Well I had the day off today, decided to finally pop open my Sansui G-5500 receiver and see if I could challenge myself to replace the lightbulbs. I managed to locate and desolder them as they were indeed burnt out.
What should I find later but my package of record cleaning supplies arrived from the States! Got a stylus brush, stylus tracking force gauge, RCA Discwasher D4+ brush and two bottles of the cleaner, and 100 clean inner sleeves.
But five minutes ago the dude messaged me back saying all the speakers were sold
... should have seen that coming. I was literally going to be getting his Celestion SL12si's, DCM TimeFrame-700s, Kenwood LS-770s and Sony 7300 ULM's for $20 a pair! I knew it had to be too good to be true... practically in my grasp! Oh well.
Still a pretty successful day when all my Supertramp records are getting their first bath in 25 years.
I wish The Canuck Audio Mart was halfway as good as AudiogoN... All the Canadian guys do is try to rip you off for shitty 80s gear. And none of it is in Alberta to boot.
