Semi-Raw brownie
2 cups almonds, lightly roasted, cooled down
1/2 cup hazelnuts, lightly roassted, cooled down
3,5 cups (medjoul) dates
1 cup (raw) cocoa powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
5 tablespoons maple syrup
100 gr canna coconut oil (soft, room temperature)
a little salt
Baking tray of approx. 20x30 cm, lined with parchment paper
(when you roast the nuts, it's not raw anymore, but tastes extra yummie
)
Grind the nuts together with the dates as fine as possible, stopping the machine regularly to scrape and mix in the sides.
Add the cocoa powder and salt, mix well.
Add the coconut oil and let the machine spin a few times.
Add the vanilla and maple syrup, mix well.
Put the mixture in the baking tray, spread evenly and push it down, the sides with a tablespoon.
Let it set for at least a couple of hours before dusting with cocoa powder and cutting.
* It will be at it's nicest the next day, when the moisture has mixed and set with the dry ingredients.
* Be careful to not let the machine run things too warm, as it will let the oils from the nuts come out.
Edit: hmmm, i can't seem to get this image uploading to work, have to sort that out some time, sorry...
