Not related to Cannabis but -- how am I alive with a ~650 calorie average/day

Sleep apnea will crush your appetite. One out of ten people suffer from undiagnosed apnea.

A slow and subtle killer. You will never know until you have a sleep study.

I like to eat Papusas!!

MMMMMM

It's a sort of tortilla/perogie!

Essentially a little tortilla with cheese, ham, spices, etc etc, WHATEVER YOU LOVE, and some sauce/dipping/salsa(not exactly salsa but similar) then you put some purple cabbage with radish juice and MMMMMM

Eat anywhere from 4-7 Papusas EL SALVADORIAN STYLE!!

It's Cinco de Mayo, I hope you are getting your fill...enough to fuel yourself to lift some weights and keep the appetite circle alive. Otherwise, reconsider your relationship with Cannabis IMO. Heavy long term use can cripple your appetite IME. Moderate smart use will do the opposite, as cannabis is known to drop your blood sugar and cause munchies.

Yeah, my bad about opioids, wrong memory, but he still said he lost his appetite when he started taking pills for ADHD...
Yep, legal speed will do that to you, amongst other things like sexual disfunction! :o
Yeah, they give that speed out like candy to kids and then wonder why they are so fucked up. I took Ritalin once and its definitely speed...I don't care how they use it clinically.

It's not just children, I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 39 which is BS (but what do you expect from a psych), and given Concerta. Tried it once, and yeah it felt great for being calm and focus, but then I couldn't fucking sleep at all, and then read about the side effects, and anecdotal reports online and tossed that shit like Norris! I don't want anything to mess with my mojo! And ofcourse, he is against cannabis!

Legal drug peddlers paid by the pharmaceutical industry and government (also paid off, as they stroke eachother quite nicely).

There is a time and a place for some people, but fuck..... children? When just giving them a proper diet instead of fucking koolaid jammers to start their day would make a massive difference. And then ofcourse there is the era of staring at electronic screens.... man, what a world we live in.

Hi, @TboneToker!

A few years ago, designed a nutritionally complete, vegan diet in which all vitamins and minerals come from food (or sunshine, in the case of vitamin D). Without boosting calories, the diet is about 1,200 calories per day. So, it seems impossible to get enough nutrition from so little food without supplementing.

At your age, you might not yet have noticed any adverse effects, but it's a good idea to make some improvements before you do. Fortunately, we know everything we need to know to design ideal diets for ourselves. Recommended daily allowances of dozens of nutrients have already been established. Pay attention to these. If you get the recommended amounts from food, you can't go wrong. Soylent offers a free web application to help you design a nutritionally complete diet, there are probably others.

There's remarkable variation in energy needs. You might be at the low end of the range, or even an outlier. It can be a blessing to need only one meal each day, but you'll need to eat foods that are rich in vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients to feel your best. Good luck!

I'm not a doctor but have had some nutrition training. That is too low of a calorie intake for a 6 ft male. If you aren't eating enough calorie intake and protein your body will take from your muscles.

That's too little calories even for a women with less body mass. Take good care of yourself. You don't have anorexia do you? You can't go on long eating like that. Your weight will get lower on that diet of so little calorie intake. You can't afford to lose anymore weight.

I'm wishing you the best of luck and good health.:)

I would have edited the above but too much time passed.

Eating too little will endanger your heart (its a muscle) and other major organs. You need a good doctor. Not sure about the one that's been advising you? This is really serious stuff. People have died from starving themselves.

Not to worry you but you could have something else major going on. You may need to go to a larger town for medical advise. I'm not saying your doctor isn't telling you the truth but something is off.

You need to add more protein to your diet and healthy veggies. A healthy 150 pounds at least would be something to strive for.

I wouldn't recommend coming to a forum full of Cannabis users who are against modern medicine, to find a solution for your medical problems.

That said, just because you aren't dead, doesn't mean your diet isn't killing you. I'd get professional help with your issue. Your body is likely suffering big time, with so little nutrition.

I don't know that you are anorexic but I used to work with people who were. They reported not being hungry and having no appetite after they adapted to their low food intake. Although medical options seem limited surely you can ask your doctor for a comprehensive lab test- not just vitamins. If the labs come back ok that could be reassuring and indicate that you may be one of the rare people for whom low weight is their norm. If the test indicates deficiencies at least you will know if you are harming yourself.
Some people who have no appetite and are at an unhealthy wait for them drink liquids like instant breakfast or ensure that have added vitamins. There probably is a way to make a healthier version of that. But I think getting bloodwork is essential and then getting a copy of the results instead of relying on the doctor to tell you everything is ok.

You've said several times you are worried that you are hurting yourself. There is a way to check it out even within the limitations of your health system.

I did get bloodwork done and a urine test about a year ago, my doctor was not alarmed at all, actually he seemed kind of annoyed with the fact.

Also I am not taking any medication for ADD, but used to take Dexedrine if memory serves, when I was 7-8-9-10-11-12-13~

Yeah, they give that speed out like candy to kids and then wonder why they are so fucked up. I took Ritalin once and its definitely speed...I don't care how they use it clinically.

Yes this is exactly true, It totally killed my appetite as well as any semblance of wanting to hangout with other people even of the opposite sex during my usage, and I also was what my peers said "zombied" cause I wouldn't really talk much etc.. because I would just be messed up from the medication, all I could really do was do my work and sit around bored, until the medicine started to ware off which I would enjoy, but then I would have to redose at around noon before lunch..

