Lol Its my 1st run and like a dumbass I didn't test my equipment.. I had to do a bunch of shit to the electric griddle & skillet to bring the temp down.. That s a 8x16 pyrex filled halfway with rice then cheesecloth then the big pad on top then my bho on the little pad and parchment lol.. I kno its ghetto but I had to for something quick.. And the pyrex had rice in it cuz that's how I did the initial purge. I used rice Instead of water to avoid moisture... Ghetto but it kept the temp in between 100°-110°.. Funny as fuck even my fiancé was like uuuum wtf

This was touched on earlier in the thread, but never fully discussed. I recently picked up a pack of the mini slick balls, and when I stored my oil in them over night, the side of the oil that was in contact with the silicone had taken a bluish white hue. Any idea what this is? I really don't want to be inhaling silicone.

I managed to get this 1 ounce "gob" of Leda Uno shatter, and a couple samples, and it was becoming very unruly on parchment paper, so off I went to my LHS. I got one large and one small and what a relief. These things make handling shatter a dream. Very pleased with the result . . . :)

na just slide the slick sheet over an edge and the purged patty will just pop right off if your making shatter.... if going for wax or errl I dont even recomend using teflon.... use glass cause errl and wax will come up easier scrapped.... the ptfe sheets only really work well for shatter.

Has anyone ordered the OS Ball minis from Amazon?

I just picked up a 4 pack from there and 2 of the 4 are REALLY rough around the edges and 1 has almost a 1 mm gap of overhang(and rough, uneven edges) when the 2 halves are joined. The seller on Amazon was "Oil Slick", so I assumed they were legit and not knockoffs. If anyone has bought from this seller or could share any experiences I would appreciate it.

I chose Oil Slick because of the Platinum Cured silicon and company reputation and am hoping I didn't buy from some "scammer" selling knockoffs.

The "fitament", of each of the 2 "defective" halves has me worried about excess air, pocket lint, dirt, etc., making their way thru the gap and into my concentrates. At the same time worried about something from the inside leaking out of the Oil Slick Ball minis---finding some precious goo leaking into my pocket would be traumatic for me.

50% of my Balls are mishapen.:(

I love oil slick products, I think they are great. I have an oil slick ball and 2 small pads, and am hoping to get some larger pads in the future.

I am not sure if it's been asked already but I always wonder to myself if the oil slick company has ever considered making oil slick gloves?, they would be SO handy. Please let me know if there is already something like this already out there.

Emailed Oil Slick last night, got this reply this morning:
"Hi Silver420Surfer,
Sounds like (by your description of the box) the product is legit...and yes there have been cases of knockoffs substituted through Amazon.
We sell around 6,000 boxes of Minis a month (30,000 individual units) and while we do our very best to monitor fit and finish before packaging, once in a while something is missed in QC.

I would be happy to get some replacements off to you, and appreciate your letting us know about the issue. Would you let me know the colors you purchased? and forward me your mailing address?

Very happy with their response so far and I will update this thread once I receive the replacements.
Seems like they may care about customer service quality as much as they do the quality of materials that go into their products!

Stupid question #6004
I made another batch. I let settle before second strain. I used a Oil Slick Pad (baking dish sized.)
I did three swishes of 20 seconds each.
Much clearer not nearly as dark.
Very nice film on Pad after evap. How the heck do I get it off? I cannot seem to get the stick and fold to work. I scraped pad and dish with a spatula and I got 3 grams of Pineapple dust.
Do you refreeze? Gentle heat?
The holy grail for me is to have one of those swiss cheese hunks of a gram or so.
