Now that Canopy purchased S&B, Is the Volcano Classic (and other units) still as sturdy/reliable as it used to be?

Alot has been said about the build quality, or lack there of, the volcano hybrid. I was looking at buying a volcano, and after looking at the differences between the hybrid and classic, i decided to go with the classic because of the well documented aluminum and melting issues the hybrid has had.

However, this got me worried. Is the classic still as much of a tank as its always been? I know Canopy bought s&b and the hybrid is having issues, so im worried they have changed or skimped out on the classic as well. A huge draw of the classic is how safe and reliable it is, often lasting more than a decade.

Does anyone know if they are still good as ever or have taken a downturn in quality recently? Has any other S&B product had issues or is it only the new Hybrid? People who have recently (last year or so) bought a new classic volcano, what do you think?

Your best bet for longevity from S&B is the Classic or Plenty. I dont think anyone has noticed any negative changes to the Classic since the Canopy purchase.

The classic was our first vaporizer and enabled us to Fuck combustion completely.
We rarely use it unless company requests a bag or we get nostalgic.
That tank will always have a place in my heart.

I haven't used S&B products but I feel like if a company bought it out, and is now releasing a sub-par product compared to their previous offerings... I doubt that their previous offerings won't go through "improvement" (air quotes) in future iterations as well. May want to grab a Classic before Canopy "improves" on the design

I didn't know S&B sold out. That sucks :(

It made me cough too much, those fucking bags/pumps are too noisy and I'd never use it again, but still, nostalgia all the same here as well.

Indeed that tanks bowl was a major stepping stone to me finally getting into vaping properly. It got me thru a fucking disease that caused days of insomnia too, much better than the sleeping tablets the docs were giving me. Nothing helped me sleep like a really fucking packed Volcano bowl.

They still didn't mess with Volcano Classic design or construction as far as we on FC know. They only released a new Gold Classic but the internals should be the same. The new housing cardboard box changed still while S&B was owned by itself. It changed to (mostly) white, with blue and orange stripes a couple of years ago. If you buy a unit with (mostly) blue design box with orange details and stripes on the cover, it's an old model and this involves all SB vapes boxes.
I'm still tempted by the Hibryd and I would't go to the point of assuming line of production is gone batshit and consequently asking for old models.