I never had an appetite and realize that it isn't easy , maybe unfeasible to get it back, I even had appetite for a while a couple years ago, I was eating fairly well, a late growth spurt, but now I am back to hardly eating. I don't know what triggered me to be able to eat so easily a couple years ago but now it's as hard as it's ever been. I was even having 3300 calorie average every day, and some days 4000-6000! Which is a lot, but it felt good to be able to eat for once. After maybe half a year it died down, and started to get lower again, but oddly, I didn't gain any weight throughout this time.

I took Dexedrine/Adderall for 25 years until I was cut off a month or two ago by a fucking idiot psychiatrist so she could terrorize me into getting an MRI to see the MS lesions on my brain, which is none of her fucking business. It's amazing medicine for the right people. That's coming from someone who for the most part is anti-pharmaceutical. Problem is, they mostly give it to the wrong people. Beginning with anyone who is seven years old. (I was 18 or 19 when I started taking it.)

There's nothing wrong with getting labs done after a year. Make sure they checked your kidneys, liver, iron etc. You have no way of knowing what was checked because even in the US they run a limited lab set unless specifically requested. I've been low iron for years and no one checked until I saw a substitute doc in spite of my constant complaints about fatigue and comprehensive labs done every 6 months. I think having a copy yourself instead of relying on the doctor would help. If all that is checked and ok then don't worry. Weight falls on a curve and there are extremes on either end. (You might take a good multi just in case but not before labs are done.)

I'm worried that I might be hurting myself without knowing.

Like you know how when you're dehydrated so much that your body decides to 'shut off' that feeling for as long as it can.. to make it so you can last long enough til you find water.. what if it happens for food too and I am really hurting myself slowly.
Check out mike dolce’s the dolce diet it’s very low calorie it your eating 6 meals a day and it works it’s a diet most fighters use in fight camps I can send you over some screen shots

The UN states that the minimum daily caloric intake is 750.
You can survive on calorie defasit as long as your eating the right foods but I wouldn’t want to consum less then 800 really I used to cut mine down to 1000-1200 a day leading up to a fight but was still eating six good meals a day including peanut butter and chocolate metabolite as treats each day

There are so many variables to this. I personally think this all starts with. What do you do when you wake up in the morning? What kind of work do you do? Circadian biology and sunlight are the key to fixing your problem along with some mind and body healing. How much time do you spend on electronics/screen time. When do you go to sleep? Do you work days? When you eat what are you eating? What are your stress levels?
I'd recommend digging into people like dr jack kruse. :). Grounding and getting am sunlight will create the hunger you need every single day. The uv in the morning is needed to produce the hormones we need for daily function every single day. The sun is natures medicine. :)

This is by far my favourite post on this forum! It's so refreshing to see someone so likeminded! Dr. Kruse should receive a nobel prize IMO. Is there anybody smarter? Dude gets bored of dentistry, becomes a dental surgeon, bored, becomes a dr, boring, so becomes a neurosurgeon...boring.... now spreads the light and biohacking!

And here some dude no one has heard of reverses progressive multiple sclerosis in 45 minutes.

Let's see that neurosurgeon guy (or any other medical professional) do this for someone without first watching my video and doing exactly what I did. Especially since he's a neurology expert and I have what they call a neurological illness.
(It has never been done by anyone else.)

Dude has changed my life! Jack kruse is the man. Grounding, sunlight, clean water and a bowl of sardine ;). Those have been my saviors. Especially grounding. It's like an ibuprofen for me. I work nights and used to go to sleep at 5am cuz I was so wired. Blue blockers changed alll that :) . I get home and fall asleep and even fall asleep on the way home:( but still I take it as a good thing that I'm fallin asleep and melatonin is becoming so high I can't even stop from falling asleep ha. It didn't even dawn in me what your name had meant till the other day when I read your posts in this thread haha. 6-7 years ago I started dealing crazy hip and neck pain then led to foot pain with tons of tears and strains in my muscles. I have been debilitated several times due to random pain and injuries just from general movements. I couldn't even tie my shoe at one point. Something is still happening to me but I think it's at a slower rate. Always trying to biohack my environment. Whenever I'm around wifi or use in wifi in my house for mayb more than an hour, weird shit always seems to happen. Or it's just coincidence that these things happen to me exactly after I use my devices for wi if or work ina. Building that has wifi running all day. It's very interesting shit. Sometimes I wonder if the desktop devices have any kind of charge on me negatively. Hate tapping myself into the power grid all the time :(
@Aimless Ryan when you say reverse does that mean you don't have ms anymore? whats the drs name? What did he do to cure you in 45 mins? Permanently? If not how long was it gone for?

Let me be clear: I don't mean cure. If I meant cure, I would not have multiple sclerosis.

But I almost mean cure.

Oxycodone treatment for my multiple sclerosis is infinitely closer to a cure than anything any doctor has ever produced. Ever. In the history of civilization. Right there on my video. You won't find another video like that unless I'm in it.

What I mean is that normally I can't stand. When I take a mere 10 mg of oxycodone, 45 minutes later I can stand. If I take it regularly, I build muscle. The less I hurt, the more muscle I can build. The more muscle I build, the less I hurt.

It has essentially nothing to do with doctors and absolutely nothing to do with so-called multiple sclerosis specialists. I figured it out on my own after being injured really bad twice in seven weeks last year. If doctors had a clue, or were even willing to let themselves have a clue, this would be the standard treatment. Or at least an option to everyone in my condition.
