Yes ,if ya overheat ,vaporizationj ignition is hindered
~ all ya do is backoff button ,sip slowly ,thechamber will start to cool ,and` simultaneously ,will start ignition
w/o button ~ Again ,trick is tocapture ignition in the zone

Just got my V2 in the mail yesterday! Still waiting on getting some oil, but that's ok, because I can't seem to get the mouthpiece to fit anyway...
Anyone ever have this problem? Any tips?

Thanks dude! I figured it out now, much slower pulls lol. I was used to the some recent oil I had that was real thick, this batch is more runny and liquefies a bit quicker.

Lol I had the SAME exact problem, I sat there baked out of my mind from a hash cookie and could not figure out how the mouthpiece fit lol. So what you need to do is screw in the cartridge, un screw the cartridge's top half ( e.g. white cap ) and take the black plug looking thing and push it into the bottom half of your cartridge. Make sure you push the side with the rubber seal on it, the seal looks similar to those on smaller bong stems/bowls.

I could not decide which I liked better - black, or polished chrome. They both looked awesome in their own unique way. So I did what any logical FC'er in my position would do - get 'em both!!
chrome for a nighttime sativa, black for the indica knockout

any tips on vaping on the 1.5s? just filled one up and was reading up on them.
how long do you guys hold the button down for a hit, and how long do you let it cool down for in between hits?
is it possible to burn out the cart by hitting it for long hits to get huge clouds?

Ha, thanks so much for the advice. I tried doing as you explained, but kept having the same issue. My cartridge didn't seem to have a cap on it when I got it. I don't want to force it in the wrong spot and break anything...

@silvercloud358: dammit, don't give me more reasons to buy more omicrons! cause i'll do it!! A carbon fiber omicron v2, mmmm... or perhaps I should buy a black one, polish the coating off, and anodize it with a car battery? a different omiv2 for each day of the week? j/k

I haven't yet, but yeah, I do hear it is possible to burn the cart out. After a long pull for good clouds, I'll pull an extra 3-5 seconds just to keep the air path clear while the cart and oil cools down, so it is clog free for the next pull. Let it cool down even more after that if the cart feels really hot to the touch. I think I read that 20-30 seconds to cool down in between long hot pulls are important on 1.5s, especially since without the 7 second timer we can really get these guys cookin'! As for priming, I find that just 1-3 seconds are enough (cold), depends on how melty your goods are. once warmed up, the cart needs no priming to start putting out clouds, it's really a wonderful thing!

With the 2.4s i can get a small hit from holding it down for 8-10 secs. But to get real huge clouds, I'll press for 6-8 secs, release for 1-2 seconds, and repeat 3-5 times to fill my lungs, or a bottle with my bottle method. lol I'm just scared doing the same thing will burn out a 1.5. about to hit it now since it has cooled down from fillin it up.

hmm, on the 1.5s, I just hold the button down for 1-2 seconds, then just pull on it real slow until my lungs are nearly full. Then I let go and finish the pull, just to help cool things down and keep things clog free. After that I wait about 15-20 seconds before my next hit. So far, no dead carts yet (knock on wood), and on this 1.5 I'm puffing on now it is my 2nd gram of extract. So far so good!

They look really good side by side. I always prefer the Chrome Omni's but they look great together, makes me want to get both, damn you!

I'll give it a try sometime. For now, I'm having fun with it on the DART. I guess I'm not following how you could get oil in your mouth....it's a filter, right?

ah, i never got oil in my mouth with the pureflow, just with other delrin tips unless i notched those grooves in. But yeah, I do notice the pureflow tends to collect oil on the bottom, right at the ceramic element, and tends to clog a bit - does that happen with you too? happened on my dart as well as omicron, hmmm..

Damn! You had my hopes up that they made an announcement!
Guys we have the 7.4v v2 prototype being shipped out form my engineer in New york on monday, so i should have a video up by friday,
Also the herb chamber had some issues on the prototype build but it is almost done and I should have a video of some clouds up by April 20, but you guys wont see the unit until we file the patent paperwork for it.
Herb Cartridge I think i should have a video up on the by end of April if it works earlier. So Hope it works.

I always say this, but take all the time you need, I say! Can't wait!! Seeing how the v1 design of your nail cart (that you discarded because it wasn't up to snuff) was already hitting better than the dart LV with way less work and priming, I cannot *WAIT* to see the final design for that nail cart.

I don't think I'm going to need anything else after that FC'ers, I saw this man's workflow and he is a METICULOUS and borderline OCD man when it comes to his goods. I was impressed No wonder the omicron carts and products have been the only reliable way to sip on extracts all day without ejuice/etc.

do you know the number range? i have one v2 741 and a v2 358. 741 came w/1.5 ohm cart. 358 came w/ 2.4 ohm cart. my 358 had the longer plug. the 741 had the short one. was the longer plug to eliminate that slight rattle if aggressively jiggled?

Re: v2 button times ,w/ these high drain (CL IMR 1000's) ,it's more difficult to bring carts (ie.,
1.5's) to '"cremation"' ,compared to the vx.1 ,O-PHOS ~ still wanna try to keep 1.5's under 8

In the meantime ,in order to get proper nail hits ,this patient must rely on '"E.R.B.O./Nail Globe which does a decent job ,esp w/hydro cooling
