next generation e-nails?

i received my enhale ceramic enail nail tonight, first impressions are bad, as previously mentioned the female end does not fit securely, letting a little bit of air leak in unfortunately! also the carb carp does not fit properly and also leaks so im left with two sub par sources of leakage. Otherwise it screams of bottom line cheap china ceramic, as the carb cap came fully packaged with a chip on the end of the dabber tool part. The company itself was massively unprofessional, initially telling me they would have a tracking number later the same day, then silence for a week after repeated emails asking for an update. I personally would not recommend so far, honestly i cant wait till the enail comes in and i can give it a proper taste test and all but i think for the future im going to go with hive or domeless.com

so guys, any input on seasoning ti nail? i think the hive ceramic nail would be better since its just two pieces, the domeless one is 3 pieces. the hive should conduct heat more better since the top part is a single piece. just wish it wasnt so expensive.

You're never gonna buy all the "right" parts going by other people's opinions. If you think the hive one is better, go for it. Try it out and let us know how it works.

In regards to seasoning, didn't @darkshade go over that yesterday? Check his response to your posts from then, he goes over it.

does anyone know if theres a coupon for thedabstore? the thing that sucks about the hive enail is that its 30$ for a replacement top, the domeless one is only 15$.

i donno guys, after using my cheap gimido enail and ceramic nail i just dont get the point of e-nails other than convience if they dont taste any better, and if anything hit you less for the same amount of shatter! I reallly really want to like them but why do i get better tasting hits off my 30$ perfetly seasonied Ti domed nail then with carb cap ceramic? every hit i have has this bad nasty aftertaste and i cant place it. Is there anything more i can do before i give up, go back to the tank and sell the unit? I really want to love it so any help would be appreciated!

Probably just don't like the ceramic nail, I didn't either. I'd try using it with a ti nail and maybe also try bumping up the temp to reduce the nasty stuff at the end. I personally run it at 825-845F.

Aside from convenience, what I like most is temperature consistency. It hits exactly the same each time which means you can experiment to find your sweet spot.

ok that makes sense, at first i was running 710 but it always left a major vapor trail so now i run 830 comfortably. so what options for Ti is there? should i get a dirt cheap universal titanowl from china or what do you recommend? also for Ti would u recommend carp cap or no?

Definitely need a carb cap, usually best to get one made for the nail to get the best fit. If you have the cash I highly recommend this one by New-Vape, been working great for me so far.

I ran my thermocouple on my new Quartz enail and it left a residue that I could not torch off, but glowed red as I tried and tried. Finally, decide to do a ISO wipe while hot and it disappeared. Are you supposed to clean the metal point of thermocouple. Probably won't run it again because I found the nail temperature to run 100 deg cooler (I do this because I'm cheap and bought the analog). So I leave it at 650 and dab is nice and clean. My nail needs a lil more seasoning.

that honestly looks amazing, its also the same price as my e-nail itself!! i might even get the male version and a glass adapter to save money if it doenst effect the quality at all. i was thinking about this: http://www.kasebi.com/index.php?id_product=38&controller=product

but that product still might be TOO bottom line, i dont know, it looks like it would fit at least!

also i was wondering, should you season the enail coil at all or just leave it as is?

I can't speak for that specific one but the InfitiTi clone I got from Gimido was poorly made (rough edges, wire sticking out in the downtube, bad taste when vaped) and a waste of money. It's a good deal if you get a well made one but you take that chance.

New-Vape has a cheaper dish model on the same site for $76. I think HE might sell a DualTi e-nail for around that price too.

I think i would go with http://420titanium.com/collections/...oducts/new-vape-14-18mm-male-e-nail-16mm-coil plus the glass adapter but this is still way to expensive overall. I dont want to spend that much money when im not 100% im not going to just go back to the torch anyways

I'm pretty sure that's the wrong picture, would be interesting to see if they honoured it since it's been like that for awhile. If you go the clone route, maybe try to order one from a place with a positive report from a member. The last 10 pages should give you some options.

Have a noob question, do you plug the carb hole while inhaling off a draw? I saw mine fill completely with vapor (running coil at 630ish) while I kept my thumb on the carb hole and took a full draw. Or do I leave the hole ventilated after you put on your dab?

I would just experiment, if it doesn't seal off all the airflow on the bottom then covering it is just fine and just depends on your personal preference. This only applies to the tall glass carb cap with the hole at the top, if you plug a Ti-carb cap you'll get burned.

If you try to plug the hole on my Errlectric Vortex cap you will burn your finger. I just draw and remove the cap to allow more airflow.

yea, I have one of those tall glass. I'll try and experiment with both. thanks!

I personally can't stand carbcaps with huge holes, except if it has the hole at the top you can cap with your finger like you were saying. I like there to be nearly a vacuum, if I want an airgap, I'll lift the cap slightly. I've actually plugged up holes in carbcaps with pieces of silicon tubing before...for things that would be too hot otherwise.

I am of the same view, IME the best carb caps have smaller holes (or can be finger carbed to achieve this) on them than the vapor inlet hole of the nail that goes into your piece.

I tried looking and searching but i coulnd find any options you were talking about, can you please be more specific? Thanks!

The Errlectric vortex carb cap took my own enail experience to another level. My first cap was oversized, it went over the nail, instead of being flush with the nail's cup. Wasteful in my mind, plus when it touched my coil, I noticed a greater drop in temperature per the readout on my Auber enail.
I have to have a nail/carb cap combo that has a perfect fitament/seal. I guess I like the more restrictive hit it provides, but I also feel it helps keep more vapor in your rig as opposed to escaping off into the atmoshpere. It could just be me, but I feel my concentrate use per dab session has gone down since using this particular nail and cap.

I really like the restriction that the Vortex cap adds. But it makes clearing a larger piece a bit difficult. (Like this one) Sometimes I will give the vortex cap a nudge and it rocks ever so slightly giving just the right added airflow.

@herbivore21 BTW i wanted to know if i could just get the Subliminator XLR 2.0 Dabmaster or Apollo and just use it with my gimido e-nail box?, the prices on that thing is ridiculous for the analog box anyways lol
