My Gimido flat coil seems to be dying after about 6 months of near constant use, reported temps keep fluctuating and I ruled out the unit. I have a 4-pin mini-XLR cable which limits off-the-shelf replacement options to a couple places. I opted instead to just replace mine with the 5-pin XLR version from Gimido and that way I can either order cheap coils from China or ones from D-Nail. After I sell it locally it costs me about $30 extra in the end.
Why Gimido again and not D-Nail or another e-nail? I mainly just really like the Omron E5CC PID and they have the best value and form factor with that PID at the moment. The white/green LED's for the temp values is nicer than alarm clock red, it heats up quickly and maintains the temp, and I can quickly increase and decrease the temps for cleaning with a couple button clicks. Just personal preference and for all intents and purposes I believe it offers comparable PID performance to the ENDA ET2011 PID that D-Nail uses, and if it doesn't I doubt I can tell. The only other one I was considering was the HashCastle Mini 3.0 which isn't much bigger than the Omron PID unit itself but when it was in stock they were charging something like $400US for it.
Also kudos to Gimido, it only took 30 minutes to get a tracking number. Last time it only took them 3 days to get from China to Canada.
