Yeah I think that may work even better. The herb will be a lot closer to the nail and will be more surrounded by the nail body! I'll probay be able to use less and get just as big of hits!

EDIT: just the cap works great! I used way less herb and got a huge rip at 650F with no burn!

Thats how we've been doing it. I have a glass adapter sketched out that will basically emulate the same thing without a cap but I cant find anyone to make it. OGB replied today and said he could make it but I dont feel real confident about it turning out like I want so I may pass on him. Wish the local blowers werent so unreliable....

Yeah just the cap is great when I just want a small amount. When it's bed time or I have some friends over I'm thinking I'll be filling the ELB half to all the way full

Between this and my new nano, vaping flowers is a much more common occurrence at my place now. And vaping/dabbing at the same time haha

Could it be machined out of titanium or does it have to be glass? Did you message new-vape?

I'm more than happy with the way the ELB works, but the more variety the better I just don't know how it's going to get much better than the ELB (turbulence I guess?)

It doesnt have to be glass... I havent messaged them yet.. it might actually be easier out of titanium but you wouldnt be able to see what was going on.

My piece should let you do a larger volume without sacrificing vaporization.

At first I liked to see what was going on, but I have since returned to watching the function of my glass and the density of the vapor

So I would be cool with it being made out of titanium. I guess I just don't have the drive to get it designed and made because the ELB is working wonders right now

If you get it made though, I will definitely be a buyer

Ordered the 20mm Quartz banger from CFAB. unfortunately, it came chipped. They said they will ship out the new improved version next Wednesday while I keep this. Great customer service and will buy from them again.

Edit: I am looking for a new heater for my analog Dnail v1.2. Any recommendations for good value? Prob get 16 or 20mm

I agree. It will be interesting to see how the super thick banger works. You may just have to crank up the heat or give it plenty of time to get up to temp

And also be aware that the coil can slip off the bottom of a banger if there is no hook or handle for the coil arm/rod to sit on. So with the super thick banger, you may want to rig something up that holds up the coil arm/rod so the chances of it slipping off are drastically reduced.

This scares the shit out of me and has led me to only use the banger with hook option

I use the banger setup it's working great that price tag seems steep. you could get a whole enail box with 1yr warranty, same coil, and the extra thick banger for like 160-170 from ineedhemp.com

Like booger said you got rig it up to stay on. I bend the coil arm down and I use a rubber band or Zip tie around the Cord to kinda hang it from the rig.

Divine tribe also has the Quartz enails no rigging required

Okay, @BoogerMan, Ive relented and done this adapter so it could be made with titanium. If you want to forward it to your guy, if he has any questions, Ill call him.

This actually may end up working better than glass for a couple of reasons. First, it should hold heat better after it heat soaks and thats cool and everything but the big thing here is you can reconfigure it.

I dont think that a male configuration will work right here. Ive tried it and it really concentrates the heat into one spot. The female setup works much better. But, you could unscrew the bottom of the adapter that in my sketch is a female and replace it with a male if you wanted and you could change joint sizes as well. Doing this with a 14mm inlet would get the heat closer to the herb too.. I dunno how much of a difference that would make but maybe some.

Im picturing a small middle piece, just big enough to hold the screen and be threaded on both sides.

If it's titanium how will you reload it when it is hot?
My ECS Herb chamber has a handle on the side that stays cool enough to remove empty then reload while it is still hot.
Just a thought.

You could eliminate the middle all together by leaving a ledge in the bottom peice so a screen would get pinned in place when the top was threaded on

I thought about that but then I got to thinking it would be cool if you could change the orientation. And I agree about it being hot which is why I kind of wanted to avoid TI but I cant find a glassblower that will tackle this. It looks so easy, I cant believe no one will touch it.

A handle would be cool too.. I dunno.. Im not sure how hot it would get in the middle and towards the bottom since it would be separate pieces. It may be handleable.

I think my New-Vape Drop Down will be relegated to friend's houses instead of daily use. It's actually great when I'm out, it's one less thing swinging around in a crowded room and it won't break. But I've been having to clean it once a week since it gets clogged and after scraping and a couple hours in ISO in the ultrasonic cleaner and it's still not fully clean! Reminds me of when I was using the Sublimator as my daily driver and spending 2 hours a week cleaning and scraping the bowl and downtube. For my glass dropdown I just dunk it in iso for an hour and it looks new. Also the reclaim bucket was again filled with glassy charred resin and nothing dabbable to be found inside. I guess you could get it to work by unscrewing the bucket after each hit or if you turn your nail off after each dab.

It's nice to see them innovating and releasing products quickly but I don't think they really put the drop-down through much testing before they put it up for sale. A lot of the issues I found with v1 and v2 became apparent within a week of use. That said I did buy it as a guinea pig and they shipped me a new one for free that addressed most of the issues in v1. I think the current cleaning issue is unavoidable given that it's made of steel, same goes for the reclaim bucket.

It works better for reclaim that anything Ive ever used. I have a steady stream being pulled into the reclaim dish with just a light hint going up the dropdown... not even enough you can heat it and get it to run down.

If you have a choice of plug, I'd go for the regular 5-pin XLR which seems to be the standard and better for compatibility plus apparently has grounding. I got a 4-pin mini-XLR and while I like the smaller form factor it seems to be limiting my options for replacement coils.

i recommend getting a cheap enail from someone like divine tribe and getting a nice ti nail from newvapes like i did. cost $140 for the enail kit, 30 for enail top, 45 enail body, 32 carb cap. it adds up but the amount of money you spend on it makes up for it when you medicate. also it has one year warren on the box, so i feel thats worth it.

I don't think I've seen any bad reviews of e-nails here, and the insides for most of the cheap ones will be similar with the exterior being the main difference so like 420time said just get a cheap one and spend the big bucks on the nail itself. Probably want a drop-down too while you're at it. I can vouch for Gimido, Auber is a good one too at around $160. Try to get a regular sized 5-pin XLR plug since it will make getting a replacement coil easier down the road.

You cant go wrong with The Terpz unit or the Auber unit. The Terpz is constructed a little better as it has a metal housing instead of plastic. Both seem to work very well.

The nail is the key. I havent tried any New-Vape stuff but I can say that the Happy Daddy Genesis nail is stellar. It does have a learning curve but once you figure it out, I dont think there is anything better.
