I would recommend checking out your local dollar store or craft store and check out tiny Glass jars. Assuming that the shot glass doesn't work out.
Also old flower bowls or domes might work also.
If you have a marble or pendant that's the right size, they work well too as caps.
It looks like the 710whip is ~$80 from domeless.com using the fc101 code. Is this my best bang/buck at ~$100, or is an auber controller + coil and quartz from dhgate for ~105 going to be better?
I would consider the edabs unit or any other cheap ones, but I'd want to upgrade the nail as I don't trust the Chinese Ti, and that would up the cost for me.

Hey guys, I'm new to the enail thread. Not new to FC community though. Primarily have been building ecig coils and using them like a lesser than portable enail. I'll still continue to use this cause it's so portable. No one can take a whole enail system on vacation for the weekend without adding to the load of luggage, ya know?
Anyways, with a new house on the horizon, in which I will actually own, I finally have the incentive to buy an enail system to keep in my music room. So I have read the last 10-15 pages fairly thoroughly. I would like keep it under 350-400 for everything if that's possible.
It looks like I'm leaning towards the auberin rdk-300 with the universal nail and flat coil add on option on auberins website. Roughly comes out to 250 or 225 from memory. I guess I'm just wanting to know if there are any cheaper options on this same auberin unit package anywhere? Buying the auberin off dhgate looks like an option but I want to make sure I'm getting the real deal with acceptable build quality ect. Anything else I need to know about the auberin in general? Is the universal nail it comes with of decent quality? I think I read earlier that it does fit the sic dish.
I'm also wanting to go in the direction of sic halo dish. Also is their no carb cap made for the dnail sic? Are they just out of stock or what? So any help or anything I need to know about it or similar counterparts would be great. Thanks so much!
I tried their ceramic nail and cap but but didn't like it since it was hard to keep clean. For me that's really important for taste as much as the surface itself. With Ti, SiC and Quartz, I can torch them clean in between hits.Even though I am about to pull the trigger on something else (probably the auber) because I want a liger banger so badly, the 710 whip for $80 cannot be beaten. Is that the whole shebang for that price? ?
It is analog, but we keep it on pretty much 24/7 and cranked almost all the way up. The flavor is incredible with the ceramic, and the dab cap removes the need to physically do anything but stick your dab in the hole and inhale.
I cannot wait to try sic, and will report my results, but I am not expecting a huge increase in flavor over the 710 whip

Just got a message that D-Nail has restocked on Quartz Halos and carb caps for those waiting on them.
It's covered in their FAQ now, you can email their to be sure but the Auber should work fine.So I bought the slim series and quartz halo. Just have a quick question. On the D-nail website it says in the description of both products that "only the dnail flat coil is compatible". So that leads me to a couple of questions. First, is that true or just some marketing ploy? Second, if it is true does the D-nail coil/cord work in the Auber rdk300, or is there any callibration needed to make it work?
Greetings again!
I don't work for D-nail, I do beta test their products though. I have spend untold fortune on their products because they are simply the best in my experience.
As you've seen in my sig, I've got all of the current dnail lineup including the sapphire halo.
The sapphire halo is unequivocally better than anything else I've ever dabbed on.
SiC and Quartz halos involved trade-offs and it depends how you are going to use it as to which will be best. Both are outstanding nails. I have owned/used various pukinbeagle quartz nails ($$$$), the infiniti, a bunch of domeless.com nails, Hive and a few assorted cheap quartz and ti (also dabbed on the sublimator).
I have been using the halos now for quite some time as nothing else I have used in the past compares to any one of them!
The short answer to your question is IMHO - they really are that good!
Good enough to have many think that I work for dnail. I assure you all, they've never paid me a penny.
If you can only spare the funds for one right now, I'd suggest the SiC. Get a sapphire insert if you got the funds, it is delicious! If not, the halo is the main thing anyway so you'll be good you could always get one later if you like.
That should last you a lifetime with the minimum of care (don't drop it onto a hard surface from a great height and you're good). You can also torch it as hard as you like with a butane torch without oxidative degradation of the nail. Sure helps cleaning!
Do not torch the sapphire insert. Sapphire must not be torched.
Hope this helps
They only sold it to beta testers and they haven't done another run yet. No ETA last I heard but they need to be grown from scratch over a couple months and their cost is around $250 before profit and overhead. You can however buy a sapphire insert for use with the Quartz and SiC Halos which is a bit cheaper and allows for convection dabs.Hi Everyone. I am a long time lurker who is finally making my first post.
Thanks to FC.com, I own (and LOVE) a Mighty and a Hydrabomb EVO. I decided it is time for an eNail so I'm doing a bunch of research. @herbivore21 I noticed you mentioned a "sapphire halo" several times. I tried Googling it and searching for it on the D-Nail site with no luck. Can you point me to some information about it?
Thank you - and thank you all for such an interesting, useful, and entertaining forum!

It only works with the titanium bases for now.I posted this in another thread, but there isn't much traffic there. So I'll post this here as well.
What I'm most curious to know is if there is anything in the works for a sic dish with a ceramic base to be used with an enail. I see dnail offers a sic dish paired with a hive ceramic base but just for the torch.
I recently bought a hive ceramic nail (20mm coil)for an enail. I'm very happy with it. But I'm sure I would love to try out the sic in the not too distant future. It would be great if they can have a hive ceramic base with a sic dish for a flat enail. I'm sure the titanium bases are probably perfectly fine, but I simply and strongly prefer the ceramic. Although still need to figure out what exactly is in these ceramics.
