not want to live without for the time it takes to go there and back.

So do I...

Send back the battery and just buy the V2 or the PerseI? I do not find the Persei travel friendly and want a second unit for out and about.
Or
Buy the O-Phos and trade in the V1 for the V2 after receiving the O-Phos?

Will the V2 at some point in time in the near future not limit the voltage? If so this helps my decision since it would hit as strong as my V1 with the 1.5 carts.

Sorry, one more question. Upping the voltage with the new upgrade to V2 what is the advantage of using the higher ohm carts? I am very happy with the 1.5 ohm and don't really need a bigger hit is why I ask.

Understood. Any plans to just eliminate the offending voltage protection circuit in future runs or is that buried too deep in design or existing inventory?

And hey, love the '250 size tube' idea. Any chance of a 500 size? That's actually what I was thinking when I suggested it way back when we were younger. Seems I've got several power hungry devices that have left me with a handful of IMR 14500s but only the two 650s that came with my V2. I'm already used to dealing with the AA format from MFLB so it seems a natural to me. Can you maybe whomp up a run of 'em as options for us crazy guys?

TIA

i like this about the 14500's. it'd be tight to have an option that uses those, maybe a box shape instead of the tube... i dono

so will we able to use 1.5 ohm carts on the new upgraded tops, say with just one of the two batteries in? because i dont think i need more than 1.5 ohm carts, and thats the only reason im upgrading,

I wonder if they meant to lock the contest thread...and got the main one by accident. Just guessing...

I just noticed a tiny tiny rip on my red-wrapped V2 batteries. There's just a tiny part of visible silver underneath, not bigger than the size of a BB.

Is this a problem in any way? I basically have no experience with these fancy batteries that come all wrapped up :peace:

Yes that is a issue, this will cause one of the safety circuits to kick in, please stop using it.

Hello Everyone,

I've been following this thread for a while, but this is my first post of ANYKIND! - hope I don't screw up. Anyway, I purchased a couple of Omi V1's two months ago and MUST THANK ALL OF YOU for your many helpful tips and observations-they certainly shortened the learning curve!!!! I own (and love) an Extreme Q- but the portability of the V1 has been absolutely empowering.

That being said, while I enjoy concentrates I would also like to medicate easily with flowers while at home and on the go. I see that I may have the option to reach that destination by way of both the Omi V2 (with the Universe?) and Persei (with the Persei 8?)?? Alas, while I would love to travel BOTH those roads now (and who am I kidding?? - I probably will at some point), can anyone shed some light on the pros/cons, availability, efficacy etc. of each? Huge clouds are nice (but not always necessary), but my primary concerns are VERSATILITY (will the Universe really be able to handle flowers/concentrates/oils???) and EASE OF USE! TIA!!
