What you want to do is find the actual url of the uploaded image. This is rarely the url of the page on the host site. What I do is click on image properties, and copy the url of the image location. One way to test it is to open up a new browser window, then paste this url that you've identified by clicking on the image properties, and paste that url into your new browser. Hit enter and you should see a blank page with nothing but the image.
